That looks good caroline!
I could never eat 4apples in one day, they make my tummy gurgle too much. I know it's handy to buy a bag of them but have you thought of pears or oranges?sorry, Perhaps you dont like any other fruit.
I don't really eat any other fruit apart from apples and melon. I do buy it but end up throwing it out or giving it away to my Mum. I like oranges and pears, but always seem to reach for apples instead. Loving the really cheap bag of them from Mr T's at the minute.
Oh and I love bananas but tend to eat too many of them and then the scales suffer....lol;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Went out with OH this a.m. Which kind of threw the usual morning plan. Have had 4 cups of tea (with skim milk - HEA) so far.
Lunch - SW spicy lentil soup, banana, apple, grapes, muller light
Snack - raw, homegrown broad beans - scrummy.
Not sure what to have for dinner; the rest of the family are having a curry feast.
My favourite SW cookbook is the Curry Feast one ! I love SW curries.
Edit. It's called Curry Heaven !0 -
Anyone know the syns offhand for breaded fish fingers...;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

I was in a strop last night cos I stupidly went on wii fit and it told me that I had gained 5lb since last Sunday!!
but went on again this morning and I have since lost 4lb so should be looking at a 1lb gain tomorrow which is disappointing.
Today I have had:
B - mullerlight & a satsuma
L - homemade lentil soup, 1 ryvita, satsuma, pear
S - banana, 1 ryvita
D - lentil soup, 1 ryvita, leftover sweet n sour cicken from last night, satsuma
The rest of the family are having pizza, chips & chicken paora from the local pizza shop for teaI may crack and have half a pakora but it shouldn't be too bad syn wise as there is hardly any batter on them and I will pick off any that there is.... that said I would LOVE a big slice of pizza and some caramel B&J ice cream ..... I must have willpower, I must have willpower, I must have willpower

The area manager, who was sat in our group whilst this was being discussed once, says it is to 'protect our weight loss.'
So you should really have some fruit with breakfast and some veg/salad/fruit at lunchtime. Hope this helps...
i've always been very dubious over that claim. i understand where it is coming from but i don't think its been taken the way SW intend it, or had the principle explained well in group.
I think its meant to be e.g. if you would have had a medium bowl of stew, you should switch down to a smaller one that is roughly 2/3 the size of the previous one and then have a small 1/3 side plate of e.g. salad. i think its meant to be about consciously replacing 1/3 of what ever you are going to serve yourself with SF food, not about adding in more SF on top of the portion you planned or adding in a SF starter/dessert or adding in an extra snack cz you feel you have to cz its not free anymore if you don't.
from what I've seen, it does seem to have be taken by people as meaning "have a bowl of stew and then even if you are full and don't want to eat anymore, you MUST have 1/3 again in SF at some point in your day otherwise its not free".
personally, i don't like it as a rule. i think taken rightly its a good idea to do a SF food swop, but taken wrongly it can be a highly dangerous idea of encouraging eating for eatings sake or making people feel like they must eat more food today or they aren't doing the plan right.
i think if you had your bowl of stew, and that was enough for you, it filled you up and was syn free/you counted the syns properly, ignore forcing yourself to eat more food just cz you "have" to.
if you aren't hungry and you eat an extra apple cz SW told you too, you have overeaten more than your body needed/wanted and yes it may be low calorie, but you still have to burn off that apples worth of calories somewhere. add in an extra apple a day over a period of time and those few added in will add up to a lot that could set you back a week or two from target on there own (and the cynic in me says another £5/£10 in SW's pocket!)0 -

I have read on here that sometimes the Wii's give a wrong reading if the batteries are low.
Can you not pick all the cheese off a slice of pizza and have that. I find that if I am craving something I tend to eat loads of other stuff instead and sometimes it works, but the majority of time I eat more foodwise than if I had of just had the craving food in the first place...if that makes sense....;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

That makes a lot of sense to me, although to be fair I have read on here that the advice is to have a salad or extra superfrees before eating so you will fill up with those before eating the stew/chilli....;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
sorry, just realised that seems like a bit of a rant
its one of the things that really winds me up with SW that they just cant fully and exactly explain these points and then make every consultant say the same thing to every member.
also forgot to say i lost 1.5 pounds this week so i lost the 1 i'd put on and then some. :jcaroline78 wrote: »That makes a lot of sense to me, although to be fair I have read on here that the advice is to have a salad or extra superfrees before eating so you will fill up with those before eating the stew/chilli....
thats one of the problems with SW, all the consultants have their own take on it, if they explain it at all. I've heard 1/3 on same actual plate or its not EE free, 1/3 SF over the whole day, 1/3 of the meal as a whole (e.g. soup made with lots of SF veg) and 1/3 of meal as whole (as in add in an extra SF starter/dessert on top).0
