When I eat too much artificial sweetener I get a real gutsache and bloated belly, yes. I remember when I used to eat two alpen bars, if I also had a muller light and something else with sweetener in I would feel really bloated.. but then I would get the runs too. Basically it played havoc with my digestion. I try avoid it as much as possible now - have even cut down on the mullers; I have natural yog with a teaspoon of honey.
one part of me is saying i got to target eating like this, and never felt so bad, do i have to change my eating habits to maintain?
i have been eating bascially a lot of the same stuff for 10 months now, but have only felt really rubbish the past few days, thats why i was blaming the bread :mad:
i will have to just stick with the plan, back to EE for me, and hope for the best when i get on the scales next week:o0 -
Well since we are on the subject of inner workings ....I find myself quite "bunged up"if you know what I mean. I am very surprised, given all the extra fruit and vegetables in my diet. I have abandoned the bananas in case they were the problem , but it seems not!
i have read before that bananas and grapes can cause this, tho i eat them on a daily basis, (would only have a banana in the morning tho, hard to digest after that):o0 -
3 muller lights
2 alpen light bads (1 HE)
1 banana
3 apples
1 tub of chopped fruit (strawberries, pineapple, grapes etc)
1 tub of sugar free jelly with chopped fruit in it
1 pot shot or mug shot
i just graze thru that in work all day between 9am / 5pm
and then when i go home i had a large bowl of homemade soup (syn free, carrots, potatoes, onion, leeks, chicken)
followed by boiled egg and toast (2ND HE)
syns 1 hi fi bar (6) and 1 bag of mini animal biscuits (5)
Are you having extra HEs as you are at target? Where are your A choices? Chicken not free on green.

I only have 1/2 a banana a day, if that, and very few grapes I suspect I am not drinking enough water/squash.
Piglet, perhaps you are just unwell? some bug or virus maybe? It may not be connected to your diet at all.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

day 4 in the Slimming World novices house... tried to do a green day, lets see if I got it all wrong!! Hope not as I did prefer this type of day.
B - Shredded Wheat (HEB) with milk (from HEA allowance)
L - Pasta n sauce (1 syn), with milk from HEA allowance
D - prawns (HEB), lots of vegetables and rice

So p"$$ed off it's unreal!
+1 for me this week :mad: and I have been soooooo good. Yes I had a twirl and milky way the other night but I should not have put on 1lb! All the workouts I'm doing and they are extremely intense! And I went running on Monday night......these are things I've not done in years! I am following the diet, I may not be having my hea and heb every day and I know this will make a difference to losses but surely I shouldn't be gaining and having little losses....
I feel like I could lose more weight following another diet, I'm seriously doubting SW works for me.......I'm not saying it doesn't work but maybe it works better for some people and not so much for others. I lost 3 stone last year by dramatically cutting down in fat, nothing else, just fat but I thought following a balanced diet like SW I would see a good loss.
God I am so annoyed right now, I could cry.... sorry for the rant! :mad:0 -
When people put on weight in my club the consultant always asks if they have increased their exercise regime. Apparently much more intense exercise can make the muscles retain more fluid ( or words to that effect) Maybe this applies to you.Norn Iron Club member 4730

Well it is definitely intense, I steer away from the workouts with weights as much as possible because I don't want to get muscle, I want to shift fat. I'm going to do some research into it and see if that's the case. My husband even said how is it possible to put on weight with the amount of exercise I've done this week.
