Thought I had posted this this morning :o

    Hi All :hello:

I am feeling totally sorry for myself this morning, in so much pain I could cry. I was fairly good at the weekend, went out for dinner yesterday to a carvery, had salad to start then turkey, roast beef, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower & 2 small roast tatties! I cannot do the shred tonight as I have had a bad attack of farmer giles & they are also bleeding (sorry if tmi)

    Anyhow todays EE Menu

B – Berries, melon, strawberries with FF Nat yoghurt
L – SW quiche with salad, melon, strawberries Alpen light ( HEA & ½ HEB)
D – SW Quick chicken fried rice with broccoli, cauliflower
S – Banana, toffee yoghurt, Alpen light (½ HEB)

If I do the shred it will make me worse, am gutted as its now less than 6 weeks until I need to don a bikini

  • oh my goodness Macpep really feel for you and hope you get better soon. If you can, just try and do some light stretching exercise at least of upper body and then at least you won't feel as if you're doing nothing at all.

Can you walk at all - even just go for a short stroll.

Wishing you better and get in a warm bath.

Thanks Medmum, warm bath later & frozen peas methinks. Am actually sitting on a chair at work, bahookie is on fire, DH had to bring me in clean underwear, trousers & a panty liner :o I got an ice pack out the first aid kit which musta been out of date as it melted within seconds leaving me with a wet bum at work which dried in to be pure white, I have no idea whats in these things, also left a white mark on my chair:o

Its only me in an office with 2 men & 16 men in workshop

  • haha Macpep haven't heard that word for many a year - bahookie!

I can just picture your performance this afternoon! Must have given those guys a great afternoon's entertainment.

Actually you know the best ice packs (and don't know if you can get them in the UK) but they look like ice pops - long and thin and rounded - now they would fit nicely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to sit on a rubber ring - I remember a friend of mine doing that after she gave birth!

Grrr, 1lb ON for me today :( Nevermind - next week is my last weigh in before hols and I would love 3lb off to get my 3 1/2 st award so I'm gonna have nose to grindstone all week to try to achieve it.

Macpep you have my sympathy, I suffer terribly from piles and fissures. Rectogesic from doctor helps as it relaxes sphincter and allows more bloodflow to affected parts which should help healing. Sorry if TMI folks.

I couldn't resist posting on this thread. I've been going to SW since 19th January 2012. Since then I have lost 6 stone 4 pounds in the ensuing 22 weeks. My wife has lost 2 stone 6 pounds and my 18yr old son 2 stone 0½ pound.
Our technique to lose weight is peer pressure - let me explain. Firstly, we tell EVERYONE that we know about our diet. That means every Thursday at 8pm (after our weekly SW group) we post our progress on Facebook. The messages of support that we get each week help to keep us on the straight and narrow. We don't necessarily follow the SW plan, but we do use a lot of their recipes as well as others.
Since starting the diet we have completely cut out Take-Aways, Ready Meals, Cook-In Sauces, Bread and Potatoes. My target is to lose 10 stones in a year, bearing in mind that my starting weight was exactly 27 stone 7 pounds. I'm really looking forward to next Christmas being the lowest weight that I've been for over 30 years. My wife and son don't have much more to lose, but will stick with me at SW for moral support! Anyway, enough of my waffle, I'm off to look at some picures of food now...
It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.
  • Wow Watchit what a result. I have a very good friend who has lost just over 7 stone since he started in September 2011. He'll be over here to visit in August and I can't wait to see the transformation. I saw him in February and already noticed the difference. He also records each week on FB and he's been taking regular photographs in front of the fridge - that fridge sure has grown since last September ;-)

    Keep up the great work.
