Hiya...to be honest it is not so much the food I want, but the feeling that I have been "bad" eating junk...my downfall is chocolate and crisps.
I go to class with my Mum, although we only go in to get weighed we don't stay for the talk as we both find it a bit boring. The consultant is a bit dizzy and never really gives a talk, it is just Mrs A lost 2lb this week, that gives her a total loss of 7lbs and everyone claps and then Mrs A talks about her week.
I have read on here about Body Magic too, and she never mentions anything to do with that either.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
I've heard that some of the consultants are way better than others. However, you never know what tips you're going to pick up in the 2nd part of the class so I personally would always stay. I also think it's a lot of money to pay just to stand on the scales - surely you could just pop into your local Boots and slot in a few coins and get weighed? What are you gaining from it???Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I personally need someone to weigh me. I have tried over and over again to do it alone, but can't. I need to have that thought that someone is going to weigh in and therefore I have to be good or I am just throwing fivers away.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

That I totally understand as I have the same problem but if weighing in is just for the consultant then you aren't taking responsibility for your actions (!) By staying for class and owning up, in front of the others, what you've done, you're then having to take responsibility for your actions. If it's only your consultant that knows what you've done then that's not giving you the same impetus as a whole group of people knowing.
Yes I know that we all know here but it's not the same is it because we're basically all hiding behind our screen names.
Just a thought and not trying to diss you or anything cos I'm just as guilty but going to group to weigh and leave is only marginally better than standing on the scales at home or in Boots - and just think of the money!!!Mediterranean Mum

Thank you for that. I had never thought of it like that before, I suppose having to stand in front of the class would make me stick to it better. Think maybe I will stay for class tonight...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

Please share the following information with your friends.
I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out before!!!!!!
I wash my hair in the shower and the shampoo runs down all over me
Printed clearly on the label is the following warning;
FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND BODY
No wonder I've been gaining weight over the years!!!!
I have gotten rid of that shampoo and am going to start using Dish Washing Liquid instead.
Its label reads, "DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."
Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone.....I'll be in the shower!
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this, I needed that laugh this morning. :rotfl::rotfl:
Felt really low yesterday, busy at work and people kept adding stuff to my desk faster than I could clear it, almost offered to go in today on my day off. We had a meeting at college about eldest son deciding on uni and the financial costs etc, don't know how we're going to manage that, its so scary. Jumped on the scales, (I know I shouldn't) but weighed 1lb heavier in two days and I've kept 100% to plan, so yesterday all went wrong!
B/fast - fruit salad, nat yog, honey
Lunch - chicken, baby potato, salad, Activia yogurt
Tea before meeting - w/m bap, Kerry Low Low, sliced tomato
OH tea after meeting - shared 1/3 portion chip shop chips
Snacks - Curly Wurly, 2 Jaffa cakes and sliced banana, yog, dried apricots
:eek:darne't add it up or jump on the scales todaySW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -

Definitely stay for Image therapy tonight. You say it's boring at your group but how about asking for some advice and getting everyone else involved. A goup is only as good as the group members - you can't just leave it to the consultant to make it interesting.
At my group we often talk about different new recipes we have tried during the week; discussing different ways to use a particular food such as chicken.
When you're talking about your week make sure you say something which can get others involved.
Good luck.

Oh and can someone tell me what NSV means ?
NSV = Non Scale Victory i.e. getting into smaller size, someone complimenting you on your loss etc
