tbh, its like SW themselves haven't got a plan for maintaining apart from "eat more HE!". when i was at target. i maintained by letting go of some little things so HE weren't measured and i stopped measuring things like butter and ketchup and had a few things fried in oil. tbh, i did keep loosing and gaining the same few pounds and the weeks i "maintained" were the weeks when id been lax and had been out for a meal and drinks or had a few really naughty treats.

i was basically left to it though. there was no need to ask me "what did you do?" because it wasn't what the rest of the group needed to hear and "what meals did you eat?" every single week just got boring. i felt like i got nothing out of going anymore so i just stopped. they say we're welcome back for life but there is literally nothing to go back to class for apart from getting weighed and if you have mates there you want to see. all the groups I've been to have only one or two target members still attending, and they are recent targets, I've never seen a long term target member keep going, even just appearing once a month.

We have a target member who has been at target for five years, she comes every single week. She's a lovely old lady and really inspires anyone who is struggling. I do agree that the consultants don't make a big deal of target members but our dear old lady says if she didn't come she would have put her weight back on a long time ago and she can't do that because of medical reasons
  • That's what target is though! I sit next to a great bloke who has been at target for coming up to 2 years. Each week he puts on or loses the odd pound, depending on what he's been doing. Over the 2 years he has been in danger of going out of target at both ends, but has actually only been out of range for 1 week - and that was enough to get him rethinking......

Learning how to stay at target is hard, but you've done so well - don't get disheartened now!

Thank you so much that. I do realise it's now trial and error!

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!
  • good morning everyone - the start of a new week over here

started with a 40 minute walk this morning - if I don't get out early then it just gets too hot to go later in the day (and it's only May!)

B - vanilla FF yoghurt, frozen berries, banana
    S - watermelon
    L - chicken & pasta salad with dressing (2)
S - cheese & onion toastie (HEA, HEB)
D - lentil & cauliflower soup; chicken in coconut, vegetable rice (4)
    Mediterranean Mum

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

    Welcome to the thread :)

Healthy extra A is your milk & cheese. Are your laughing cow triangles Light or Extra Light?

Healthy extra B is fibre. Is your wholemeal loaf 400g 0r 800g?

thank you, they are extra light triangles and the loaf is 400g, so if i have cheese i don't have to have 375ml of milk that is mentioned in the daily mirror book from yesterday....i hate milk!

You can have 6 triangles for Healthy A & two slices of the 400g loaf for your Healthy B.
