just like you all predicted i have pushed it too far....i have pulled my hamstring i have never felt so much pain in my life  the most bizarre thing is i had nearly 2 weeks away from good old friend Jillian and the cross trainer started again last Monday and did 3 days BFBM but then i didn't have time to do anything cos of work (and i got the 50 shades of grey books!) and I had the pleasure of being a torch ambassador on sunday when the olympic flame passed through leeds (the tshirts only came in XL and my friend thought it was hilarious that it buried me!)
Then yesterday I had another one of my turns in the local shopping centre came home and was sick quite a bit then as i got up off the sofa to go to bed it felt like someone had stabbed me in the leg and was twisting it with a knife no matter what position i got myself in it hurt like no pain i have ever felt before (neighbours must wonder what i'm doing because I keep shouting out in pain). I am absolutely devasted I am doing the race for life in 3 weeks time and at the moment i cannot stand for a second without feeling like my leg is being ripped from my body feeling very sorry for myself so off to dope up on the pain killers and hope i can get some sleep but I think its safe to say now despite all the warnings from my body and you lovely people on here I have pushed it too far and now am officially out of the weight loss game for the forseeable future :(
Thank you so much for all the advice and support....wish i had listened I will be lurking around until I can get back in the game but wish you all the best with your journey....if your body says stop please stop!!! :)

Vicki sorry to hear about your pulled hamstring - I know exactly what you're feeling and wish you a speedy recovery.

However, I'm more concerned as to why you think that you should now be out of the weight loss game (as you put it). You can still follow the eating plan but you just won't be able to do any body magic for a bit. Maman will tell you that she lost almost all of her weight without doing any exercise.

Don't make it an excuse to get into old bad habits. The weight loss might slow down but you know that this is a great way of eating so don't start putting junk in your body again. Eating so healthily will also help you recover quicker.

    Good luck.

no i'm def not giving up on the healthy eating thing but its going to be slower now that i've been banned from exercising by the doctor if i start thinking about weight loss etc i know i will start trying to exercise again so just saying that i'm not going to think about it in the way i was before or i will end up destroying my body completely! :rotfl:thank you for your concern xx

vicki~Sorry to hear about your hamstring.
    Pain indeed.
Take care and as Med mum says you can still follow SW just without the bodymagic.

I maintained this week which is a bit pants, I did have pizza last Tuesday evening but have been good the rest of the week. I think it is more down to my monthly cycle - being a woman is rubbish at times! Oh well, must try harder for next week.
Well done to all the losers, you have done really well.

Hello all. I've been a bit crap and lurky becaue I've not really being doing SW properly. No real reason, just lots of things piling up and making me lose focus.

I've decided to do a couple of weeks of Alizonne, which is the medical diet I did to lose all my weight. I've held the weight off for a couple of years but now I find myself 9 pounds away from my goal weight and it's not really shifting, plus themedication that I'm on (steroids) makes me put on weight... so time to do something drastic now before I really regret it.

I only have enough sachets for two weeks, though so after that I'll be straight back onto SW and hopefully back in teh right head space too. I'm finding that overall I maintain on SW rather than lose, which is fine if I'm at goal! Willl still be checking you all out on here though. WEll done the losers!

Got a bit of a surprise at WI last night - had been good but didn't feel like I'd lost so was expecting a 1lb loss at the most, but ended up with 2.5 off and got my 2st and SOTM :D:D:D Into the next stone down as well (by half a pound!) so made up with that. Got the SOTW basket to take home as the real winner hadn't stayed, and there were some fab things in, including cherry bakewell Alpen lights. Haven't seen these before and they look really nice so it's shame I can't stand cherry bakewells, but OH will have them. Speaking of whom, he has done something to his back so has been oohing and ahhing for a day or so. I sympathise, I really do- he's in a lot of pain and as I said above I've had back problems for years so know what it's like but he won't sit down and rest and equally won't stop moaning! I mean, I'm trying my best but what am I meant to do?! I did buy some ice cream last night, mainly to cheer him up (not the best when he's trying to lose weight too but it did work ;)) and partly as a post WI treat for me; maybe I should buy more of that and just feed it to him?! :rotfl:

ETA - Just seen your post PS71 - well done on your club 10 and hope yor back feels better soon - must be the week for it :(

Thank you, and well done on both SOTW & SOTM. Quite like the sound of those Cherry Bakewell Alpen Lights, will have to keep an eye open for them.

well i've got WI tonight and I'm dreading it! My body just doesn't feel right any more - my boobs are all swollen and my jeans are tight and I've been really good!

And after a 3.5lb gain last week - I really don't want to put on again!

Congrats to all the losers - and lets stick with it to all the strugglers...

Weigh in tomorrow night for me. Hoping at least 1 lb. loss.

Have been very good - not even had my HEa today because I made oatbran pancakes for brekkie which were delicious. We had blueberries and chopped banana with them.

Evening meal was baked salmon fillets (half price in Tesco) with jacket potato and SW Mango & Red Pepper Salsa and it was lovely. Followed by strawberries and a blob of low fat Creme Fraiche.

That is an impressive weight loss. Well done you - you must be thrilled.
Regarding the mince - I try to get the extra lean (but you're right it is expensive) and TBH I often end up with just the "lean". I always dry fry mine and, as you said, I drain off any excess fat if there is any. I justify it to myself because I haven't eaten a crumb of bread, a biscuit, crisps, cake, sweets, sugar .... since I started back at SW over a month ago. ;)

My clothes are feeling really loose but I have lost only half a stone. Feels like much more to me!:)

Pennylane - thank you, i am very pleased, but still got a LONG way to go, haven't even thought about a target yet as I am thinking more about how I look and feel rather than numbers on a scale.
To both Pennylane and Blodwen - Thank you for the advice re the mince, maybe I will try going for just the lean mince and see how it goes. I've noticed that Tesco have put up the price of the extra lean from 2 for £6 to 2 for £7, I really do find that I am spending a lot more now I'm doing SW as anything remotely healthy is way more expensive than crisps, chocolate and biscuits :(

Just wanted to add my bit about clothes getting looser, I've lost a little under 2 and a half stone and my clothes are definitely getting looser, I think I am also starting to go down a size (at last!), I thought that after about a stone that I would be buying smaller clothes, but it seems quite a big weight difference for me in between sizes.

Well done to all the losers and good luck for those who are yet to weigh in, and please remember that however small the loss (I've had plenty of small ones), it is still a loss and we will get there eventually if we stick with it.
