it is!!! I roasted a chicken this morning then got all my old takeaway trays and made six chicken dinners and froze 5 of them and stripped the rest of the chicken and used the rest of the veg to make it, so technically its leftover soup :j

    just had another bowl yum

congrats on your amazing weight loss btw :)

Thank you! - and I think I'll "borrow" your roast dinner technique, never thought of freezing them!

hopefully i can lose even a lb this week - it seems to be getting harder to shift any weight recently.

today so far ive had :

    1x hifi lite bar
    1/2 bag grapes
    small jar of cockles

im making stew for dinner that'd feed the 5000! steak pieces, extra lean mince steak, potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onion, tomato puree, herbs and stock cubes :) and so far i THINK thats all syn free? i normally add a small spoon of bisto powder watered down (for colour moreso) and then serve :)

I use oxo more for colour than taste but I would think that was syn free. I couldn't get through a day on what you have had so far, I'd be raiding the cookie jar! How do you manage?(compliment:D)

Evening everyone. I'm in a bit of a fettle tonight - I just feel tired and grumpy and yuk! I hope DS has been tired out at nursery today so he goes to sleep soon.

    Today's food has been:
    B - Mullerlight
L - mushroom & onion SW quiche, lettuce, tomatoes, grated carrot. Banana, pear
S - pear, banana, alpen light bar (HEB)
D - savoury rice; 1 sausage (the others were having sausage & mash and there was one lonely one in the grill just looking at me :( ) - 4.5 syns.

I love those lonely sausages... proves that someone somewhere loves me :rotfl:I think its sausages and eggs for breakie now:p
  • Well done to the great losses! I put on a pound but to behonest, I deserved mroe than that the way I've been eating the last 2 weeks.

Someone mentioned mint yoghurt... I found it a bit odd, but have one in the freezer as we speak, as I figured it might make good frozen yoghurt :)

i am the same, still lifting bigger clothes, and still cant beleive i can get into a size 12, i said when i started (at size 20 bottoms, 22 /24 top due to my chest!!) that i didnt care what weight i was, as long as i got down to a size 14 i would be happy,

then when i got to a 14, i knew i could keep going, now for the first time in ages, i can get into 12s, and a whole basket of clothes in Primark is costing me the same as ONE item in Evans etc,

i look in mirrors and then realise its ME, and when doing my make up in the mornings, i have a double sided mirror, one side magnified, i keep using the magnified side by mistake, cause to me, thats how i still look :o

i think i now know what Dawn French meant when she said how she "missed" her fat body, and how her new shape felt alien to her,

its not all about weight either, tho you can find (esp if you WI at a group) that you get totally hung up on the number on the scale, eg i am DELIGHTED to be in a size 12, i even have a few size 10 tops, and i am so happy about that, but i am still "overweight" at 12 and half stone, and i want to keep going until i see 11 on the scales, :o

    Piglet, your a real star!

Although I have lost just over 5 stone I still go for the bigger sizes.
I think its a mental thing, when I look in the mirror I still see myself as being big, but others keep saying that I have lost enough and a few people have said that I have overdone it.

Take today for instance, I went to get some more work trousers from asda, I automatically look for size 18 knowing full well that size 14 is baggy on my bum :D I also look at size 16/18 tops and they look like sacks, but apparently my BMI says I should be 9 stone 3lbs, that's never going to happen though as I'm 54 now and not a young un' :rotfl:

I am " overweight " now and not " obese " but I am going for 11 stone 8 1/2 lb for my target, that takes me to a dead 6 stone loss. :)
I cant wait to see the 11 stones even 11 stone 13 1/2 lb, that will be awesome!
So I am hoping that for the first week in June I get to my target, that will be exactly 12 months to lose the 6 stone.

