I only managed the cheese triangles, 1 slice of ham and a few onions and pieces of cucumber for my lunch just now and my stomach actually hurts like I have eaten way too much is this normal in the beginning? Done day 9 of 30 day shred but not been on cross trainer yet, might have to rethink tea ...my stomach might explode ha!

2 Q's for those in the know:

    1) why would someone choose to do red or green days when on extra easy you can have both? I know syn values vary but on extra easy you choose the lower of the two? Am I missing the catch??
    2) For your HEB you can have bitesize shredded wheat, can't you have the normal size ones??

    1) I loose more weight and more consistently on G and R than i do on EE. trying G and R is the one of the first switches you do if you stop loosing or don't loose much. i also prefer G and R because you can have 2 HEA and 2 HEB a day. also the list for G HEB is extended to include posh cheeses and dried fruit.

    2) look on the website, it has a full list of HE. only the most popular choices are in the book, they don't have space to put them all in plus things are added and taken off all the time.

    welcome all newbies.

I managed to avoid the dreaded vino all weekend and have stuck to plan 100% so I will be disappointed if I don't lose tomorrow. I am nervous about the scales tomorrow as I really thought I would have lost 2lb last week and put on 1lb.

I didn't feel like that to start with Vicki but then I hadn't been following any plan prior to starting. As you are used to eating small amounts of food with doing WW your stomach obviously isn't used to the quantity any more. Unfortunately by eating the ham, cheese and only a wee bit of the cucumber & onions you probably a wee bit low on superfree for lunch.

Thanks, I thought it might be due to a change in plan hoping this passes because I feel a bit sick right now I tried to finish lunch but failed miserably and I didn't eat all breakfast either, hoping that this will settle down by Tuesday because I don't want to spend money on classes when my stomach is playing games with me, thanks everyone for advice I really appreciate you taking the time to help me x

feeling a bit :-( today. I have first weigh in tomorrow and do not think I have lost anything.

I got weighed in class on monday and then weighed myself at home on thursday, according to my scales I have lost nothing since wednesday, really should not have weighed at home :(

I have stuck to EE 100%, but seem to be obsessed with what I am eating , is this normal ????

    today looks like this

    B Branflakes, Milk and mullerlight
L ommlette with loads of veg, fruit salad. i slice wholemeal bread ( syned )
    D Beef casserole , cabbage , potato

    snacks fruit

I have been keeping track of syns and have not went over 10 in any day, most days about 7 or 8

    oh well will know tomorrow.

vicki - i used to be like that at the very start, but then i started taking salads with me to work which meant that i knew i was getting something good, even if it was only a little.

my problem now though, (though its not as bad as it has been), is that because im used to eating so healthily, if i have too high a fat content in something im eating, my stomach etc doesnt react too well to it.

currently at the minute im sitting 1lb over what i weighed in at last week, so hopefully i can shift that and a few more lbs by thursdays WI. a friend of mine is hopefully joining SW... she wants to get rid of her baby belly (i told her to wait a few more weeks though since her son is only 8wks old)

so far today ive had :

    B: nada, since i slept in :)
L: 1/2 mugshot, jar of cockles, and a treatsize dairy milk.(4 syns?)
D: will be roast beef dinner, with potatoes, carrots, parsnips and maybe a cauliflower dish

S: a slice of cheese(HEA), pineapple and a large orange so far. will probably have mango and an apple later.

my SF's are quite low today though so might make a small salad before dinner for a starter or maybe something for dessert?

tomorrow will be orange and grapefruit segments for breakfast, and i havent quite worked out lunch or dinner yet.

just found this http://group.slimmingworld.com/useful-features/scrumptious-sarnies.aspx if anyone wants free mayo. havent tried it yet, though i love hmanns extra light so im not sure if it will convert me. anyone tried it yet?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

    (1) I prefer red and green days. Extra Easy, well its just never gelled for me. I understand it (although I didn't at the beginning and not for a long time). With a red/green day, I can have two A options / two B options. If I was following Extra Easy, I can only have one of each. I find the structure of red and green days worked well for me and I got on very well with the Mix to match days.

    (2) Not sure. to qualify as an HEB option, it has to have a certain amount of fibre. As another poster said, not all HEB options are in the books but they are online and its worth checking this regularly because stuff gets added and removed all the time.

i weigh myself mid week, only because i know that i want to be able to correct it if its going the wrong way, but i wouldnt recommend it. its just a part of me that likes to keep control of me, though it does send you round the bend some days. Tbh i would advise you not to, because it will have you obsessing and stressing, and thats not good for you. its a lifestyle change, not a quick fix so the more relaxed you are, the better. (im still learning that the hard way)
