PS71 - I totally sympathise with you on this. I only lost half a pound last week and stuck to plan 100% - didn't have anywhere near my syns even because I didn't actually want them.
Last time I went to SW (been back about a month) this was so disheartening and I couldn't face staying to group and hearing people lose 3 or 4 lbs who claim to have eaten take-aways and 10 gin and tonics and "I've still lost weight":(
Anyway - half a pound is something you know and you'll probably have me on here Wed night echoing what you say!:rotfl:
Thanks Pennylane. My boys keep telling me "at least its a loss" too, and I do agree it just doesn't seem much for sticking to plan, think I've reached the point where I need to seriously do some exercise, just don't seem able to fit it in. I desparately want to lose another st before we go to Cornwall, but need to average 2lb a week, after tonight not sure its do-able.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -
PS71 - You definitely have my sympathy. It's so disheartening isn't it - that's exactly why I stopped weekly weigh ins but I don't go to group so I could make that decision.
Keep with it PS71 - you're going to have some weeks that you have bigger losses than others but it all averages out over the month.
Are you drinking enough - it really helps so try and get 2 litres inside you every day.
good luckMediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

Chop up an onion and any other veggies that you fancy (fresh or frozen).
Add them to the pan and stir fry for a few mins.
Beat a couple of eggs with seasoning and a splash of water.
Add to the veggies and swirl around until the pan is covered with the egg.
Let it set without touching it.
Meanwhile heat the grill.
Sprinkle over the grated cheese.
Take the pan off the gas and put it under the grill and let the grill set the top of the frittata and toast the cheese.
Slide it out on to a plate.
Eat and enjoy!
Some people (and I think the traditional recipe too) add chopped cooked potato. I've done this if I've made it for an evening meal but can't face the thought of potatoes for breakfast.
Tomorrow's menu will be a GREEN day.
Breakfast = Frittata with 4 eggs, mushrooms, onions, beans and Moz cheese (HEA)
Snack = WW yoghurt
Lunch = 4 Quorn sausages, mushrooms, onions all stuffed into a pitta (HEB)
Snack = WW yoghurt
Dinner = Brown fish and packet of Uncle Ben's rice (2syns)
Snack = 4 Ryvita thins (8syns) and philly (HEA), melon
Does anyone know if the Ryvita thins can be used as a Healthy Extra ?;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
MacPep1 - Really sorry to hear about your cat.
Another 1lb off for me this week.
I really need to start keeping a food diary again, I keep telling myself I've had a really bad week but then in reality I haven't. I always save some of my syns each day and have a treat or 2 on the weekend and then feel really guilty and go round telling everyone I've been really bad this week and I am expecting a gain blah blah. My hubby tells me off because in reality all I have done is use my syns allowance.
I've always been one of these people that feels guilty about food...clearly it didn't stop me eating it else I would never have put on weight but even now I know that I am eating what I am supposed to be eating, I still feel guilty and spend the weekend panicking about WI. I guess I am used to having to starve myself to lose weight and still haven't got my head round eating "normally", especially eating normally and losing each week.
Maybe I need to try and spread the syns out a bit more and that will help. I'm dead chuffed with my losses so far but I still don't feel like I deserved to lose if that makes sense.
Sorry for rambling, just need to get it off my chest. Does anyone else feel like this sometimes?Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0 -

I was just thinking - my cousin has lost about 2.5 stones and she reckons that she only loses small amounts (apart from the first week when she lost 3 lbs). She worked her loss out and it is only around a pound a week. She joined with others who lost much bigger amounts for the first few months but they've all evened out now and have all lost similar amounts.
Perhaps we should bung our ears with cotton wool at group so we don't hear about big weekly losses.:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
