vicki - i used to be like that at the very start, but then i started taking salads with me to work which meant that i knew i was getting something good, even if it was only a little.

my problem now though, (though its not as bad as it has been), is that because im used to eating so healthily, if i have too high a fat content in something im eating, my stomach etc doesnt react too well to it.

currently at the minute im sitting 1lb over what i weighed in at last week, so hopefully i can shift that and a few more lbs by thursdays WI. a friend of mine is hopefully joining SW... she wants to get rid of her baby belly (i told her to wait a few more weeks though since her son is only 8wks old)

so far today ive had :

    B: nada, since i slept in :)
L: 1/2 mugshot, jar of cockles, and a treatsize dairy milk.(4 syns?)
D: will be roast beef dinner, with potatoes, carrots, parsnips and maybe a cauliflower dish

S: a slice of cheese(HEA), pineapple and a large orange so far. will probably have mango and an apple later.

my SF's are quite low today though so might make a small salad before dinner for a starter or maybe something for dessert?

tomorrow will be orange and grapefruit segments for breakfast, and i havent quite worked out lunch or dinner yet.

just found this http://group.slimmingworld.com/useful-features/scrumptious-sarnies.aspx if anyone wants free mayo. havent tried it yet, though i love hmanns extra light so im not sure if it will convert me. anyone tried it yet?

Thank you I know I need to give it time just like I did with WW but I'm not used to this uncomfortable feeling but if I'm not eating the right amounts it's not going to work. I have upped my fluid intake though normally I have 2 litres water a day and I've just started on 3rd litre so maybe my stomach is full of water!

  • Vicki my stomach is the same when I eat too much fat. I also heard (from a doctor) that you can actually drink too much water and the optimum amount should be 2 litres.

Not doing too good today am I ha! Another question do you have to have syns? Don't think I could face any today! Just before Xmas I was craving a carvery less than 20 minutes after eating it my stomach let me know it would not accept that sort of thing anymore and I was very ill for few days I don't feel like that today I just feel like I've eaten too much so def going to have to relook at menu plan for this week

  • A lot of people calculate the syns for the week and save them up for the weekend. SW say that you should have them - some people have them every day and some save them. Do whatever works for you and you'll only really know that when you get into the stride.

feeling a bit :-( today. I have first weigh in tomorrow and do not think I have lost anything.

I got weighed in class on monday and then weighed myself at home on thursday, according to my scales I have lost nothing since wednesday, really should not have weighed at home :(

I have stuck to EE 100%, but seem to be obsessed with what I am eating , is this normal ????

    today looks like this

    B Branflakes, Milk and mullerlight
L ommlette with loads of veg, fruit salad. i slice wholemeal bread ( syned )
    D Beef casserole , cabbage , potato

    snacks fruit

I have been keeping track of syns and have not went over 10 in any day, most days about 7 or 8

    oh well will know tomorrow.

    Doe

    Do you feel different?
I don't weigh myself between classes as it would dishearten me if they showed a gain.

Me again! Sorry for asking too many questions just doing menu plan for tomorrow and would be grateful if someone could check it for me:
B: porridge and banana (do I use the 375ml milk for this?)
L: jacket potato and beans (are any beans ok?)
T: cottage pie (if I make it for tea today)

I'll be at work tomorrow so less time to mope around moaning about a full stomach!

You need 1/3 fruit and veg throughout the day Vicki. Any baked beans are ok with your baked tattie but they aren't superfree. The milk you use for your porridge is your HEA (use whatever is left in your teas & coffees through out the day) and the porridge itself is the HEB.

2 Q's for those in the know:

    1) why would someone choose to do red or green days when on extra easy you can have both? I know syn values vary but on extra easy you choose the lower of the two? Am I missing the catch??

The main reason I used to deviate from EE was when I couldn't fit in my 1/3rd SF as I don't like fruit and only a limited amount of veg. It meant that if I have a meal like curry and rice or spaghetti bolognaise then I would be kinda cheating the system if I counted it all as free on EE as I wasn't having 1/3rd SF.

Thank you, it wasn't the hellish journey I thought it would be until I got to within 3lbs of no longer being classed as overweight and scales keep moving the wrong way!!

I cooking the cottage pie now and it says to serve it with leeks carrots and peas....I hate peas so won't be having them!! I used to be anti fruit but I can easily eat 5 oranges and a banana in a day but today I've only had 2 oranges
