Thank you all so much for your help - all i really got from mu meeting was fill plate 1/3 with fruit and veg then you can pretty much eat what you like for the rest (obviously not fried foods etc). Not sure if it was my understanding of it or whether it was being rushed through (did go through it very quickly)

I have just had jacket potato and beans with 30g cheese for lunch and then a pear. Is spag bol with lots of veg in it ok for dinner followed by melon.

Still makig my way through wesite and books so thanks for all of your help

don't forget its 1/3 of super free veg and fruit. some fruit and veg isn't SF, peas being the biggie that aren't SF. it also isn't SF if fruit is cooked or if its blended into a smoothie.

The oat pancakes sound a nice change from porridge! Do you have a link to recipe, thanks.

Its another made up recipe I'm afraid based on a nigella one

50g oats - soaked in water til soft (2 x HEB)
    2g ff cottage cheese
    3 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla

separate eggs and beat yolks with cheese and vanilla, light whisk whites til white but not stiff then fold in yolk mix and oats. Spray frying pan with frylight then cook tablespoon fulls of the mixture til golden, flip over and cook the other side.

I had 2 and a teaspoon on maple syrup, the mixture made 8 so 4 per HEB - if the kids hadn't scoffed them I would hve had 2 as a mid afternoon snack to get full serving of HE

    Hello all,
I hope you don't mind me joining. I have successfully lost weight with WW before but it's not working for me anymore. I have tried SW once before but didn't like the red day/green day concept. But now with extra easy I'm going to give this a go... I just eat mindlessly even when I'm not hungry, but if that's the case at least there's a load of free/superfree foods to chomp on! I have to lose 2 stone, though 3 would be ideal...

I'm not attending classes, nor paying for the website, nor weighing myself yet (for me personally I think the shock of the scales will be counterproductive) so I just wanted to make sure with you all I've got this right for extra easy:

    - You can eat as much free and superfree food as you want but at least 1/3 of each meal must be superfree food
    - You choose one healthy extra A and one healthy extra B each day
    - anything else has a syn value and you can have up to 15 syns a day

Am I on the right lines??

I'm on week two & really struggled to get my head around the 1/3rd superfree.
My consulatant said to think of it as 1/3 of each meal SF so you can fill up on fruit or have soup for a starter.

Spag bol is fine with lots of veg in:D

I post my menus here daily & if they're not good somebody always helps me.

My 30 second (or thereabouts) guide to SW Extra Easy...

    * Plan your day/week in advance and shop accordingly.
    * Base each meal on 2/3 free foods (either all (free) red or all (free) green or a mixture of both) and 1/3 superfree foods
    * snack on superfree foods (orange pages).
Have one Healthy A Option and one Healthy B Option (See relevant pages in your books for choices). Make sure you measure/weigh !!

    Have 5-10 syns each day.

2 Q's for those in the know:

    1) why would someone choose to do red or green days when on extra easy you can have both? I know syn values vary but on extra easy you choose the lower of the two? Am I missing the catch??
    2) For your HEB you can have bitesize shredded wheat, can't you have the normal size ones??
