I'm going to end up wearing my PJS to work in a minute as my clothes don't fit me.:rotfl: ( My work trousers are looking sad) and my laze at home trousers - well I think I must have shrunk them in the tumble dryer because when I wore them at the weekend, they felt tight and uncomfortable.

Do you have something to aim for ? I do (and ignore it!) but go back to basics. If you have done SW before then you know what its all about and know how it works. I collected the new mag from class tonight so it will be in the shops anyday now. Treat yourself to it - there are always fab recipes and stories inside.

Sit down and work out what you like to eat then work out how it can fit with slimming world. Plan a week's menu. allow for a treat or two. treat each day as it comes. there are 21 meals in a week - one bad meal isn't going to ruin the week.

Thanks everso for that. I don't have anything in particular to aim for but I just feel like an oompaloompa at the moment whereas 18 months ago I felt very good. :( I am never too bothered what the scales say but I hate feeling unhealthy and ploddish.

I went back to SW over a year ago just for a few weeks and tried the EE and it totally did my head in and confused me which doesn't take much! I think I am a person who is better suited to Red/Green days.

There is a class tonight and it's with a Consultant who covered a class when our consultant was away and I found her very inspiring so I'm hoping some of that will rub off on me.

I'm not keen on natural yoghurt either FE but I really like the vanilla yoghurt and have been having it on frozen berries and a chopped banana. It seems to keep me full for quite a while too.

I have this for brekkie every day & it fills me up until lunchtime but I love yoghurt :D

On the Red/Green debate, interesting reading, I would say my meals are mainly made up of vegetable dishes, I am thinking of having a read through & trying the Green, am sure the plan in the May/June mag was Green. I don't go to class, it was my friends OH who gave me his books to copy & just said 1/3 SF each day, he lost (I think) around 9st doing EE but he was also out walking, cycling etc every day. If using quorn meat instead of the real meat, is this also synned on Green??

does anyone have a list of syns for WW ready meals? I got a load when there was a "glitch" at Mr T & have not used them as I didnt know the syn values, they are handy for a quick lunch or a quick dinner if I haven't prepared anything.

Well I think im going to join slimming world!- have started reading this thread from the beginning- but you lot can talk! :p

I've got about 6 stone to lose. I had a baby boy last year but to be honest the weight gain started about 4-5 years ago. I went from being super active to being super lazy overnight and the weight has just crept on over the years. I was a size 10-12 when I was 19, 4-5 years later I am now a size 18 and about 16st. Id love to be 10 stone but its going to be a looong journey. Think the first thing I need to do is get myself out my comfort zone and join a group- do you just turn up or do you have phone? Think with joining the group im more likely to only have bad days rather than bad months!

Also wondering if SW affects your grocery bill? Can see mine going up loads!

Also the recipe thread has got so many good ideas but is there any books anyone would recommend? Not so mse but though id ask :p

I guess it effects on your grocerries bill depend on what you eat to start with.

If you eat loads of choc/ crisps/ biscuits and replace them with fruit and veg then I guess it would be similar a 6 pack of crisps is more than a 6 pack of apples after all! If you eat lots of ready meals or takeout and replace with home cooking it coudl be lots cheaper.

If you do a red plan they I imagine it might cost more if you eat lots of steak/ chicken breasts.
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

    oh you will ;)

you will find that its so much easier to stick to it, and so much nicer too!

when myself and my mum got our 4 stone awards we went to our (former) fav fast food restaurant, and it was rotten!!! (bearing in mind, we could hardly drive past it before SW)

We could still taste fat and grease in our mouths the next day :o

i brushed my teeth, tongue, roof of my mouth, gums, everywhere...and could STILL taste fat,

    we havent been back!

how much would you like to loose in total lalamb?

You just turn up to a group that suits you.Make yourself known to the consultant who will give you and any other new members the induction talk.
Well, this is what ours does, we chat, get weighed etc then she starts the evenings discussions.it's great , I've even made a few new friends and have joined Zumba with one of them!
