Sorry to hear that Macpep, I'm a catlover with 2 little monsters right now and i'd be gutted if anything happened to either of them.

Had a not too bad weekend, too many syns but not as bad as my usual weekends!
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

  • Sorry to hear about your cat, macpep1 I am sure it is for the best, animals can't comumicate their pain as we can. I hope you are feeling better soon though. Hello Caroline, hope you can find a comfy spot.

Sorry I haven't been around guys. Fans and the proverbial dirt that refuses to be cleaned off- so to speak. Youngest has finally cleared the chest infection only to begin teething again. :wall: She has been soooo clingy over the past 5 days, part of it being teething part of it other milestone issues that they must get through. 'This to shall pass' though I chant it regularly at the minute, it is I have to confess through gritted teeth.
As a result of being completely and utterly shattered, whined down to a fine point there has been little if any will power in me to attempt anything else. At group last week I lost 1.5lb - happy with that as it was * week too. Mentioned that I was losing my mojo. Week on Week of battling mountains gets depressing. Everyone was really supportive as we all have our down weeks. Mine has been a full on down month capped off with a full on binge of stuff I wouldn't normally dream of.
Even fitting into a size 16 tunic and leggings that I have not fitted in 4 years (yes I kept it) didn't lift my slump. Just felt like mutton dressed as lamb. :( Not planning meals, not having time to think... and the housework going in the wrong direction. I was burying myself.
After taking the eldest daughter for a xray because we thought she'd broken her wrist. Fortunately it was just sprained. I managed to get some wiifit in.
Just that 40 minutes of exercise and I feel amazing. Sat enjoying a tuna salad for lunch, planned a tea. Even though I walk at least 5 miles a day sometimes 10, I aparently need the uplift of the endorphins. :D
SO *touching wood* I am back on the wagon. Aiming for 4lb off this week. I have 2 days to pull myself right.

Sorry for waffling on, needed to get that out!

    Afternoon everyone...
Caroline78 - welcome doll. We're all in the same boat here. Some are further along in their journey and others are just starting out but we all empathise with you. x
Medmum - so pleased that you're feeling better today.x
Macpep - sorry to hear about your cat.x
doelani - wow, you go girl, well done. x
shellyhollie - sorry your having such a rough time of it with the bairns, my DS (nearly 2) is a nightmare and seems to pick up every bug going at nursery, I just hope it makes him immune to everything by the time he gets to school!x

Well girls, WI for me today .... 4lb off and SOTW, get in there!! :D
Really pleased, it even makes Jillian evil Michaels worth it. I had a target of 3 1/2 st off for my holidays on 9th July and only have another 2lb to go to hit that. I went into M&S to look for some holiday clothes on the way back from class, decided to risk trying on size 18s and they all fasten with ease, in fact they are bordering on too big but the 16 is too tight and I want a little bit of expansion room for my all incl holiday so went with the 18s

Dear Caroline - I love this and read all your other post very carefully. IMO you should just not have any bad stuff in your house. If it's not there you won't be tempted. Also DO NO weigh yourself at home, just leave it to SW because if you weigh yourself and you think you've lost you will ensure some little treats go into your mouth - it's human nature whereas if you weigh and you've not lost then you think "what's the point?" and have a pig out.

I am a very slow loser but they do say we all get there in the end. I have also cut some thing out completely - bread, cakes, biscuits, crisps, butter/marg (no bread so none of this) and nothing like this has passed my lips for almost a month.:) I know I can have them and "syn" them but I'd rather not at this stage.

There are people all over the world who are restricting what they eat for various reasons - sports people/dancers, diabetics, people with allergies/food intolerances, people with certain religious beliefs who cannot have particular foods and so on. I am telling myself that I am restricting myself for health reasons and it seems to be working.

If you are determined to do this for your baby then you'll do it. Keep posting!:)

Thank you to everyone for the welcome. I am just popping to Mr T for a fruit shop, and having read up to page 28 last night I seen someone had a great meal with smash potatoes, topped with cheese and baked beans so am going to get some Smash...is this free or syns ?

Also I seen a few people advising me not to get weighed until my meeting. This is quite easy for me to do at the minute as my home scales only go up to 20 stone so I can't use them...:o

Will be back later to see all the great Monday losses:D
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)
