I dread to think what I look like doing it! I end up screaming at myself to hold plank position!
Just phoned consultant to check where class is and she said there's an offer coming up in 2 weeks where you pay for 10 weeks and get 2 free and a recipe book

Is mix and match different to extra easy? I was trying to follow extra easy.
Yes, mix to max is where you have each individual meal either red, green or neutral.

I often do these days and they are great as i hate EE.

You get 2A and 2B choices and you decide what plan you are doing each meal from. Sounds complicated but its really not.

I tend to have a neutral breakfast of weetabix(B), banana and yoghurt
Green lunch of homemade lentil soup and maybe a breadroll(B)
Dinner would be red - roast chicken and salad.

You have to be a little careful - you need to syn anything at each meal time according to the plan you are on. If i had a potato at dinner i'd have to syn it in line with a red day, meat at lunch would be synned as a green day.

Snacks should be superfree. Syns as normal.

Its one of my favourite plans, my weeks are mostly green or mix to max. I dont do EE at all really.

Went home last night & after last weeks fiasco, Dh had made me proper Mexican bake, only thing was I think he overdone the oregano, as some bits tasted like the smell of mould :rotfl: IYKWIM.

    Todays EE plan

B – Frozen Berries, FF Nat yogurt Alpen light (½ HEB)
L – ‘Heinz’ tomato soup 1 WM bread (½ HEB), melon
D – Mexican Bake, (HEA) salad
S – Banana chopped in toffee muller

Drinks - loads of green tea
Exercise - 20 mins on shred

Weigh in tomorrow, am not sure of a loss, I did go over slightly at weekend on syns but have been doing plenty exercise so hopefully will counteract that. I am also on new stinky drinky from doc to try & regulate/move along my poo, :o not moving anything yet so still feeling bloated & think * will be due as I am now irregular due to coil change being overdue by 6 weeks  (called start of march, was due changed mid-april) first appointment 7.20 pm 16th May  would just be my luck that it came tomorrow when I am supposed to have new one fitted :o

    Morning all

Sorry this is a long one..

I didnt have a great weekend food wise, got drunk on saturday and ate junk all day and then ate pizza & chips in the early hours so woke on sunday feeling like cr3p and guilty about the alcohol/rubbish food i had consumed during the previous 24 hours :o which then set off a train of " i don't care & i am fed up of syns" type thoughts.

This meant that Sunday was a mediocre day slimming world wise. I woke yesterday and was adamant that i wouldn't be returning to group because i didn't fancy sitting there for an hour clapping and because i was CERTAIN that i had gained because of the weekends excesses.

I meant to text my consultant to let them ( don't wish to disclose if he/she in case they come on MSE) know that i wouldn't be going to the WI, as it happened i forgot and by 5pm i felt i had left it too late to text and made the effort to go.

Attended the group at 7pm & got weighed..by some miracle i have lost 2lb :T:j which set me off wooping round the place like a mad woman. :D

I have made the decision to look for another group because i think the consultant i have at the moment is rubbish, this person has their "favourites" , isn't particularly encouraging to the "non favourites" and admitted last night they are continuously putting weight back on and are very unmotivated to lose what they are gaining .

Interestingly food wise yesterday i wasnt in "SW mode" but sub-consciously chose healthy food options & fruit as snacks during the entire day and ended up actually only eating 10 syns. This is pleasing to me because it means that SW is actually working in helping me change my attitude towards food and as a result i am choosing the healthier choice not because i am trying to lose weight but because its what i am wanting to eat :T

Anyway after my success last night , i am feeling back on track and menu for me is as follows -

B - Scrambled eggs, turkey rashers followed by some melon ( still cant get to grips with melon but i am determined to keep pushing on with it).

L - tomato & onion pasta n sauce (free & only half the packet) with chicken chunks and veggies mixed in.

D - Extra lean beef curry (from new SW magazine) with rice

Snacks - fruit during the day, thinking of having crushed meringues this pm with some strawberries and the vanilla muller light.

    Exercise - swimming this evening

I use a yoga mat - you can pick up really cheap ones in argos that aren't great for yoga but they're fine for things like this.

    Morning all

Can I come back? :o Was on this thread last year and really need to get back into the SW way of life before I get married in summer :j

My online membership has expired but I have all the downloaded sheets etc, so just hoping i can check a few syn values with you guys and not have to pay again :money:

    So yesterday was day 1:

Porridge (HEB) with milk (HEA) and strawberries
    Apple
Salad made with leaves/toms (all free) but also a bit of chicken (sweet chilli chicken strips from M&S - anyone know a syn value?). French fry crisps (4?)
    Pineapple, bannana and FF yog
Seabass with stir fry veg and new potatoes

    Today:

B:Porridge (HEB) with milk (HEA) and berries
L: Salad with tuna and new potatoes
    D: pasta with veg

My porridge has been the 'oats so simple' sachet but I have 10 golden syrup ones to use up... are they still a HEB or do i need to add syns?

if you are going to have a completely vegetarian meal once a day there is just no point doing EE, its designed to be your proverbial meat and two veg at every meal. if you follow EE and eat veggie, you are just depriving yourself of an extra HEA and HEB for no reason. the groups are so focussed on EE that its just never explained that it only suits a certain type of person. theres 4 plans and you need to find out which one fits best for you. EE is lots of meat and lots of potato/pasta/noodles every meal, red is for meat and fish lovers who can take or leave potato/pasta/noodles in large quantities, green is veggie and people who can take or leave meat in large quanities and mix to max lets you have the best of both worlds in one day.

with your menu on a green day, you can have exactly the same things but your bacon would be a measured portion and counted as your second HEB and you would still have another HEA if you wanted one. you also wouldn't have to worry about 1/3 SF as that rule doesn't exist on green.

That's really interesting. I only ever joined SW online and I never saw anything about mix to match. It sounds like it would really suit me; we try not to eat too much meat as we used to do low carbing which means tons of the stuff. It's expensive too. Can you still buy books etc that explain it all? I'd need a list of the hebs and heas if I was going to try it.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news , the only porridge that can be used as a HEX B is plain porridge.

The oats so simple golden syrup is 10.5 syns on all plans (57g pot). The sachets are 6.5 again on all plans
