Sadly that's 6 syns PER TORTILLA!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is why when my family do fajitas I have the chicken ( cooked in the oven, not fried) with new/baked spud(s).

Thanks, I was having stir fry tonight but hubby fancied fajita with kids, looks like he will be having stir fry too as he is also following SW with me although he is not going to class.

    Thanks again

Re the daily mirror post above, has anyone else heard about this ??? Our consultant mentioned about it but originally said it was sat/sun/mon but then said, it was fri/sat/sun. I have picked the mirror up today (after having a good browse in the shop first because there was no free booklet inside) but I still can't see anything. On the website, there is an article about SW - well members stories (dated today) but I can't find this in the paper.

I got this today via another slimming plan (from my past life!)

Pick up your first FREE SUMMER BODY PLAN magazine inside the Daily Record this Saturday, 12th May!

    Morning losers:D

Well done everyone who has lost!

    Green for me:
    Using an A for milk
    Coffee
    2 Weetabix(B), yoghurt, banana, tea
    Cheese(A) omelette, SW chips, beetroot
Chicken(B) and veg stirfry with egg fried rice(1 syn for oil)

    Does that look ok?

Hmmm another day off plan for Flat Eric. Not sure why, when I weigh at the heaviest I have been since I joined SW that I continue with the self sabotage but ho hum very few chocolate syns remain in my house. Have a chilli planned for Saturday with [/B]LOTS of superfree for the weekend. Hopefully I can at least be good some of this week.

Dont give up FE. Dont beat yourself up for it. The best thing you can do is keep trying & do what you can. So what if you have a week where you eat more syns. Its just a week which in the grand scheme of things is nothing.. take small steps to get back to the 15 syn daily allowance. Ok it might not happen overnight but it WILL happen at some point.

I think as long as you are still eating reasonably healthily then an extra choc or 2 wont matter so much. However if you are consuming pizza/kebabs/oodles of toast (my downfall :o) with NOTHING healthy then that is a problem and i would suggest going to see your SW consultant (do you attend the groups?? sorry cant remember?:o). If you dont then write yourself a food diary for a week with everything you have eaten and then start cutting back bit by bit rather than in one fell swoop..

The hardest thing for me to deal with is having the balance of sweets/chocolate to healthy nutritious food right and also having to deal with the feelings of guilt if anything i deem as "bad for me" passes my lips.

I dont know about anyone else but i find when i am losing weight i become obsessed with food and thinking about food. I was obsessing this way this morning before work ( its cookie friday today which means the kitchen has several bags of bakery cookies & flapjacks waiting to be eaten :() and i dont want to spend my life avoiding treats.

Avoidance is the reason why i think i have failed at diets in the past. I go without , one bad day & all goes wrong & it continues to spiral with it ending up that i put on a lot of pounds in a short space of time.
I will no doubt end up having a cookie today and i am trying to come to terms with it because"this is ok and because its not an everyday occurrence".

Sorry for going off track a bit there..the point i want to make is just keep going & do what you can. *hugs*

  • I don't work on Fridays and apart from doing all my cooking for the weekend and some extra for the week, I spend a lot of time on the computer, usually reading blogs and searching for recipes - I'm a big foodie!

I came across this blog this morning - http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/

Not everything is suitable for SW but most can be adapted and she has some nice salads and salad dressings which I'm always looking for.

    I'm struggling.
I'm a comfort eater & i've had some bad news. I'm really fighting with myself to stay strong & break the cycle.

CH27 remember you are in control - you get to decide if you are going to be a comfort eater this time.

Is there someone irl you can off load about your bad news to - or tell us if you want. We can't make it better but sharing can help.

Think bout if eating will make you feel better/ make the bd news any less bad or if it will start a spiral of eating, feeling worse, eating more...

If you really need to Comfort eat something do so but something ok - if its sweet stuff that does it for you a little choc, rice pud sweetened with spenda or have green day and have a big bowl of stodge - pasta, mash something that will fill and comfort you without wrecking the plan.

No idea if any of this helps but ((())) to you. And if you fall off the wagon what the worse that can happen - a few lbs on, lesson learned and move on - don't beat yourself up xxx

    Thankyou so much.

I've already planned a green day because of the stodge.

My friend's mum is dying of the same thing my mum died of & i'm upset for them but it's also brought back lots of painful memories.

  • Hello everyone,

Well done to all the losers and keep smiling for anybody who is struggling.

Yesterday went well, it was a "good day", I think doing the Green Days works much better for me, it's great to have the "extra" Healthy Extra compared to what you get on EE (as not much of a meat eater it's far simpler for me!).

I've got the new 50 Free Green Recipes book at home now too, so going to try a couple from there this weekend.

I agree with the others above - comfort eating is something that takes a long time to get under control, it's a lesson in remembering that eating doesn't really solve the pain and finding other ways to cope.

    Big hugs to everyone.
