Re my post # 3857 - does anybody have an answer please?
  • Hello,

Can I ask a question about books please? This is the first time I am doing EE, and I wondered what your thoughts are on using old books? At the moment I have the little Extra Easy booklet, an up to date list of the free/ superfree foods, and a 2007 "Shop to Slim at Tesco" book. Do you think I would be better off buying some new books? I thought the following looked worthwhile:

    100 Extra Easy Days
    Free Branded Foods
    Low Syn Snacks
    Food Directory

Also, a friend goes to group and has offered to buy the books for me - will she be allowed to if she has already bought them herself? I don't want to get her into trouble!

    Thanks in advance. ;)
  • Despite the fact that I walked like an old woman this morning, I did walk for 30 minutes. I've had a very good day food wise too -

B - scramble with LO rice and veggies and eggs, banana
L - scramble with LO rice and veggies and chicken, cherries
D - vegetable soup, chicken risotto, large salad with mustard dressing

As you can see I had a ton of rice left over from the weekend so used it in all meals today but I did have small portions at each meal.

I haven't had my HEA or HEB so have to try and fit them in this evening, or not. It won't do me any hard to have a light day today.

TBH I haven't bought any of the books and I go to class every week lol. Your friend wont get into trouble for buying books for you - if she was buying dozens at a time to ebay that might be different but I'm sure she'll be fine getting an extra 1.

Fab, thank you, think I'll continue as I am for now - focus on losing poundage rather than spending it!

I did pay to join the website, and am now trying to get my money back. They say you can't have a refund once you complete your profile, but you can't try any of the tools until you do? If they won't play ball I'll just do a chargeback under the Distance Selling Regs. ;)

Had a bit of a bad week, lost my mojo it seems. Gained 1lb AGAIN but still went on to have a huge chinese the same night. Tried to be good for the weekend but todays my 1st Fathers Day without my Dad and I'm struggling :( desperate for some chocolate but luckily theres none in the house. I do feel that if hubby offers to go get some I will cave in :o.
I did walk about 6 miles yesterday with my son whos stride is twice mine so had to walk quicker to keep up. Speaking of son, am so pleased that he finally got all his assignments done and has passed his BTEC. Don't know what he's going to do with it though but at least hes stress free for the moment.
MedMum I'm walking like an old woman today too, my hips & knees are killing me AND I walk everyday too. Wish I could soak in the bath but we only have a shower :(.
Sorry for waffling, keep the faith all.

Also sending healing thoughts to Dizzy and hope she can join us here again soon :A:A:A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • TIE do you take any meds for your pain? I've been popping the anti-inflammatories but my stomach is complaining a bit today.

I want to walk again in the morning but the only way I think I'll be able to do that is if I take a pill this evening otherwise I'm going to be in a lot of pain again tomorrow.

Also the humidity has really set in here and that doesn't help. Temperature was 36 C today and humidity of about 80% - disgusting!
