Isn't she just!
It gets easier. Having said that I haven't done it for over 2 weeks due to hurting my knee doing the shred. I was planning on getting back to it this week but so far it's not happening. I'm hoping my loss tonight will spur me on tomorrow morning, once I get into it, I love it. She is a great motivator!
Talking about Jillian Michaels, I've been watching The Biggest Loser, and those guys are truly amazing but how sustainable is that kind of weight loss, surely they cannot maintain that, they do 6 hours of exercise a day!!! Surely, when they stop doing the exercise it will all pile back on. I read that many of the contestants of the show end up having to have surgery to remove the loose skin because of the dramatic weight loss in such a short space of time. They do look great though and they have achieved something seriously amazing!0 -

Sorry to hear a few posters have had some bad news, hugs to you all.
I'm struggling today, it was all going so well but got home from work absolutely starving after not eating much all day and ended up ordering Dominos. I had a 7inch veggie pizza with the half fat cheese so hopefully not too bad. I think the half tub of Ben and Jerrys afterwards probably hasn't helped either. It was so not worth it, I have no idea what the syns were and now I feel rubbish (white bread ie pizza base does not agree with me)
Why did I do it?
Another one here having a bad tim eof it - you are not alone....
DD2 is doing A levels, but she has post-viral fatigue ( she hasn't really recovered from the tummy bug in Feb) and she hasn't revised enough. Life is stressful.....( I have an older daughter with ME/CFS - you can probably guess what I'm thinking...)
And we have posh ice cream in the freezer - and I have sinned...or should that be synned......
Anyway back on the wagon today - EE today, as always....
B - porridge, milk, banana, mixed berries
L - Prob tuna salad + ryvita (syns - will check)
D- smoked haddock, baked pot, veg.
Catch you later folks...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
CY sorry to hear about your DDs. There are some very good natural remedies that help with exactly this and if you're interested to know more than PM me.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I've been doing a lot of soul-searching over the last 24 hours. I realise how I've totally abused my body - not even over the last almost 50 years but over the last 3 months in general. When I started SW I was on plan and doing well albeit extremely slowly. My blood results were amazing and for the first time in a long time my sugar level (I'm type II diabetic) was at a "normal" level.
Then I did what I've done so many times in the past - I put the brakes on and thought I don't need to do any more. How effing stupid. I mean I have in excess of 7 stone to lose but for some inane reason I can't seem to get past a one stone lost. As soon as people start noticing and start commenting it's like an excuse to stop and do nothing further. I wish I knew why and how I could get over the hurdle.
Right now I'm totally sluggish, my legs ache, my ankles are swelling terribly and I feel a general lethargy all of the time.
This week I've walked four times which is great and I really hope I can keep going next week but it's really really hot here now and the humidity is already high and it's only June!
I went shopping this morning and bought a load of vegetables, some fruit (I'm trying not to overdo the fruit) and lots of passata, tomato puree and chopped tomatoes to make tomato ragu. I have chicken and fish in the freezer and also vegetarian mince mix. I have eggs, tuna (in water), pasta, rice and potatoes. In theory I have everything I need to do it right. I just need to put it all into practice.
I have a plan for today and usually I'm fine on a Friday - I just need to be able to follow through next week.
I'm sorry to bore you all with this but I had to get it down on paper and try and convince myself what damage I'm doing. I know I'm a walking time bomb and if I don't do something now I'm going to be in a really bad place before too long. My goal was to lose 100lb before my 50th (February 2014) but at this rate I'll be lucky if I'm still alive then.Mediterranean Mum

Morning!
Sending hugs to all those that need it at - I really feel for those that are having a hard time at the moment.
WI last night and I lost 3lbs. Was hoping for a bigger loss as I have been on plan all week and managed 3.5 hours of exercise. However, I'm still in the zone and am hoping for anothe 3lbs next week to get me back into the 12stone band again.
I have some lovely meals planned again for this week, and plenty of fruit and veg to keep me going. I've started eating pickled onions again and forgot how much I love them, so whenever I'm feeling the need I'll have couple of those with some ham to keep me picking at the naughty stuff. Just over 2 weeks ago I would have scoffed crisps and chocolate bars but can faithfully say I havent had either all week and I am not missing them.
I had a rest from exercise last night and I'm another one that gave in and ordered dominoes in, I had one slice of ham and pineapple with loads of salad and some coleslaw, usually I would have finished off the whole pizza, plus I have over half a pizza left  I'm sorry to say but this may be going in the bin as I really don't fancy it!
Looking forward to my date with Gillian tonight on the Wii, am thinking of upping it to the medium workout as the beginer is just that and I feel I can do more.
I hope everyone enjoys their day xx0 -

Bearing my soul and writing my confession on here just over a week ago really helped me, I think being honest with yourself is the key here. I was in denial and using food to make me happy.
If it helps to write it all down just go for it! I'm sorry you are having a rough time, it is so hard to get back into it especially as you say if you have already lost weight. Cliche but it is a journey and sometimes it doesn't happen all in one go, we need to start new chapters and go back to basics.
February 2014 is a long way off, so your goal is completely managable. You can do it! And we are all here to support you along the way.0 -
Thanks Piglet, did let her know about the 2 weeks, so i'm now paid up until 16th Sept and a free Desserts book to boot! I'm aiming for a stone loss by then..
For my first week weigh in I lost 3 lbs.. little bit disappointed if i'm honest, but it's a good loss so i'll take it.. unfortunately not there next week as we're away in Brighton, so it'll be two weeks until official weigh in happens again.
Take care everyone xx
brill!!! well done!!!!
i know what you mean tho,....on my first week, i lost 3.5lbs...or only 3.5lbs as i said at the time...
but i stuck with it, and the 2nd week..i lost 4.5lbs...so i was delighted.
i stuck with it still and in ten months i had got to target:j
i kept going and in 11 months i have lost 6stone 2lbs and had to adjust my target:j
so keep going, how much do you want to loose?
trust the plan, it works, even tho its hard to know how or why (ALL THAT FREE FOOD!!:j)
Drink plenty of water or NAS Juice
do plenty of body magic
use your syns, i didnt the first week....but have done every week since!
good luck :A0 -
