im at target :j my fiver for every week i am at target goes into a money box for my holiday fund!
tho, i think one way or the other, i will be paying this week...i am 5lbs BELOW target, so i have to either loose another 2lbs and re-adjust my target (you need 7lbs between each target i think?) or put ON 2lbs, which i hate the thoughts of doing!
so, im guessing, i might be paying until i loose another 2lbs!
yeah, i had to pay!
i only managed to PUT ON a half pound...
i am going to try and loose 2lbs now as she reset my target.0 -
Morning ladies,I am thinking of composing an email to SW regarding their website. I just think it could be so much better and provide so much more support to it's members and it can't be that difficult/expensive to provide it, can it?Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »In some respects I agree with you Shala-moo but if the site had a forum for members only that would exclude so many people which is a shame. I have thought a lot about SW and why its website is so !!!!!!. If I was running it the first thing would be a forum. And it would be open to all, not just members. That's what will drive traffic to your site - people can ask questions, they'll hang around on the site an then maybe they'll join, after finding lots of support etc. I can only think that some old dinosaur is in charge who doesn't really understand new media and is missing a trick. Obviously SW want to make money, so there could be an incentive to join that will get you extra access to other parts of the forum, for example (perhaps with all the syns, hex's etc clearly laid out), or with access to an online consultant (imagine! I mean, I paid nearly the same as anyuone going to group, but I got no support at all from them. It's crap. Plus the books etc that you can download don't include red and green plans - don't even mention it).
It's ridiculous that a forum on a moneysaving site has to become the place where SW people go. If there was a dedicated forum on SW there would be so many more slimmers, experiences, help etc. It would just be nice to have a proper place (not dissing this thread at all, it's fab!). Just think SW should put money where mouth is.

I lost 3lbs this week so I got my 1 stone sticker :j .
My consultant is really nice, she doesn't text or call which I actually prefer but she is so down to earth and encouraging, I really enjoy the weekly meetings.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

Well done. I like my consultant too - she is someone that I would choose to be a friend and I reckon we could have a brilliant night out - I might suggest it if I get another 3 st off and get to targetMortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Med mum, sorry can't quote on our computers at work - I wasn't necessarily thinking of them providing a forum, i think Minimims has that pretty much covered.I think they fall down on their online food diaries and certainly they could make finding syns easier - on Myfitnesspal you can actually scan a barcode in to give you nutritional info and that website is free to use!It just needs an update really to make it more user friendly.I cant find a "contact us" email address though
(
Completely agree re. barcode scanner- I loved that on MFP, and could never understand why SW or WW didn't use it, makes it so much easier to find the syns. I do like the app though, and having the syns online on it is handy when shopping - just a shame that most supermarkets seem to be a phone signal blackspot!

Hi all
Thanks for your thoughts. Have decided that I'm going to spend today trying to 'fix' my work rota around having the same day off for at least 9 wks out of twelve. I'm sure ~I could swap duties , as it doesn't matter which day of I have. Then - on my day off, I'm going to join a class. No going to bother with the web site as you ladies are all sayingt he same thing. You can't all be wroing!!
So putting my cash towards a 12wk countdown, hopefullt I can 'fix' it that I can attend at least 9 classes out of 12.
Thanks guys!

Right then, done it - start at a group tomoro evening. Spoken with the person running the group about my shifts - if I tell them in advance I'm working, then I won't have to pay. Also, this consultant runs other groups so I can always go and get WI at one of those if I can't make it to my 'regular' group. For me this will be a much better way, meaning that most weeks I will be able to WI.
Planning to order a countdown, give myself a bit more motivation/ incentive. Have also registered with minimins, seems to be lots of advice on there.
This thread is so long...... but I'm going to start at the beginning and read a little of the 'backlog' each day - see what tips I can pick up.
Any recomendations for 'first week shopping' lists???
Thanks for all your comments so far.
