K&F - what a result - well done you. Reckon with another couple of weeks of the b***h you could hit the 4 stone mark before your hols!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
6lb off today, so pleased :j off to buy myself a new pair of jeans now to celebrate lol
They are some BIG losses doelani - well done!
Can I just ask (don't answer if you don't want to though) did you eat badly before and do you have loads to lose? Although I'm fat I do believe we ate a fairly healthy diet - we don't eat junk food or convenience foods and I always cook from scratch. What I'm trying to get at is there is only so much you can cut out or down on if you don't eat too badly in the first place.
For example I have had skimmed milk for donkeys years, don't take sugar, never eat sweets and chocolates, limit my bread intake etc. I haven't eaten pastry for years either. I think my downfall was cheese and crackers, bread, homemade food with rich sauces and "luxury" yoghourts.0 -

Also I seen a few people advising me not to get weighed until my meeting. This is quite easy for me to do at the minute as my home scales only go up to 20 stone so I can't use them...:o
Will be back later to see all the great Monday losses:D
Caroline - I think real potatoes are a lot better for you than Smash. I didn't even know they still made that. Potatoes are free - it's the butter/milk etc you add;) and they are much cheaper than Smash. You being an Irish girl too!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I found this recipe today which I'm going to try at the weekend. I've already played around with the ingredients a bit to add more veggies and thought I would share it -
Grilled Vegetable Rice Salad
Ingredients
4 cups cooked rice
1 large courgette
1 large aubergine
1 large red pepper
1 large yellow pepper
1 large onion
Oil, salt and pepper, to taste
Frylight
1 Tbsp mustard
1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 Tbsp vinegar (I used white)
1/2 tsp salt, to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper, to taste
Directions
Slice the courgette and aubergine, cut the peppers and onion into quarters, toss with salt and pepper, spray with Frylight and grill until nicely browned. Allow vegetables to cool slightly, then cut into large chunks.
Combine oil, honey, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper together. In a medium bowl, toss together the rice, vegetables and dressing. Serve warm or room temperature.
Enjoy!Mediterranean Mum

Sorry not read posts for the last couple of days.
Just been to WI and only lost 1/2 lb so not very happy. Don't understand how come some weeks when I stick to it I hardly lose anything. Couldn't face staying to group and feel really disappointed, there's only so mmany times you can stay and say you don't know what you did wrong. I wouldn't mind if I'd been out and eaten bad or pigged out. Sorry feel really down tonight.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -

PS71 - I totally sympathise with you on this. I only lost half a pound last week and stuck to plan 100% - didn't have anywhere near my syns even because I didn't actually want them.
Last time I went to SW (been back about a month) this was so disheartening and I couldn't face staying to group and hearing people lose 3 or 4 lbs who claim to have eaten take-aways and 10 gin and tonics and "I've still lost weight":(
Anyway - half a pound is something you know and you'll probably have me on here Wed night echoing what you say!:rotfl:0 -

I love Smash with loads of salt.....yummy
Really looking forward to my dinner tonight.
Haven't had a bite all day as I slept late and then had to get shopping in.
But am going to have a full packet of Smash, a full tin of beans and maybe 5 or 6 Quorn sausages, followed by a full melon....and then I won't move the rest of the night...lol
I bought wholemeal pitta today so looking forward to that for my lunch tomorrow, and also bought a pineapple (have bought these before and ended up throwing them out).
I struggle to drink 2lts a day and also don't like drinking plain water so have bought two 1lt bottles of evian and will keep them filled with no added sugar squash...knowing that I have to drink both of them each day should help with getting my liquids down.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
well, tea was Shepherds Pie (Homemade mash topping 1syn for the Emlea Cream and 2 for the butter, salt for some taste divided by 3 of us 1 syn each) with veg. Snacks for the night: [STRIKE]cardboard[/STRIKE]:D scan bran and cottage cheese with a mullerlight (on special at Heron Frozen Foods )
Tomorrow it's steak-bake day. Whats left of the meat from the pie stuffed inside wholemeal pittas. SYN FREE yumminess. Will have that with a salad me thinks. Lunch is a veg/chicken stock soup currently bubbling away in the slow cooker. Smells devine.
bit stuck for breaky though. No fruit in, nor any eggs either. May have dig through and see what I find !
Shattered though - only 2 hours sleep last night, so night night ladies. Keep up the good work.0
