Just back from our weigh-in at SW. I lost another 6 pounds, making a total loss of 6 stone 10 pounds in 23 weeks, winning Slimmer of the Week, Slimmer of the Month and my 6½ stone award. My 18yr old son lost another 1½ pounds, making a total loss of 2 stones 2 pounds in 23 weeks. My wife was working, so no weigh-in this week. I'm going to look at pictures of food again next week!
It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.

Well done! Is that the key then? Just look at the food but don't actually eat it:D

What I'm trying to say is .... why can't they fill up on the right stuff? They can eat free food until it comes out of their ears and low syns stuff so why would a child taking some exams cause a person to start eating pie and chips?

It's generally just an excuse to eat whatever they want, I'm guilty of it too and I'll happily admit to it. No one needs junk food, they generally just like it - salad/fruit doesn't give you the sicky full feeling that junk does. And excuses are used to justify the eating of it.

Hello... 1lb on for me tonight - fully deserved so i'm ok with it. Would like to try and lose 3 lbs next week though so i need to be back on track ALL week rather than just part of it..

    Great losses/STS Pennylane, KissyKaren, snoopy, G&B, watchitm80.:T

Glad to see you're on the mend Blowden..
Someone mentioned about not going to work the other day and not knowing how to handle being in the house - that's what I have everyday as I work from home and it's a bloody nightmare. I really wish I could afford to move my office back out of the house - I'd be so much more disciplined.

It was me, Med mum. i feel for you! i've struggled this week and put a 1lb on to show for it (although some of that was holiday eating) I hope you can beat that bl00dy food demon and good luck for Sunday x

But if people are paying to go to SW each week and trying to lose weight why do they put stuff in their mouths which they know is not part of their SW eating plan.

I understand what you are saying, and my OH had the same opinion, but i know for one that I have an addiction to food, it's not a completely uncontrollable addiction by any standards but i would 8 times out of 10 pick a packet of crisps over an apple.

If you are an emotional eater (stress, boredom, anger, happiness, sadness - i'm all of the above) then an apple or a low fat yogurt doesn't cut it as much as a bar of chocolate does.

PennyLane~Have to admit I find it very stressfull when my DS was doing his standard grades and highers so I can identify with that one.
I am a stress eater, an emotional eater.........every kind of eater really  :rotfl:

Me too - I joined S/W after my DD2 had done her GCSE's. She has just done her A Levels despite not being well.

I am an emotional eater - if things aren't going well then i will stray! It's not that I want to stray - I don't but I need life to be relatively OK to do it properly!

    Morning all,

Well done watchit. Shala- not bad at all, will get that off and more next week. Caroline- any reason for the gain or completely out of the blue?

MedMum - I feel for you re. being at home all day. I don't know how I could stick to this without the routine of being in work. That's no help to you at all but Macpep's ideas are good ones. Good luck for WI.

Anyone doing anything nice for the weekend? More DIY for me, tiling the bathroom, *yawn*. Still, at least it'll keep me out of the fridge and may count as a bit of body magic. Hoping for some decent weather as recent bad weather has prevented me from doing any washing, although it's been lovely here for the last 2 days despite floods not too far away. Sky is very grey so suspect it's coming this way, bah!

    Green for me today:
B: Cheese omelette (HEA), pitta (HEB)
L: 1/2 pack Ainsley couscous (1.5) with L/O roast veg, nectarine
T: Linda Mc onion & rosemary sausages, chips, beans or carrots & broccoli
S: WW yog, Freddo (5), mini milk (1.5)

    :)

Weigh In for me yesterday. Lost 1.5lb and got back into target:j. Been struggling a bit over the last couple of months since I gave up smoking but now settling down again.

I've never been a big loser usually just 1/2lb or 1lb a week, so was really pleased to have lost 1.5 this week. Would like to try and lose another couple of pounds to get back right on target.

Everybody who goes to SW is there because they cannot control their weight on their own including you.
I try not to judge any of them as I don't want to be judged myself.

Well done to all the losers :T

Morning all - kick my bum will you please?? After falling of the chocolate wagon on Tues I have found it really hard to pull myself out of it .... yes I know some people like my hubby can't understand but I do have a problem with chocolate... since I got the taste for it again on Tuesday after a 5 and a half month ban, it's all I can think about and I ended up having some on wed and yesterday too then feeling awful.

I went out yesterday and stocked up with coconut mullerlights and some fruit but last night the ONLY thing I wanted was a mini creme egg (yes we still have easter eggs in the house because I haven't been hoovering them up like I usually do) and once I had that I had some B&J ice cream.

I know that it's carp and will make my weight loss go in the wrong direction but HELP! :(
