Thanks Piglet - Unfortunately i'm a veteran of SW. i know it works if you can stick to it but i'm afraid i lack the willpower and the pull of sugar and spice, etc is too much:(.. i'm aiming for 3 stone loss in total - it'll be the scenic route though!

Your weight loss is tremmendous (sp?) - big congratulations from me :T do you still go to group?

    thank you so much :o

yes, i still go to group, in fact, i still go every week, i was at target 5 weeks at my last weigh in, tho i changed my target at class last week because i had gone 5lbs below target and had to pay

to be honest, i will prob be going to class for the rest of my days, if i didnt go, and keep things in check, i am sure the weight would creep back on,

maybe in time i would be able to go just once a fortnight, but at the mo, i am still going every week,.

most target members at my group only go once a month, but i could do far too much damage in the month :mad:

Hello to the newbies, and good luck to those WI today.

Another weekend on plan :j We had my DD's summer fete on Saturday, I resisted the candy floss, whippy ice-cream, cakes burges you name it. However I brough mself one treat to enjoy in the evening when my DD's had gone to bed. It was 3 marshmallows on a stick, dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands. :o It was devine!!!! My first taste of chocolate for well over a week and it tasted sooooo good :D

I guestimated it at 8 syns, but as this was all the syns I had on Saturday was very pleased with myself.

I have been dancing my way slim this weekend on he Wii, but will resume Gillian's wrath this evening. I'm going to up it to the more intense workout of 32 minutes  so with warm up and cool down that will be over 45 mins of exercising - wish me luck.

For the person (sorry I can't remember who you were) who craves crisps in evening. Have you tried the ryvita minis? They come in salt and vinegar and sour cream and chive flavour and they count as a HEB (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I use these as my crisp fix, and they are really nice.

Havent been on for a while (got loads of posts to read back and catch up on)..I got my 1stone award last Tuesday, was a great boost,so next day i decided to treat myself to some nice canvas/jean type trousers from New Look...but no happy cos i had to take the size 14,and they were kinda tight!!! (im 5ft 7,and 10st10),and it looks like im still a 14....Ggrr,...i was hoping only to need to lose another couple of pounds to get to target, but since my target is a size 12,rather than an actual weight,it looks like i might have to lose a bit more yet.

Doesnt it just go to show you how dif we all are...

i am 5ft 6, and 11.13, and i am into a size 12 now...in fact...the size 12 trousers i bought 2 months ago to slim into, are now hanging on me at the !!!!!...:o and baggy at the legs...

mind you i am delighted to be able to buy size 12s from Primark now..:money:

i have gone from paying the same money for one top / item of clothing... to being able to buy a bag of things from primark / peacocks for the same price :D

Found this amongst my emails and thought I would share for those of you who haven't seen it...

    Hello!
    Do you know me?
    If you don't, you should.
I am ONE POUND OF FAT, and I am the happiest pound of FAT that you would ever want to meet!
    Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me!
After all, I am only ONE POUND OF FAT.
    Just ONE POUND.
Everyone wants to lose 3 or 5 or 15 pounds, but never ONLY one.
So, I just stick around and happily keep you.
Then I am free to add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice...
That is, until I have grown to 10, 20 or even 30 pounds in weight... YES...
it is fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT...
left to do just as I please.
So, when you weigh in, go ahead...
just keep on saying, "Oh I only lost one pound." (As if that is so terrible.)
For you see, if you do this, you will encourage others to hang around me because they will think that I am not worth losing.
And I LOVE being around you...
your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips, and every other part of you. HAPPY DAYS!
After all, I am ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Dear Caroline - I love this and read all your other post very carefully. IMO you should just not have any bad stuff in your house. If it's not there you won't be tempted. Also DO NO weigh yourself at home, just leave it to SW because if you weigh yourself and you think you've lost you will ensure some little treats go into your mouth - it's human nature whereas if you weigh and you've not lost then you think "what's the point?" and have a pig out.

I am a very slow loser but they do say we all get there in the end. I have also cut some thing out completely - bread, cakes, biscuits, crisps, butter/marg (no bread so none of this) and nothing like this has passed my lips for almost a month.:) I know I can have them and "syn" them but I'd rather not at this stage.

There are people all over the world who are restricting what they eat for various reasons - sports people/dancers, diabetics, people with allergies/food intolerances, people with certain religious beliefs who cannot have particular foods and so on. I am telling myself that I am restricting myself for health reasons and it seems to be working.

If you are determined to do this for your baby then you'll do it. Keep posting!:)

Welcome Caroline, you've come to the right place.

Good advice from MED MUM and PENNY. Go for smaller goals, don't jump on and off the scales (oh how I wish I could take my own advice!!!!) PENNY is absolutely right, if you've lost you will 'reward' yourself and if you've gained a bit you'll 'comfort' yourself. Take it from someone who knows. It's a hard habit to break but if you don't start you wont have the problem.

Stick with us, we're a good supportive bunch. x

    Morning all,

    Welcome Caroline

MedMum- well done on your walk and glad to hear you're feeling better :)

Quiet weekend here and been on plan all week so hoping for a loss tonight - need 3lb to get my 10% and 4lb to get my 2 stone but doubt I've lost that much. I must admit I do weigh myself at home but it is only once a week, on a Monday morning. It sounds a bit ridiculous but I like to know what to expect at class and not get too much of a surprise! It doesn't always work, i.e. the difference from the previous week is rarely the same on my scales as on SW's, but it gives an indication. Shouldn't really do it but makes me feel a little less nervous for WI, which I always am even if I've been an angel!

    Green today:
B: Bran flakes (HEB), milk (HEA), banana
L: L/O soya mince lasagne, bistro salad, dressing (0.5)
T: Post WI - probably pasta again with pesto (2.5), cheese (HEA), bread roll (HEB)
S: Chocolate (uncounted but still have some syns left)

    Have a great week everyone!

    Morning All

Well as predicted my wee cheety cat went to heaven on Friday, :( I will miss her terribly. :(:( We were away all weekend which I am glad of as it would have been harder being in the house. I did not follow plan at all at the weekend – was nigh impossible but at the same time I never stuffed my face, so am hoping my gain won’t be too much on Wednesday. :o For what its worth, I am back on plan today. Will be doing my shred, level 2 all week, I sailed through level 1 so going to push myself my OH has decided as of today to cut out all the junk he eats to get rid of his belly before our holidays!!!

Medmum – Well done on your walk, that’s fantastic you are keeping it up!!

Welcome to all the newbies, this is a fantastic thread & you will get loads of support

    Todays’ EE Plan

B – Kiwi, frozen berries, FF Nat yoghurt
L – WM Pitta (HEB) with salad, egg, chicken then melon & Apple
D – Bolognese pasta bake (HEA) with broccoli & cauliflower
    S – Banana & Muller

  • Och Macpep sorry to read that. We also have 4 cats and one of ours has been missing for the last couple of days. Had to tell my youngest son yesterday that I'd seen her in the morning cos he had an exam in the afternoon and I knew if he thought she was still missing he'd be worried sick. Told him afterwards and I know I was right to tell a little white lie!

thanks for all the good vibes everyone - it's still going well over here and managing to keep away from anything not on plan - there's nothing much here to eat anyway at the moment!

making myself new mini targets of 5lb a month - very doable. I'm only weighing once a month (on the 1st) which means I'll hopefully not be stressing out constantly. I haven't been on the scales at all since June 1st so no idea what damage I've done over the last couple of weeks while I was really struggling but hopefully this week will help make up for it.

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