Therefore there will be no :easter::easter_ba or :easter_os for me.
Also 6 weeks today we fly to Orlando for 8 days and I hope to be pretty near to target by then.
Roll on WI tomorrow, and hope the scales are kind to me :rotfl::rotfl:

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

haha i work as a manager in a hotel so meal times are few and far between... like today i was working 6.30am-4pm and i had two funerals to look after plus breakfast service as well as the turn around of one of the funeral rooms and the breakfast room for something else by lunchtime (2 hours-ish) so i never actually sat down.

though you would think that i would be able to shift weight relatively easily... currently on my scales im 13st 0 1/4lbs and last WI i was 12st 13 1/2lbs.... so basically in two days i have to shift at least 1lb to STS or ideally 2lb to lose something :S
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

i really do love SW, its not a diet, it is DEFO something you can do for the rest of your life?

how much do you want to loose in total this time?

you are right...IT WILL HAPPEN...becaure YOU will make it happen,

its not easy, but i think..IMO...being fat is a lot harder, than getting up and doing something about it.

you are trying on clothes in shops with the sweat lashing off you, cause you are squeezing into things, then you buy things not because you like them, or thats what you want, you buy them because they fit you.

you cant find a car parking space near enough the door and you dont want to walk too far.

    you avoid the camera.

    you avoid shopping.

you avoid eating out because you dont want people looking at you thinking "any wonder she is fat"

i say.."you"..i of course mean "me"

cause thats what i was like :o

That's a lovely honest post Piglet, I bet lots of us feel or felt like that. It's in our own hands/minds what we do about it. You are doing sooooo well you'll need to change your username!

Oooh the best thing about having a chicken (apart from the parsons nose and the wings & the oysters, my fave bits) is making leftover soup from the carcase. Sometimes I add noodles and baby sweetcorn, peas, garlic, ginger, , spring onions, maybe green beans, some soy sauce and it's a gigantic bowl of chinese food costing next to mothing

well.... DRUM ROLLLLLLLLL..... 2.5 lbs off for me this week! I think that is my largest ever loss. I've had smoked salmon most days because sainsbury's had hot smoked salmon strips at £1 off so I bought 2 packs. Also most meals have had a dollop of baked beans on, following something someone mentioned on here a week or so back .. fab idea, thanks, plus superfree!:D

Onward and downward all, well done all you losers and big encouraging hugs for anyone briefly heading in the other direction:D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    thank you so much :A

thats right, well its now 5 stone 7.5lbs in 38 weeks,

    i take Xenical (Orlisat),
do LOTS of exercise, eg walk every day, 100 / 250 weight bands per day, swimming once or twice a week, and a circuit / boxercise class once a week.
    AND follow the SW plan,
so i tihnk its a combination of all 3 thats got me this far, it might sound like a lot of weight, but its just over 2lbs a week (77.5lbs in 38 weeks) so i hope that the next...the last 9.5lbs come off without much bother.

Hi piget, I just wanted to say a HUGE well done on your weight loss, you are absolutely inspirational. I was going to ask the same question about how you had managed to achieve it, bu tis has already been answered.
I wonder if I could please ask you about the Orlistat instead, I used to take it about 2 years ago when I went on a diet and (apologies if TMI) it used to give me unexpected and rather explosive number 2's, and always seemed to be a really inconvienient times, eg when I had to take my son to nursery.
I have been thining about going to the doctor to ask for some more, but am concerned about the side effects. Do you have any problems with them?

well I did lose last night - the scales wavered between half a pound and a pound .... and settled on the half:mad::mad::mad::mad: so I need half a pound to get to my 5 and a half stone sticker!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am frustrated - it is definitely getting harder and I'm still a fair way off my target.

My sis's target used to be 10 stones and to be a size 14. She is now a size 12 ( go sis!!!) but just under 11 stone. I think she's reset her target to 10stone 10lbs.

My initial target was 10 stone 7.5lbs - but for the first time I am having doubts as to whether I will get there - I'll have to see how the next few weeks go....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Sorry to hear that Yorkie - disappointing for you.

I'm new at this but isn't there something called 'Express' that some people use to give them a boost when they get stuck?
