Hi everyone Im a newbie to this thread but have been reading through it - so far Ive got to page 100! I lost weight with SW about 12 years ago and loved the ease of doing Red or Green Days. Ive just joined online as I can't make the classes near me but like other posters have said I dont find it a user friendly website at all.
I can't get my head round Extra Easy and like having more of the Healthy Extras so I have stuck to Red or Green days.
I had a good 6lb loss the first week but put on 2lb the second week (I did have a couple of social events and wasn't very good at moderating my alcohol intake) stayed the same last week but I think I need to be a lot stricter on my syns.
I don't have much to lose - probably about a stone and a half but I do have very high cholesterol and my excess is all round my middle - which my doc said is the most unhealthy place to carry weight - so Im really hoping that SW will help me lose my spare tyre and reduce my cholesterol.
How do you all keep track of what exactly you are eating syn wise? I find the online diary very time consuming and annoying to fill in - I have got the Food Directory from ebay. I would just like to know how you all keep a grip on your syns!
I assume as I don't have much to lose I should be keeping my Syns low but Im not sure how many I should have a day - 5 or more?
Anyway thank you all for posting on this thread - lots of good meal plan and recipe tips on here

Hi Bacardi66.. welcome..I have a real weakness for H*ribo sweets. Found a jelly sweets recipe on-line. Anyone ever tried these?
tried these last week at "taster" evening.. they taste like jelly and are the consistency of jelly. I was a bit disappointedhowever the lady that made them only used 2 extra gelatine sheets.. no idea if it's the same recipe or whether adding more would make them firmer.
Green day for me today
B - apple, weetabix (2), yogurt
L - jacket potato, cheese (Hea)
T - Butternut squash pasta (really bland so added cheese sauce and bacon) (Heb and 2 syns)

L - huge salad, chicken, plain couscous, 2 tsp l/f dressing, apple
Snack - melon, pineapple, mango, Activia Snackpot
D - lamb steaks, s/corn, asparagus, SW potato wedges
Filter coffee with splash semi skim milk
Snack - Mullerlight

I'm pleased cos I know I couldn't have done it on my own.
But I do get discouraged sometimes, as I seem to be so on and off, with no way of predicting whether I'm going to lose or not
I've got a long way to go, and it feels as if I'll never get there!
WI tonight, and a put on a pound, which is probably why I'm being so moany. Hoping that I'll get lots of motivation here!Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

Welcome Mymamma. I started SW in December last year and if I can get to December this year and say that I've lost 2 stones I think I'll be very happy. I've been up and down and on and off since I started so know exactly where you're coming from. I do think though that my friends on this forum keep me somewhere on the right path - if I wasn't checking in here every day goodness knows what weight I'd be now!Mediterranean Mum

It's 6.15am and I've just got back from a 35 minute walk. Really pleased with how this week is going on the body magic front. On Sunday I could barely put one foot in front of the other and I had such pain in my lower back that I couldn't stand straight but I kept going for 20 mins. On Monday I was able to do 25 mins but it was still a struggle.
Tuesday, according to my plan for the week, was a day off and today I went out and didn't feel a twinge and was able to increase by 10 mins. I'm not really looking to increase much more this week, maybe another 5 mins by Friday but really pleased with how it's going and hopefully I can get the food back on plan too!Mediterranean Mum

Slightly off topic....Leek is the nearest town to me, don't hear many people saying they're visiting for a business trip, lol! If its your first visit hope you don't judge us on the state of the town, we have protesters at the moment camped out on the roundabout they're removing, its chaos.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -
