Flat Eric is your drainage channel clear? If there is water at the bottom there might be a blockage. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Yes our fridge does that sometimes too, I just shove a long skewer down the drainage hole to unblock it.
Today was day 4 for me, I have got my head around the plan and I think I am doing ok, todays food was:
Breakfast - Shreddies (HEB) and Milk (HEA) strawberries, blackberries and blueberries.
Lunch - Chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper and carrot. 2 Pears.
Dinner - Jacket potato, baked beans and a grated babybel (3 syns). Melon. A slice of swiss roll (6 syns)
Can't believe I haven't given up already! I have zero willpower and I love chocolate more than life itself lol. I do love reading this thread everyday though, it definitely motivates me to stick with it.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
Hmmm thanks for your replies. yes that would make sense - I think the water must be collecting (as it isn't going down the hole) and then its freezing over the hole exasperating the problem. Dr Eric will have to put her engineer hat on and investigate. At least my rose wine will be nicely chilled (which I will of course measure to within an inch of its life :rotfl: )
Foodwise for me - not a great day and must rein in tomorrow as want a loss on tuesday. Plan to make a chilli tomorrow so will add as much superfree as I can find :T0 -

No menu as such for me today as going out for lunch with a few colleagues , so feeling apprehensive about this. Just checked out the menu online and apart from soup everything is going to be heavily synned (including salads )..
Think i am either going to have red onion & potato rosti with artichokes (never tried these???) and mushrooms braised in coriander seeds & red wine, or the soup (boring??) or perhaps call & ask about the Moroccan carrot & raisin salad so i can find out whats in it exactly & if they would do as a main meal rather than just a side?
Its friday though so :j:jIm home, its the weekend and a lay in beckons tomorrow (although furry alarm clock may scupper lay in plans....)
Catching up with all your posts :j will post back soon :j
unrelated to sw (sorry) but thought I would ask ....
My fridge is far too cold - when I pull out the salad drawer - water leaksand for dinner tonight, I decided to have sausages (1 syn each :T) (they were half frozen!!)
Its been happening for a few weeks now and I'm not really sure what the problem is?
I've googled it tonight and there seems to be mixed opinion about what the problem might be and I am still none the wiser. Does anyone have any ideas? Its a Hotpoint RLA34 that I have. In general terms the fridge is keeping things cold (too cold in fact) and I think the frozen sausages were my fault because I turned the temperature dial up to colder.... Ive put it back to what I think is the lowest setting now?
I had terrible problems like this with a fridge a friend sold on to me. I bought a new one and freecycled the other, with an explanation that it seemed to both freeze up and leak from the fridge bit rather than the freezer bit. The men who delivered the new one said the old one probably had a door that didn't fit properly, it only has to be a cm or so out of kilter ....
Just had a fab day in Cardiff, it's a 1.5 hr train journey from home so I took my knitting, an apple, and some ryvita minis. That was for the way down. Whilst there I had some fantastic pasta with meatballs and a rich chilli tomato sauce, oh and some olives, oh and a small glass of red wine. I had to pass time at the station so bought a small bag of cashews, diet pepsi, and a tray of prepared pineapple. Can you see I was trying to balance out the bad stuff with good stuff? Just had loads of dhal including purple sprouting, broccoli, spinach and methi leaves though, so that should up the superfree too. V.full.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

our old one was like that, anything near the back of it froze. the freezer was so cold it froze a whole bottle of vodka. we had to ring round people, google and wikipedia to confirm that we shouldn't have frozen it unless we had an industrially cold freezer :rotfl:0 -
Day 5, I think? I've already lost count, doesn't bode well does it?
Went for another green day, but I've been in an up and down mood which has reflected in my up and down food -
B- Shredded Wheat (HEB) and skimmed milk (from HEA allowance) and banana
L - Pasta n sauce chicken and mushroom (0 syn, milk from HEA)
D- nothing
Snacks - Activia crumble snack pot (1 syn), oatsosimple (6 syn, milk from HEA), lots of grapes, far too many blueberries, 2 bubbly bars (4 syn), 2 ww yoghurts (0 syn)
Can't guarantee I won't head for the fridge before bedtime either, just got in from work so can't sleep yet but I feel a bit low so want some kind of comfort food.
I second Becks81 about the frozen fruits, I get a good sized tub for £1.99 IIRC in Asda? I just get a little tupperware box to put them in the night before so they have defrosted by morning, or I defrost them in the microwave and add to cereal, yogurt, meringue anything! Definitely a good deal.
kjmtidea - we could be twins, not even a week in and the willpower is dying and the chocolate is beckoning!! This is why I write on here every day, some kind of motivation to keep going xxOU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -

I've been very off plan today!! Normal service shall be resumed tomorrow.
I really hope you find your motivation and your willpower and that normal service resumes today. For your sake I hope that they hadn't blown away in one of Blackberrys gusts - you might not WANT them back!

I feel so much better doing green days than EE days but EE days are so much easier at the weekend when OH & son are home.
Part of me wants to take the easy route & part of me wants to keep feeling better:mad:Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
