Struggled today as I decided to have a treatsize asda bubbly chocolate thing at lunch, and all it did was make me crave more bad food! So I gobbled up a load of fruit... wasn't the same but I resisted!
Anyway another thing I've found already is that when I've finished work (in a mental health unit) the last thing I want to do is cook, so my meals will seem a bit random on work days. Hopefully it'll get better and I can try out some of your recipes and recommendations.
Anyway today:
B: 1.5 shredded wheat (HEB) with banana and skimmed milk (from 375ml HEA)
L: Fresh king prawns on a bed of lettuce, tomato, spring onion and beetroot and a bit of pasta (about 1/2 of the meal was superfree)3 weight watchers cumberland sausage (1.5 syn) with carrots/peas/sweetcorn (1/3 of plate was superfree I think, just)
Snacks: 1 asda bubbly snacksize choc (2 syn), bowl of blueberries and grapes, bowl of mixed berries, 2 ww fruit yoghurts (syn free), handful of cherry tomatoes
Will probably end up having something sweet in a bit but something that is less than 5 syns I reckon.... also I haven't quite used all my milk yet, couple of cups of tea should do it, I've drunk flavoured sugar free water all day.
Keep posting:D
Remember peas & sweetcorn aren't superfree.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Thanks guys... I think an entire day being 1/3 superfree rather than each meal is more manageable for me so I'll see how it goes. I would hope that I'll still lose some weight, compared to my normal food habits the food I'm eating now is mega healthy! I'm a perma-snacker!!!
Failing that I will try green days, I'm a mega carb fan too TakeItEazy!! And thank you :-)OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
I have GOT to get back to SW as I have just sat down and had to take my trousers off as I feel so uncomfortable. I am at home by the way!:rotfl::rotfl:
I just cannot get in the right mood and have been putting off going for months. It is sheer laziness on my part and lack of motivation.
I'm going to end up wearing my PJS to work in a minute as my clothes don't fit me.:rotfl: ( My work trousers are looking sad) and my laze at home trousers - well I think I must have shrunk them in the tumble dryer because when I wore them at the weekend, they felt tight and uncomfortable.
Do you have something to aim for ? I do (and ignore it!) but go back to basics. If you have done SW before then you know what its all about and know how it works. I collected the new mag from class tonight so it will be in the shops anyday now. Treat yourself to it - there are always fab recipes and stories inside.
Sit down and work out what you like to eat then work out how it can fit with slimming world. Plan a week's menu. allow for a treat or two. treat each day as it comes. there are 21 meals in a week - one bad meal isn't going to ruin the week.
I joined Slimming World this morning :j It's a bit confusing at first though isn't it? This is what I have had today, I'm doing EE:
Breakfast - Porridge (HEB) made with milk (HEA) and sliced banana.
Lunch - 4 slices of ham with fat free cottage cheese. Carrots, tomatoes, cucumber and apple. Babybel 3.5 syns.
Dinner - Cottage pie, I used 3.5 syns on a little gravy. I had half of my plate covered with cabbage and brocolli and then a good portion of the cottage pie.
I had some melon afterwards.
I have had a few glasses of water and a diet coke. Does this look right? I might have some fruit or some other free food this evening as I normally pig out on chocolate in the evening so I know I will want something.
Thanks in advance, you are all full of great info!

The oats so simple golden syrup is 10.5 syns on all plans (57g pot). The sachets are 6.5 again on all plans
Delurking here to day that 27g Origianl Oats So Simple and 1 Ryvita Dark/Orig/Sesame is a HEB according to the website.
I've just checked as I've been having these and panicked a bit when I read your post!
Only original though, not Golden Syrup.

You have to find what works for you. I don't have chocolate in my house at all and only have any kind of cakes and biscuits at the weekend but even that has been cut down. I do keep boxes of microwave popcorn. I hate the stuff but the kids love it so it works for me.
I do somethng very similar. My DH is happy to eat all SW meals along with me but he does enjoy the odd biscuit with a cuppa. So I buy things that don't do it for me at all (Fig rolls are one of his favourites). That way he gets a few treats and I'm happy to ignore them in the cupboard.0 -

Nuts are another thing - DH loves brazil, walnuts and pecans but hate those - I just have to keep the cashews, peanuts and pistachios out of the house!
Also anything with coconut I loathe so if I buy cake (not very often) I buy with coconut in. If I make cake (every weekend) I'm usually ok just to have a taster to check how it's come out.Mediterranean Mum

Morning everyone, just caught up on last night's posts - welcome newbies and nice to hear you're getting into the plan.
For the lady who said that she doesn't feel like cooking at the end of the day, you'll get used to planning ahead and preparing and freezing food or using a slow cooker so that you have a meal to come home to. Try to plan it otherwise you're going to start grazing as soon as you walk in the door.
I have some left overs from last night which I'm basing today's food on. LO stir fried veggies will become part of a frittata for breakfast (see I think of you all first thing before getting breakfast!!!!!). LO lasagne will be for lunch with a salad and tonight I'm making a sausage and vegetable casserole. I have a packet of sausages in the fridge that I need to use and DS complained last night that we have too much veggie food these days (!) and he wants hot dogs - so making dogs for him with fried onions (in frylight of course) and will use a few of the sausages and fried onions to make a casserole for me.
Have a great day everyone and good luck to everyone who has WI today.Mediterranean Mum

Morning all,
I was at my GP yest (Xenical time again)
She thought i looked fantastic, asked me what size i was, (im into a 12 now) and she said she really would not like to see me any smaller, and that she didnt think any smaller would suit me (i totally agree!)
she weighed me, (12 stone on the nose) and agreed with me that i was still "technically" overweight,
but added that if i lost just a few more lbs thru toning and maintaining that would be fine, but not much more,
she added that "being thin is not the be all and end all, and that being fit and healthy and taking a bit of exercise was more important than being thin"
she give me another script for Xenical,
fast forward to this morning, now i was 12.2 in SW class last week, 12.4 was target, 12.1 was my 6 stone award, so i was sure i got it, eps after weighing in at 12 on the nose yest afternoon,....
well....:mad::mad: this morning at class i was 12.4.5!!!
a 2.5lbs GAIN!!! :mad::o
I just think i must be one of those people who is not lighter in the mornings (i always thought everyone was lighter in the mornings?)
why do i weigh so much heavier in class?:o:mad:
if i put ON 2.5lbs while trying to loose, what will happen if i try taking the extra HE's :D
ahh well, im still within target range, but i do think i might go back next monday night,
thought anyone?
everyone lighter in the mornings here?
What I said about us being twins - well it's a bit freaky but last night I put on 2.5lbs!
So I bounced back to 12 stone 2 and feel £$%^& about it! I know it's * time and despite being on tranexamic acid I am really struggling this month....
I am on a countdown so I will hang on until it finishes and then call target I think. I wore size 12 Fatface cords to work yesterday...
Well done to all the losers.
I have the day from hell today - DD1 at hosp at 9.00am (taxi in 20 mins) and then we go to a college open evening at 6 tonight....
Oh and as usual I cooked tea for everyone and then went to weigh in - and nobody did the washing up!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
