NSV: The top I am wearing is soooo baggy it's great. Folded up the jeans I bought 9 weeks back, ready for the charity shop.
I really can't believe I have lost 2 and a half stone in 12 weeks.Natterjack88 wrote: »Im going to my first meeting tonight- how much money should I take and what extras would you recommend in terms of books to buy etc? TIA
Good luck tonight. Book buys, I would suggest only getting the magazine. You'll have enough to get your head round in the pack you get when you going. The magazine is 85p cheaper at group, so worth getting there and it has plenty of ideas that you can cut out and keep each month. Between those and this lovely forum thread you'll have enough for your first week!
I find the Hifi bars yummy but terribly morish. I have an extremely strong will power so I just don't buy them. I noticed a weight loss drop when I had them to when I didn't.
BARGAIN ALERT
Hold out on buying a count down for the next 2 weeks. Free desserts book when you buy a 12 week one after that for a month I think it is.
macpep1 Oh it is believe me. I too cannot stand quark, used it once, cannot even remember what for and it was yuk.
I like quark, as others have said - 12 weeks in I am beginning to notice the fattier foods leave your mouth feeling coated in yuk. Quark doesn't do this, philly etc do. Quark with [STRIKE]cardboard[/STRIKE] scan bran, (1/2 heb) grapes satsuma and cheese, a couple of crackers too - cheese board for under 5 syns on a night, even with a glass of wine I still have syns to spare.:D
Jacket potato in the oven, some smoked trimed back bacon to go with. Beef hash for tea. Lovely day so far0 -

They are so much better than muller which i wont eat anyway as they have gelatine in them. They are 35p each in sainsburys right now.

Everyone to their own, I don't like philly much either, with the exception of the sweet chilli one  although I don't mind using them in a sauce, will see how the cheesecake turns out with the quark, it may have its uses yet, think I had used it for some sort of cheese sauce before, really cannot remember.:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Decided this week I'll do the Spring Salmon Parcels, I'm 41 and I've only ever eaten salmon from a tin, lol, (£7 for 4 salmon fillets). Hope it doesn't become a favourite like the steak, we can only afford that once a month.
This is worth getting:

Half price at the moment so £10 for a really big piece. I cut it into 3 and put 2 pieces in the freezer - it's delicious. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

I loathe all soft white cheese or anything similar but I really like this made into a white sauce for pasta or lasagne as I did the other evening. If you season it well and add some good stock to it then it's fine.
Still can't bring myself to buy and use cottage cheese though!!!:eek:Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

Yes, I picked up the squidgy mozarella last night but couldn't face buying it so put it back. Last time I used cottage cheese in a meal, you would have thought I was on "Im a celebrity" I was banging my feet and holding my nose trying to swallow it, I hate it, so was pleasantly surprised at this quiche, I did as before hand if it still had the same consistency & she told me no as it was blitzed, and it was gorgeous.:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

I detest cottage cheese so was a bit dubios but as its blended with the eggs you wouldn;t know it had any in, I am having it for lunch today again
I will give that one a go next time but the one I made today I used the phili with chives and the quiche was so nice. I only had a nibble though because of WI tonight.........I don't eat on WI day, only a yoghurt and fruit for breakfast........gosh I'm soooooooo hungry!i have noticed my arms feel more firmand also my thighs and abs (where were they hiding 6 stone ago!) look more defined. i started level 2 on day 9 i was going to do 10 days on each level but i forgot i was on day 9 and not 10! level 2 def hurts more and i sweat more whereas i think after 9 days on level 1 i was too comfortable on it i haven't tried any of the other 3 dvds....those await me in 17 days ha!
Very good and well done! I feel and notice a difference in my arms, bum, tummy and thighs. I am going to get the rest of her DVDs because I really enjoy them. I ended up doing BFBM dvd today again today, hoping that has made a difference to WI tonight. I will start level 2 tomorrow of 30DS.........I think that's day 6 for me, I've lost count because of the alternating! I also don't like doing the weights every day, I would end up looking like Popeye!
Keep up the good work! :T0 -
i feel rotten!!
fat, bloated and stomach as hard as the road,
could it be the 2 green days on the trot? i dont think the extra bread is agreeing with me,
along with the mug shot / pot shot for lunch, maybe its too much?
thoughts anyone:o0 -
I've discovered a big love for fruit since starting SW.
I always liked strawberries and grapes but never ate enough, I would go through phases. But since starting SW I eat every fruit going, but in particular I love raspberries and I've now discovered a love for blueberries.....but my god are they expensive! I could demolish a tub of blueberries with a mullerlight. Tesco have blueberries on offer at the minute though, £1.99 instead of £3.99
Are there any other fruit bargains around?
Morrisons strawbs are £1 but to be honest the quality is deteriorating quickly!0 -

I find I'm more bloated with too much greens.....not green days as such, just green foods in general. I like broccoli soup but my god it bloats me so much! But I feel the benefits a couple of days later!0
