Hello :j I have read the first and last page but can't read the other 123 pages, I would be here all night :rotfl:. I am thinking about joining slimming world, I am rubbish at eating properly and losing weight but slimming world doesn't really seem like a diet - more like eating healthy food and getting back to 'normal'?
I am torn between going to the meetings or joining online, can anyone recommend one or the other? It seems a little complicated but I guess you just get the hang of it after a while, I am thinking about dragging my partner along with me too!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

Go to the meetings. The support is excellent.

I would recommend the meetings, Last year I tried WW online and lasted all of a month and didn't really do anygood, but joined SW group 12 weeks ago and have so far lost 12lb. I find it difficult meeting new people but plucked up the courage to go and for the first couple of weeks I felt a bit lost, but now I find people really friendly and look forward to going. I like listening to other peoples ideas, if I only get 1 tip each week its worth it, you're paying the money so may as well get as much as possible for it.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0

Been a little AWOL recently. I got to target just over a year ago, managed to keep it up for 6 months, then went out of target range and got too busy/stressed at work to be able to keep up with the meetings and I let myself go a little since I don't have scales at home.
Sooooooo I'm rejoining on Monday! A different group to the one I went to before, I'm a little embarrassed and I found that my consultant wasn't as supportive as I needed her to be once I got to target. Very much a case of not worth her time as I wasn't paying anymore. Anyway, I think I have put on around about 3/4 stone from my target but will find out for sure on Monday.
I have also updated the SW recipe thread opening post to keep everything in check hehe.

Hello again Lil Me, and thanks for updating the recipe thread, I was worrying about that! Did you know "your" recipe thread had a mention in Martin's email last week!?!?! And hello to Nessie too - you might want to take over the wheel of the tank since dizzy is currently awoland we are anxious to hear from her but she'll be mad if the tank's battery's flat from lack of use when she gets back.

My 30 day shred dvd arrived today. :j
I did it via youtube on Sun and Monday and I loved it. I've also started the banish fat boost metabolism dvd, did it on Wed and Thurs.....having a break today because I ache all over. I prefer BFBM because it's more intense.......however, I haven't looked at level 2 of 30 day shred, I'm scared lol
OMG BFBM is more intense :eek:. I done level 2 two days ago, am still sore, not as sore as I was after level one, mostly stomach & shoulders, I use big tins as I have no handweights :rotfl:bak onto level 2 today. Not sure about level three though, perhaps when my endurance is better I shall think about it!

Need to come on here at the weekend to stay on track, dinner was lovely last night although fishcakes were a little bitter because of the mustard, not sure how to overcome this, I hate mustard so perhaps next time I will use just half the amount.

It is definitely more aerobic, concentrates less on strength. I was sweating like a beast when I was done, and every review I've read they all say the same........she kicks your !!! in BFBM! Have a look on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSSI9CUMe_I0 -

Hubby and I Going out this afternoon into town , will be strange n going out for my normal fish and chips but on the bright side will save me £20 no buyin lunch lol
B. bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, toast HEB , fruit
L. Soup and roll ( roll syn )
D. Ham salad. Baked potatoes. Yogurt
Snacks will be fruit, and laughing cow cheese will be 1/2 HEA and milk for tea 1/2HEA

any one any idea how many syns in a foccacia, 3 cheese pizza, 3 bottles of wine and eton mess......I enjoyed everyone of them!!
