Fab advice piglet as always, and im the same never lose more if I cut my syns back, same as missing the second hex a on a green and red day I usually have them too that's the way the plan works best when having exactly what's in the book our consultant put it in layman's terms once that the body then has nothing else to do but lose weight cos its getting all its fats calcium, proteins etc and also calories cutting right back just puts it into starvation mode n clings to the pounds, I see it week in week out people complaining cos they are losing half pounds but being so goid, then others ate having everything but the kitchen sink n losing pounds it works dont tweak too much n exercise , but that's where I need to up my game now and is say same as you drink all you can it all helps, sorry about the long post but I do feel for those starving while there's no need to you can do weight watchers for that lol...LOST 7ST 1/2LB July-groc chal £209/£300

RFD - welcome back sweetie and please be good to yourself - as Maman says (she always gives such great advice), getting back to some kind of normality will hopefully help enormously. Obviously the pain will be with you for a long time but I hope that it will become easier to bear.
Karen (can't possibly call you KKK) - I really wish I could give you half the heat and sunshine (and humidity) here for half of your rain - why is it all or nothing - can't bear the thought of another 3 months of this and can't wait for my weekend in Scotland in August - I won't say I wish it would rain but the heat has got to be less oppressive than this if there is any.
Off now to have my tuna and pasta salad - doesn't it feel so good to be 100% on plan!!!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

I need people like you to give me the motivation to keep going... my target is to lose 6st 6lb which will take me to 11st 7lb. I have lost 3st4lb so far and so want to keep going but like others I have slow months and think I'm never going to get there.
you are doing so well, i was at SW a long time (lost 4 stone in fact) before i could even set a final target,
before that i just said "i dont care what weight i am, i will be happy when i get down to a size 14"
then when i got to a 14, i knew i could make a 12,
i know i am still "heavy" on the scales at 11.12, but i am a size 12 now (for the first time in years!) and i am happy at that,
i know rightly, if i put my mind to it, i could loose another stone, but i think sometimes, once you get into the 10's and over a certain age, it can be hard to maintain and you can look scrawney too
no fear of that with me:rotfl:

Good news and bad news for me this week. I lost 4lbs this week so I got my 1 1/2 stone sticker and my club 10 sticker.
My consultant has leftwe have a new one and she isn't very nice (understatement of the year). My old was was absolutely fab, so laid back and friendly, I really enjoyed the image therapy. If this new woman was there when I first joined there is no way I would have stuck with it.
When going around the group talking about how much people had lost, she reads out everyones weight . When I got weighed, she didn't even comment on my 4lb loss and when I made a comment about how everything was so different this week she said 'well we are going to be doing everything properly from now on.'
I'll see how it goes, I am hoping she is just a temporary replacement until they can find someone else.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

Just a quick one and then I'll read through and catch up. Someone asked me (can't remember who, sorry) yesterday what Alizonne was. It's a medical weight loss program that guarantees v quick results - it's quite full on but it's how i lost my weight in the first place after years of faffing about with low carbing.
It's very expensive but as I was doing it to get to a good weight to try tog et pregnant I thought it was worth it. Have since kept the weight off for two years and am using slimming world to keep it that way!0 -
Also - love the treat tin idea but am sure I would abuse it. But shouldn't it be called the Syn Tin?!0

i would draw her attention to the SW book, it clearly says in it that your weight will NEVER be reveled...AFAIK?? I dont have it at hand to check, but i am sure thats right...right at the back in the T&Cs?
never mind her tho....:j:beer: well done on your loss from everyone here :A:j0 -
RFD, welcome back. So sorry you're having such a rubbish time. IF it's any help, I found that when my mum died I could actually stick to the plan better than usual - something to do with being able to control something, I think. I was at my lowest weight ever then.
Medmum, good luck with being back on the wagon. Well done! Keep it going.
KJMtidea - what a cow! She clearly has issues. Marjorie from Fat Fighters eat your heart out!0 -
I joined slimming world last week - it was not a good week to start as i knew i had my daughers 10th Birthday party and I also had my daughter's christening on sunday - she is 8 weeks old - but i thought i would take advantage of a free membership voucher that i got in magazine!!
I went back this morning for my WI - I was delighted with my 1.5 lb weight loss.. I did not expect it with such a hectic week.. to be honest i was not going to bother going this week - but i knew that if i did not - chances are i would not go back!!
I stayed for the class - and got talking to some really nice people - everyone was so nice and welcoming. I am determined this week to give it 100%... going to take some time now to plan my meals for the next few days - and then go shopping!!0
