Hi Losers
Well, I was soooo looking forward to my Mexican Bake last night, DH asked me to send him recipe and he would have it ready for me coming in. I was gutted, I couldn’t eat it as
A – He never measured the cheese
B – He used mature cheddar :eek::eek:
He told me just to scrape the cheese off the top, :rotfl::rotfl:no can do I said as the fat will be all the way through so he had some of it, I had a frozen quorn chicken tikka meal (1.5 syns) as at that time I couldn’t be bothered to cook.
He really doesn’t understand the concept of SW.;) On the upside, used my HEA & HEB to have roasted cheese later on
So todays EE Plan
B – Berries & Melon with FF Nat yogurt
L – Jacket with tuna mayo (2 syns), salad, melon & strawberries
D – Salmon Fishcakes, Rustic Courgette & Potato cakes, large salad with HEA cheese HEB will be breadcrumbs for fishcakes
S – Apple
200ml skimmed milk for coffees
Total Syns for the day 4

Hi macpep1 - I have the same thing with my OH, he doesn't get the concept of SW and having somethings "as much as you want" and other things having to be precision weighed, lol. But then he happily eats the SW food I cook and we both eat for dinner!!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

I'm going to ask a silly question.
Why do you bake it in the oven and not fry it in fry light, is it just a personal taste thing?
OH does the cooking at the weekend and he's not a great fan of Frylight - he can't remember to use it :mad: so we rub the fajita seasoning into the chicken and put it on greaseproof paper and cook in the oven. Works fine ( and less labour intensive), although I do miss the odd crispy bit.
We make homemade syn free salsa, have a big salad and I throw in a jacket aswell.
Seems to work - and it means I can eat just about what they eat...... which is the joy of slimming world for me!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
I'm struggling.
I'm a comfort eater & i've had some bad news. I'm really fighting with myself to stay strong & break the cycle.
CH sending you {{{{{hugs}}}}}. I'm a big comfort eater and I'm sure there are many more on here who are also. I'm sure this is bringing back so many painful memories for you.
Like the others have said, I would go for a green day and also use your syns for something that will help - be it chocolate or wine, or whatever - but think about what you're doing and don't let yourself lose control.
At the end of the day you want to be strong for your friend to help her through this terrible time and the only way you can do that is if you are strong and not falling to pieces. You'll feel so much better if you don't give in to the feeling of wanting to crawl under the covers and hope that everything goes away (oh yes, I've been there!).
Good luck CH to you and your friend and of course her mum. We're all here for you so feel free to cry on our cyber shoulders and offload.Mediterranean Mum

Don't forget some ff greek yog as syn free alternative to sour cream. I too have wrap less fajitas - I have rice with mine, loads of veg, bit of chicken, 'refried' beans, rice, salsa and yog. Hmmmmm my mouth is watering now!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Oh yes he has eaten about everything SW I cook, he has no complaints there, just means less for me to freeze for myself . (Only veg he eats is cold carrots out a tin and they must be in salted water) First time he ate SW bolognese bake, I told him about all the veg in it, he couldn't believe it :rotfl::TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

For the fajitas I know it sounds crap but get a big whole iceberg lettuce leaf and use it as a wrap. It is surprisingly good!
Sorry to hear your news CH27, comfort eating won't make the news less bad or your memories less painful. All it will do is make you feel bad about yourself afterwards. Look at this as the one thing you can control and focus on it, 1 day at a time. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi everyone,
I am cooking a curry for dinner tonight, my mum has recently started Slimming World so nice to all be supportive and have the same meal and I enjoy cooking new recipes.
I've looked on the Slimming World website and in the 'find a recipe' section, I have found a chicken curry recipe:
http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/chicken-curry.aspx
has anyone tried this recipe and have any reviews?
The other recipe I have found is in the 'free 7 day menu', called Chicken Tikka Masala.
What are peoples views, have you a preference between the two if you've tried them?
Thanks!0 -
Hello all,
Do you remember me??? lol
Really hectic couple of months, with dissertation, work, giving up smoking and coming off my contraceptive inj
Not done brilliantly on SW as was struggling with time and lack of planning
However, i am now strapped to Dizzy's tank (i hope there is someone driving!!!) and will not budge until the end of the year at least!!!
Done success express last week and lost 1.5lbs - which is good considering i had 1 day off completely!
Now been doing fast forward this week - but have struggled more than previously, especially after losing my favourite guinea pig on Monday, that was a hard time, especially having to bury her in MIL garden as we have no space in our garden!
Today i am not on fast forward as going to black tie do tonight for Uni thing, but trying to be good
I am hoping for a nice 4lb loss this week!
Fingers crossed that it happens for me!
Good luck to everyone this week and i hope to stick around more permanently this time (work has quietened down)0
