Hi Everyone, it's been a busy few days for me but really glad to say that I've stayed on track.
On Thursday evening we went to a Golden Wedding anniversary party. A huge "do" in a hall with a reception followed by a sit-down meal. I didn't eat anything at the reception and kept a glass of diet coke in my hand all the time. The meal was half a melon and fruit salad to start followed by a tea-cup of cold cucumber soup and then chicken with salad. I didn't touch the dessert and had no wine and only water to drink - felt really pleased with myself.
On Friday I had a hospital appointment to have a mammography and ultrasound and was pretty stressed about it all as I was sent after my doctor wasn't happy with an examination. Fortunately everything is fine and they didn't find anything.
Son and DIL came for dinner last night and I just had a huge bowl of vegetable soup and then a big plate of salad - just didn't fancy having any more than that.
Today I've had a ton of salad, some chicken, some tuna, some cheese (syns) and lots of vegetables and have drunk 2 litres of water.
Everyone is watching football this evening so think I might take myself out for a walk now instead of in the morning. Got a wedding to go to tomorrow night so have to pace myself tomorrow and hope that the meal will be as SW-friendly as the meal on Thursday night.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I have just sat with my mother while she had fish and chips. She is elderly and can only eat a few chips so her portion is far too big and she leaves them.
I am pleased to report that not one chip passed the lips of me or hubby.:) I quickly wrapped them up and took them to the wheelie bin.
Hubby and I had Pitta Bread (7 syns) loads of salad and grilled chicken and really enjoyed it and for dessert we had a Muller Lemon cheesecake yogurt (1 syn).
I am hoping for a 1 lb loss this week.0 -
Welcome Cranky :T
Another SE day for me:
Breakfast - apple, banana, Mullerlight, cup of tea (skim milk)
Lunch - last of the mushy pea curry, 2 tbs plain cous cous, 1 slice ham, salad, , l/f spray dressing, melon
Snack - melon
Dinner - spicy Mexican bean burger (5.5 syns), wholemeal roll (HEB), lots of salad, pickled red cabbage, l/f spray dressing, plus a little bit of l/f natural yogurt as the bean burger was so spicy
Mullerlight with grapes, blueberries, kiwi
And a half hour walk dodging the rain!0 -
Just done a 35 min walk in disgusting heat - 11pm and it's 30C and 65% humidity - revolting - off to have a shower and then bed!

L = lasagna and salad
D = wedding so no idea what will be served but hopefully there will be chicken and salad and that's what I'll stick to
