Weighed in last night after two weeks/weigh ins away from class and put on half a pound. I'm pleased with that since I have been away on a short break to the Lake District, had my OH's birthday with huge chocolate cake , a couple of meals out and general jubilee/bank holiday madness. I.e. out of routine, lots of social stuff - catching up with friends/family etc.

BUT feeling positive... I think ? and hoping to get back on the wagon. Going to take each day as it comes and hope for the best.

Anyhow.... have a question for you all. Whilst visiting sainsbugs last week, I bought two pairs of the same trousers and a suit jacket to match. All half price. So £30.50 for everything. The suit jacket fits but will fit even better when I have shifted a few pounds and can do the button up comfortably. The trousers fit (now) but I've bought the size that fits me at the moment and this isn't the size I intend to stay. So there is a good chance they won't fit me in 2-3 months which is fine but I will then have a suit jacket with no matching trousers!

As I mentioned, I bought two pairs (didn't occur to me to buy the next size down as well but as they were sale items, I don't remember seeing the next size down?). Anyhow, I'm waffling .... (sorry). The point is, one of the trousers has turned out to be faulty but I think would be easily repairable i.e. simply sewing up where the stitching has come away. My :money: hat is telling me that I should return them since (1) they are faulty (2) they are unlikely to fit me sometime soon but at the same time £9 is not bad for a pair of work trousers and they are comfy albeit a bit more wide legged than I would like so I can't make up my mind what to do and thought I would invite opinion....

I would keep the pair that are not faulty then take the faulty pair back and try to get them in a size smaller if possible. x

thank you for all the hugs. she's still in hospital atm, no idea when she's coming out. when she did this the other week they didn't seem too fussed, just said all they can do is speed up a counselling referral she had going through. we think that they just didn't know how to deal with her. she's been sent to a big regional one now rather than just the local one.

my SW plan has gone completely to pot atm, I've been trying but with work being so far away I'm on a train for 6.30am and i don't walk back in til 7.30pm by which time i'm completely ravenous. I'm leaving this place tomorrow and starting a job much closer to home. i'm looking forward to being able to actually sit down and have a breakfast in the morning!

when you buy it make sure to tell consultant that you are away next week and you need to book it as a holiday, if you dont book holidays in advance when you are buying a countdown then you loose the week

    good luck with weigh in;)

Thanks Piglet, did let her know about the 2 weeks, so i'm now paid up until 16th Sept and a free Desserts book to boot! I'm aiming for a stone loss by then..

For my first week weigh in I lost 3 lbs.. little bit disappointed if i'm honest, but it's a good loss so i'll take it.. unfortunately not there next week as we're away in Brighton, so it'll be two weeks until official weigh in happens again.

    Take care everyone xx

Sorry to hear a few posters have had some bad news, hugs to you all.

I'm struggling today, it was all going so well but got home from work absolutely starving after not eating much all day and ended up ordering Dominos. I had a 7inch veggie pizza with the half fat cheese so hopefully not too bad. I think the half tub of Ben and Jerrys afterwards probably hasn't helped either. It was so not worth it, I have no idea what the syns were and now I feel rubbish (white bread ie pizza base does not agree with me) :o
    Why did I do it?

WI for me tonight and I lost 1lb :j I am over the moon with that considering I was away for a few days and I wasn't very good over the weekend.

I've realised that I just have to be patient with SW, it's going to be a long slow process but it's going in the right direction and that's what matters. I want instant results and it just aint gonna happen, also if I lose it slowly like this, then more chance of keeping off, that's what I'm being told anyway, let's hope it works that way!
