Morning,
Well done Shelly, Pennylane, G&B, and congratulations Ammonite! Part of the reason I want to lose weight is that we're thinking about having kids in the near future and I want to be as healthy as possible for that, not to mention not wanting to pile on loads of weight while pregnant, and it sounds like you are doing the same, well done!I had 5 slices of pizza last night from Dominos, today I feel horredous, almost hungover! Stomach ache, feel sick, dehydrated, I think my body had got used to all the healthiness and it definitely didn't like the pizza. Won't be doing that again
Ugh, just the thought of a food hangover makes me feel ill! We haven't had any takeaways since starting but I had half a block of Kendal mint cake after post-WI tea on Mon and could hardly stay awake half an hour later, then felt all hot and headachey. I think our bodies definitely get used to not having the junk.caroline78 wrote: »When I followed any plan in the past I always had a treat on weigh in night, but this was an extreme treat...maybe a chinese, or chippy and massive bag of crisps with a dip and loads of chocolate....often far too much to eat in one night so there was leftovers the next day which I thought I might as well eat to get out of the way. This time I am still going to have a treat but no where near as much, and will have my normal SW dinner first. I like to have enough treats to feel like I am going to burst, but if I have my dinner, followed by melon, then there shouldn't be much room in my tummy to fill. I also don't count any food items on weigh in day just start afresh the next day, does anyone else do this, or am I the only greedy piggy here.
When I used to do WW me and my mum used to have a chippy tea or similar every week after WI, and I admit that after it I used to move onto the biscuits, chocolate and whatever I knew I wouldn't be allowed in the week. There were many weeks when I went to bed feeling like a barrel and woke up 'hungover'. This time I'm like you, having a treat but just a small one. It's normally a fresh bread roll and a bar of chocolate, but since I normally have HEs and syns left (I don't count them strictly on WI day but know what I've had up to the actually weighing, mainly cos I've written it out on here) it isn't too much over. I feel so much better for it, mentally and physically, as I feel more in control and no longer get food hangovers (the Kendal mint cake was a minor blipPlus it was 2 years out of date so I could blame that for making me feel ill, but I doubt it goes off! :rotfl:)
Someone from work has brought sweets back from their hols but I looked up the syns and it's really not worth it- 4.5 for one of the tiny bags (25g) of cola bottles  Not actually that fussed, which Is good. Probably helped by having a decent breakfast - OH was out at his cricket match (would it be mean of me to laugh a bit because it rained?! I hate cricket!) so I got up early, sorted the cats out and had time to make a lovely cheese omelette before coming into work early and cracking on with some lab work. I think that just proves it's him who slows me down
Anyway, I'll shut up now. Slightly more organised green day today:
B: Cheese omelette (HEA) & wholemeal pitta (HEB)
L: L/O Veg curry and rice
T: More veg curry (after cinema), micro rice (1.5)
S: Milk (HEA), 2 x Alpen light (HEB), Greek muller (0.5). Polar bar (6)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Blodwen - I think you are doing it right - trying to lose weight before having a family.
Just reading your post I am thinking about how you are "treating yourself". Could you find something less "synful" and better for you to reward yourself? OK, a bread roll or bar of chocolate is definitely better than a "chippy tea" but what about some strawberries and creme fraiche or big fresh fruit salad. They will take longer to eat. They are better for your body and your skin too.;)
Just a thought.:)0 -

Thanks for your commentsTrue, that would be better for me but in my mind strawberries etc. aren't a treat as I eat them most days while on plan. Actually if I work it out I'm probably not going over syns since, as I mentioned earlier, I normally have at least 2 HEs and all my syns unused, I just don't bother counting it up on WI day even if it comes in under syns. I think it's the thought that it isn't something I'd have all the time that makes it appealing. I suppose ideally a 'treat' wouldn't really involve food but at the moment looking forward to a little something on a Monday night gives me something to look forward to the rest of the week and if it keeps me on track and doesn't do my losses any harm I'm happy with that.
ETA: Just thinking about what you said about some things taking longer to eat. I do find that if I am 'allowing' myself something instead of sneaking it in surreptitiously I eat it slower and enjoy it more - nothing worse than shovelling something you shouldn't be eating in and not enjoying it, what a waste!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Thank you sooooo much for sharing this, I needed that laugh this morning. :rotfl::rotfl:
Felt really low yesterday, busy at work and people kept adding stuff to my desk faster than I could clear it, almost offered to go in today on my day off. We had a meeting at college about eldest son deciding on uni and the financial costs etc, don't know how we're going to manage that, its so scary. Jumped on the scales, (I know I shouldn't) but weighed 1lb heavier in two days and I've kept 100% to plan, so yesterday all went wrong!
