Well what a horrible surprise I just got!:( Had lovely homemade SW quiche and salad for lunch, then fancied a yogurt. Took one from the couple of dozen in fridge and started eating it and discovered it was a MullerRice (Toffee) not a yogurt.
Anyway, I finished it and came straight to the computer to check syn value and its 10 syns!!!:( That's all my syns for the day gone.
The pots are so similar in size and shape and I can only think a previous customer must have put it back it with the yogs.0 -

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
WI for me this evening - just a .5 loss for me. My consultant has suggested I try Success Express. Anyone else done this?
i did, and it totally kick started my losses again, i went thru a few slow weeks, only loosing 0.5lbs, next week another 0.5 off...the next week a STS...even tho i was sooooooo good, i tried SE, 3 days the first week, and lost 3.5lbs, then 2 days the next week and lost 3lbs and then things just all kickstarted again from there,
agree MM...i always stay, try and stay or else you paying a fiver to get weighed as others said,:money: and its not the consultant that makes that part of the group, its the members, its their experinces on the week gone by, and their hopes for the week ahead,
try and stay, staying to group is great for picking up tips, once a week i was having boiled eggs and toast and counting the second "bread" as syns, it was only from staying to group that i learned this was a green day!
also picked up, and shared some great tips at group.
i have told the group about the SW "Ferrero Rocher" and the SW "mousse" and now both are a massive hit in the group
yeah, the losses and gains can be boring at times, tho sometimes the consultant will say "piggy, you lost 3lbs this week, do you want to share your week with the group"... then you get to hear great tips, how to up your superfrees and speeds, how to do success express etc.
lost of people at our group now take rice for thier breakfast since my mum shared her stories about it, how she makes it, and what she takes it with, how it saves on your bread and milk,
its an hour or so, once a week, give it a few weeks and see how it goes.

the rice for anyone who would like to try it is what my mum has for her breakfast almost every morning, i have it sometimes, and its really nice and very filling,
when i first started SW, my mum who was already there was having porridge for her breakfast and then a sandwich at lunchtime and synning the bread.
i said to her "change your breakfast, its such a waste to use syns on bread, syns are for goodies".. ( i have a self emposed rule that i will not waste syns on anything i can have for free, eg yoghurt, soft drinks, rice, chips, soup etc)
so now she has pudding rice for breakfast,
she just makes it up with water and boils it in a big pot, enough for a few days,
she stores it in the fridge and takes a bowl of it each morning, she likes to add fruit to it, and a muller lite, her fav at the mo is pineapples and the muller coconut,
she also likes red grapes and muller strawberry,
when i have it, i just take with a splash of milk and some sweetner sprinkled over the top,
what i dont like about cereal is that your HEXs are both gone in one go,
so this way you are getting to eat something as filling as porridge, but you can keep your HEX for bread, sandwich at lunchtime, SW bar at nite time etc.0 -
Hi everyone - I would like to intriduce myself... I have come across this thread and have been reading it for a few weeks.
I have joined SW twice in the last 5 years - once when my marriage broke up and then a few years later - when the pounds crept on again! Both times I was very successful but only stayed in class for about 5/6 weeks - then decided to go it alone!
Anyway.. I am now thinking of re-joining a class.. I had a baby 7 weeks ago today - and although I have lost some of the baby weight already - I think I need some motivation!! I tend to lose intrest in things quickly - and after a bad week and missing a class - I tend not to return! I hope to break that cycle this time!
I just wanted to say that this thread is a great source of support - and I look forward to tracking my "success" via this forum!0 -

hi there, and welcome,
im from Co Armagh, tho dont let that put you off
this forum is great, i would have to say that i have got to highly recommend going to...and staying at class....and staying for the image therapy section too.
i never would have hd the success i had (6stone 3lbs off in 11 months) without the class and the support i have got from this forum,
good luck with it, and with the new baby :A0 -

Medmum - That wee thing made me :rotfl:, hope you got over your client thing and didn't binge, well done on your walking!
Ammonite - Congrats on your pregnancy :j
GnB - Enjoy your graduation :T
Right I think I may not have been synning some things correctly, can anyone confirm these couple of things for me
1 - Cottage cheese, I hate the stuff with a passion but its fab for the sw quiche I use, however I cannot get fat free stuff, only low fat or the one I use is Morrisons Eat smart, should I by synning this. I am also going to try the cheese scones using the cottage cheese
2 - Fat Free Dressing - Again I cannot get this, the stuff I have just now is Hellmans balsamic vinegarette which I think is 0.5 syns in a tbsp?
4 - WM pitta bread, I use Mr T or Mr A but book states Co-op, is there a reason for this?
3 - Activia Snackpot Bannoffee - these are 1 syn I believe? I only bought one at lunchtime (not eaten it yet) as Morrisons are doing them for 30p, are they nice, I usually chop a banana in an Aldi Toffee Yoghurt which is fat free & half the price of muller.:money:
Sorry for questions but these may be small things I should be counting but am not  which may be why my loss is slow:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

that sounds yummy Piglet - I can't get pudding rice here - do you think it would work with risotto rice?starfish1975 wrote: »Hi everyone - I would like to intriduce myself... I have come across this thread and have been reading it for a few weeks.
Welcome Starfish and congrats on the new baby. Going it alone is very very difficult so if you can afford to then I would definitely say go to class, stay for the whole class and keep going even when you've lost some weight!Mediterranean Mum
