i count my syns every day rather than weekly - i dont know if my chocolate head would be disciplined enough to go weekly syns.

dearest father has decided he wants spag bol for dinner, but reckons that he hates mince from a supermarket because it looks 'wormy' rather than the butcher stuff (even though its the same just through a different mincer...) and apparently dolmio is WAY nicer than the syn free passata made one, even though it has the same ingredients lol!

i tend to find that ill use my syns on chocolate (curlywurlys) or on dippy things... like i loooove hummus but i also love savoury dips like ham and cheese (bad i know, but if i use my healthys to make it its not so bad - extra light phili cheese, a tablespoon of extra light mayo, lean ham diced up, and a little bit of grated cheese plus some milk) i can dip my veggies into it and it means its about 5ish syns for the bowl :)
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

Hello, I have asked before but I just wondered whether Dizzy still comes on here? Could one of the 'old crowd' (I mean that in a really nice way) please reply. I miss her cheery banter.

Hope you've all had a good day. xx
  • This was given to me by a friend makes for a lush lunch or full on dinner. SYN FREE!
    Steak :

    60g Pitta, wholemeal (Heb)
1 tin of stewed steak (Tescos & M&S are syn free anyone elses add syns)
    Egg.

Pre-heat your oven to 180. Heat the stewing steak in a pan, while using toaster to warm the pitta (only for 30 seconds or so.) Slice the top of the pitta and fill with steak careful not to over fill it or it won't seal.
Seal with egg, and coat pitta with egg for a lovely glossy browning cook for 10/15 minutes.

Serve with SW chips or 1/3 of your plate salad!

    For cheese and onion,

    2 table spoons of quark,
    Chives
    half onion - chopped
(I added half a grated potato precooked, to this and about 50ml of milk from my allowance)
Spray pan with frylight, and fry off the onions, add the quark, keep stirring, add potato, milk and chives. Fill pitta and seal with egg as before.

    Awww *hugs*

If you look closely there are plenty of lovely eggs on there that come in under syn, most of them are if you (like I probably would) scoff the lot in one.
Sadly thanks to that, I look at a chocolate egg and think of the syns involved, so haven't as yet indulged.

Someone please reassure me that eggs are free and unlimited.... I have discovered the wonders of SW quiche (6 eggs, 200g tub fat free cottage cheese, seasoning & filling of choice) and it is lush!! I had mushroom & onion yesterday and have just made chicken & sweetcorn for tea.

Food wise today I have been pretty good...
    B - pear, apple, kiwi
L - baked potato with beans & green salad
    D - SW chicken & sweetcorn quiche.
    S - pear
Drinks - black coffee; flavoured sparkling water.

I also went for a fast walk for an hour this morning too.

I made roasted red peppers stuffed with savoury rice to go with my tea but I am truely stuffed after eating some of the quiche so I might have them as a snack later.

On the chocolate debate I am an all or nothing girl as I have a serious problem with chocolate. So much so that I haven't had any proper chocolate since 8th Jan as I know if I have one piece I will be like a crazed beast scoffing out of control. If I have a real chocolate craving I eat the dry powder of a Cadbury's Highlight with a teaspoon- that soon shifts the craving!

Now look here. I'd only just got rid of that revolting idea from the last time you posted it! Cease and desist!