B/fast - fruit salad, nat yog, honey
Lunch - chicken, baby potato, salad, Activia yogurt
Tea before meeting - w/m bap, Kerry Low Low, sliced tomato
OH tea after meeting - shared 1/3 portion chip shop chips
Snacks - Curly Wurly, 2 Jaffa cakes and sliced banana, yog, dried apricots
:eek:darne't add it up or jump on the scales today
PS THROW THE BLOODY SCALES AWAY - NOW!!!!gunsandbanjos wrote: »NSV = Non Scale Victory i.e. getting into smaller size, someone complimenting you on your loss etc
Well i've lost 1.5lbs this week and i'm 0.4lbs off my mini target which was to be 9st 7 by my graduation, i'll take 9st 7.4 though:D Not going to lose sleep over 0.4 of a lb:rotfl:
Will be off plan today as it is my graduation and there is a champagne reception and then going out for dinner.
Have a great day everyone.
G&B have a fabulous day - congratulations and yes, what's 0.4lb between friends!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
WI for me this evening - just a .5 loss for me. My consultant has suggested I try Success Express. Anyone else done this?
i did, and it totally kick started my losses again, i went thru a few slow weeks, only loosing 0.5lbs, next week another 0.5 off...the next week a STS...even tho i was sooooooo good, i tried SE, 3 days the first week, and lost 3.5lbs, then 2 days the next week and lost 3lbs and then things just all kickstarted again from there,Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »I've heard that some of the consultants are way better than others. However, you never know what tips you're going to pick up in the 2nd part of the class so I personally would always stay. I also think it's a lot of money to pay just to stand on the scales - surely you could just pop into your local Boots and slot in a few coins and get weighed? What are you gaining from it???
agree MM...i always stay, try and stay or else you paying a fiver to get weighed as others said,:money: and its not the consultant that makes that part of the group, its the members, its their experinces on the week gone by, and their hopes for the week ahead,
caroline78 wrote: »Hiya...to be honest it is not so much the food I want, but the feeling that I have been "bad" eating junk...my downfall is chocolate and crisps.
I go to class with my Mum, although we only go in to get weighed we don't stay for the talk as we both find it a bit boring. The consultant is a bit dizzy and never really gives a talk, it is just Mrs A lost 2lb this week, that gives her a total loss of 7lbs and everyone claps and then Mrs A talks about her week.
I have read on here about Body Magic too, and she never mentions anything to do with that either.
try and stay, staying to group is great for picking up tips, once a week i was having boiled eggs and toast and counting the second "bread" as syns, it was only from staying to group that i learned this was a green day!
also picked up, and shared some great tips at group.
i have told the group about the SW "Ferrero Rocher" and the SW "mousse" and now both are a massive hit in the group
yeah, the losses and gains can be boring at times, tho sometimes the consultant will say "piggy, you lost 3lbs this week, do you want to share your week with the group"... then you get to hear great tips, how to up your superfrees and speeds, how to do success express etc.
lost of people at our group now take rice for thier breakfast since my mum shared her stories about it, how she makes it, and what she takes it with, how it saves on your bread and milk,
its an hour or so, once a week, give it a few weeks and see how it goes.0 -
Gosh, you are all doing well on the SW eating plan, keep it up everyone!
I've not been on here for a while but have continued to keep on at SW and have finally made my target (Woo Hoo!)
I'm now looking for recipes to keep me there. I've loads of quark (found on the whoopsie shelf!) and can only find cheesecake ones (not a fan of those) and would like savoury ones - can anyone tell me where to look? Thanks.

Morning All
Hope you are all well, I have really sore shoulders today, back on shred level 2 but it wasn’t as bad as I thought although I still do the beginners squat thrusts & jumps. Totally overindulged on the syns, my OH bless him thought he was doing me a good turn by getting me a wee bottle of rose as I had a tough day at work. Would have been rude not to drink it
Todays EE Plan
B – Berries, Kiwi, FF nat yoghurt
L – WM Pitta with chicken & salad, melon, strawberries, apple (HEB)
D – SW Chicken Curry, will have a salad with HEA cheese to start with
S – Banoffee Activia (1 syn).
Syns for the day – 1/Running Total 36.5/105
Exercise – Shred Level 2; day 2
Drinks – Green Tea All Day:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Can anyone tell me more about sucess express?
Success Express is like Extra Easy, but instead of have 1 / 3 superfree, you have got to eat 2/3 superfree,
all snacks should be superfree, you are allowed 15 syns per day, and 2 HEX, i would have a slimming world bar as my 2nd HEX at night time, usually with a hot chocolate of the same flavour, and it really cut down on the syns,
you do feel like fruit and veg just might start to grow out your ears, but it works :j
