    Has anyone attempted making this?

    Carb free cloud bread

    http://www.food.com/recipe/carb-free-cloud-bread-411501

Sounds good and it gets great reviews!

Some people who have tried them have added garlic powder to give more flavour. I suppose you could add whatever you wanted, I'm thinking of herbs, or poppy seeds. Definitely going to make these later, will report back.

Evening every one - I've been a bl00dy saint this week ahead of my weekend away. I am soooo looking forward to it and while I am going to try to be sensible with food I am going all out on the booze!! It's the first weekend away without kids for over 3 years and we are damn well going to enjoy it.

Oh I remember that first time without kids K&F - so pleased for you and wish you a fab weekend. Sure you'll get some great body magic in there too so don't worry about the food and drink too much ;););)
brace yourself for tmi. I don't know what caused it but I trotted to the work loo today, sat down and unexpectedly did the biggest, loudest and l-o-n-g-e-s-t f*rt ever. I was torn between being grateful there was no-one in the other cubicles and wishing there had been someone to be impressed! I confess I stayed where I was and giggled for a while. I've decided my weight loss system is lose, gain, sts, lose, gain, sts, but the losses outdo the gains by about a pound over the 3 week cycle. Slow but sure.

BR you're hysterical - you're doing the same dance as me I see!

    Morning all

No menu as such for me today as going out for lunch with a few colleagues , so feeling apprehensive about this. Just checked out the menu online and apart from soup everything is going to be heavily synned (including salads )..

Think i am either going to have red onion & potato rosti with artichokes (never tried these???) and mushrooms braised in coriander seeds & red wine, or the soup (boring??) or perhaps call & ask about the Moroccan carrot & raisin salad so i can find out whats in it exactly & if they would do as a main meal rather than just a side?

    Its friday though so :j:j

Well I had my first group last night. The first bit of walking in wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be! The people there aren't really 'my' type of people but Im sure I'll make some friends! Wonder if any of you are there??!
Im lighter than I thought I was, may be down to stress though in the past week or 2. Sooo my starting weight is 15st 5 1/2lbs I put my target as 10st but may adjust it 9st 5 1/2lbs so I get the 6st award :p

Not even sure what Im going to eat today as I need to get sw foods in! I had sausage egg and beans for breakfast as it was all I could think we had. Turns out my sausages are not the 1/2 syn I thought they were but 4 1/2 each! Oops- I had 2! Now need to decide what to do for lunch and tea now. Thinking of syn free spag bol for tea. Now just need to think of a lunch with max syn of 1 or 2!

  • Went shopping last night and unlike you lot in the UK I can honestly say that my shopping bill is more the healthier we eat! Fruit and veg are not cheap despite the fact that it's all grown here but mostly for export - what's left behind is high in price, it's so ridiculous. My fruit and veg bill alone each week is about 50 quid.

Milk products - low fat cheese, yoghurt, etc is also really expensive and the fish and veggie mince is also quite high. However as I said to my DH last night I'd rather know that we're feeding our kids healthily than trying to save some money - we can save in other ways. However I really feel for people who can't afford it and then have to feed their kids on white bread and jam cos that's what's cheap.

I'm having a cooking fest today and all from SW's Extra Easy Meals in Minutes -

Linguine with Creamy Pesto Sauce (made it last night and yummy)
Caldo Verde - boiling away at the moment and smells good
Sweet Potato and Carrot Tagine - smells divine and DD's asked for couscous to go with it
Black-eyed Bean and Vegetable Chilli - making it with veggie mince and kidney beans as I can't find any tinned black-eyed beans

that bloated feeling has gone :j seems like i'm not the only one switching from WW, for first few days i was freaking out thinking how can i lose weight eating this much food but i snook another look on the scales this morning and its moving in the right direction again got my shopping list ready to go shopping for next week after work today
can someone tell me how many syns the mug shots are on extra easy i work 9-2 on a friday without a proper break so i've got my usual fruit but just incase i am super hungry have got one in my bag

The chinese style & spicy sweet & sour are free as are the chicken noodles on the go, Tomato & Herb pasta on the go and the following versions of pasta snack - minestone, tomato & herb, roast chicken, spicy tomato. To be honest they are all pretty low on EE with the couscous versions and otehr pasta versions being 1 or 2 syns each with the expection of any of the various types (noodles, pasta etc) with cheese which are 3 syns. HTH. PS I highly recommend the spicy sweet & sour!

It's not ridiculous - we are all focussed on the numbers whether we should be or not. And you DID lose 3 stone ... even if a pound or two has gone back on. Perhaps you are now where your body is comfortable, there's not point making yourself miserable for the sake of 5 or 6 lbs now is there *big hug*

I can't believe you! You are so funny, I would have died if I had done that but if I had been in one of the cubicles I would have died laughing!!! On a serious note, it's better out than in!

Thanks for telling be I'm not being stupid. x

    Have a great day everyone. x x x
  • Hmm that sounds delicious? Do you have the recipe please? ( or is it on the Canadian ladies website? )

It's from the SW book EE Meals in Minutes -

1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
1 tsp finely grated ginger root
2 tsp each of ground cumin and ground cinnamon
1 tsp each of ground coriander, turmeric and red chili flakes
    400g can chopped tomatoes
    1/2 tsp sweetener
    250ml vegetable stock
300g potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
300g sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 large carrots, peeled and cubed
salt & freshly ground black pepper

Place all the ingredients in a large lidded non-stick frying pan and place over heat.
Bring to the boil, reduce to medium heat, cover and simmer gently for 15-20 mins or until the vegetables are tender
Season well and serve over couscous, garnished with chopped coriander.
