I agree with medmum. The SW website is confused, badly laid out, clumsy and pretty useless if you already know the basics. Recipe ideas can be found here or minimins, and the website is so crap it doesn't even have a forum, which is surely what most people would want from it. I let my membership lapse after a month.

Morning ladies,I am thinking of composing an email to SW regarding their website. I just think it could be so much better and provide so much more support to it's members and it can't be that difficult/expensive to provide it, can it?

  • In some respects I agree with you Shala-moo but if the site had a forum for members only that would exclude so many people which is a shame. There are many of us who haven't joined for whatever reason and that's why this forum is so much nicer because it doesn't exclude anyone.

Vicki, resting for a week is great but you have to ease yourself back into it gently otherwise you're obviously going to end up back where you started. You were sick and dizzy before because your body was sending you a message - it's doing the same thing again.

Take it easy honey and stop punishing yourself.

Vicki~I agree with Med Mum,you really need to listen to your body.

Exercise by all means but please stop half killing yourself.

Well done to everyone who has lost :T

i know you are all talking complete sense but i don't understand how all of a sudden my body has decided enough is enough i took a peak on some scales this morning and i haven't gained any weight but i feel like i have maybe my weight loss is my brain cells! :rotfl:
think i'm going to go back to basics on exercise front and just do the shred and not try BFBM or the other dvds in the box set for a while and see if my body decides to become my friend!
on another note i forgot to tell consultant that i wouldn't be going last week and i haven't received a text or anything and TBH the group seemed a bit clicky like someone else mentioned it seemed all like a social and over 50% of them gained week on week and it all seemed a bit of a laugh and a joke so she doesn't seem bothered that I haven't been oh well £5 better in my pocket than hers! I agree about the website the WW was much more user friendly but consultant obviously hasn't put that I haven't been because i can still log on to it but i get much more info on here anyway

  • Hi Vicki - maybe what you're feeling is the bulking of your muscles with all the exercise - remember muscle weighs more than fat.

The only thing I can suggest is that you drink plenty of water to help clear your system of the bug you had - you could also be slightly dehydrated.

    take care of yourself

    Morning all,

Vicki- I agree with the others, you need to listen to your body. Taking that week off won't have done you any harm but a bug takes a lot out of you- I'm sure when you're completely over that you will be fine with exercise again.

Scrappie - Welcome :) I like going to a class because of the accountability but if you will struggle to attend and you have the plan there can't see any harm in trying it yourself for a couple of weeks to see how you get on. I also used the last bits of naughtiness in the fridge during the first week as syns, as well as taking some stuff into work and feeding some to OH!

I lost 1lb last night, which I am pleased with- think it was justified given the really good start to the week and the few minor indiscretions over the weekend! I need to lose another 3lb to get my Club 10 so would be great to get that next week :)

    Today's menu: EE
B: All Bran (HEB), milk (HEA), banana
L: Chickpea salad (2 syns for 1 tsp olive oil)
T: Southern fried-style chicken, jacket spud (2 for butter), carrots and broccoli
S: Pineapple, WW yog, Freddo (5)

    Have a good day all!

Med mum, sorry can't quote on our computers at work - I wasn't necessarily thinking of them providing a forum, i think Minimims has that pretty much covered.I think they fall down on their online food diaries and certainly they could make finding syns easier - on Myfitnesspal you can actually scan a barcode in to give you nutritional info and that website is free to use!It just needs an update really to make it more user friendly.I cant find a "contact us" email address though :o(

  • For the short time that I was a member and used the website I found it just not worth anything.

Have to admit I've never used Minimims as I get all the back up and information I need here. And I spend so much time here already - can't imagine what I'd be like if I were on another forum too!!! I'd never get any work done!!
