Maybe I could thanks. I was thinking of a bring two take two evening, any left behind goods going to the charity shop.On second thoughts, perhaps I should just keep quiet! We all have different paths to take.

    Hi everyone :j

Would you all mind if i jumped on board?

I joined my local slimming world club 5 weeks ago and have lost 6 pounds so far...I know that may not sound a lot but i am mainly housebound and limited on energy due to long term illness (CFS) so have found things quite hard to be honest...but im NOT giving up and using my illness as an excuse not to lose weight and i have really enjoyed eating more salads veg and fruit which i feel is helping me alot.

Look forward to chatting with you all and sharing any tips/inspiration that you may have!

Welcome aboard! This is a very friendly, helpful ship. X

Never had one myself and I'm 10 years older! But that should be the least of your worries - just have a laugh and enjoy the attention.

Well done Piglet :T:j, you soooo deserve this treat & you will feel like a superstar :D. Fake tan will make you feel even more confident, makes you look healthy & slimmer, just exfoliate a few days beforehand, am sure you know this as you have had one already, you will also know you will smell like stinky digestive biscuits for a few days :rotfl::rotfl:

i think most people would be delighted with a bag of clothes,

i have a work mate who lost a bit of weight, and she give me all of her big stuff, and i was like a kid in a sweet shop :j:j

i still havent needed to buy so much cause i am living in her old stuff,

i had a clear out and give my cousin 6 black bags full of my old stuff and herself, her sister and her mum are all getting a turn out of things,

i give my mum a lot of my "good" big stuff and shes chuffed to bits to fit in them!

be brave, be a good ice breaker too, when the consultant does the rounds and you get to say your bit, ask would anyone like your cast offs! ;)
  • Hi myonlysunshine :-)

I joined SW and this board a few weeks ago and can really say that this board is brilliant for the every-day support, and it's so welcoming and a really great bunch, some who are starting out, some who are part-way on their journey, and some who are reaching their target and finding their path to stay there. It's a really wonderful board to be a part of!
Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Can someone link me to the mexican bake? i can't seem to find it. Made the baked bean lasagne and it was delicious!!!!!

Flat eric - i cook up a batch of bacon to keep in the fridge. Every morning i put half a tablespoon of very low fat mayo (half a syn) on the bread, ding the bacon for ten seconds in the micro - then put it in my bread as a sandwich. Then i eat it an hour or two later on once i get into work and seated. Egg mayo sandwich is another option, or chicken and bacon sandwich - nom nom. Toastie made and taken to work isnt bad once cooled either. Spanish omelette is a great portable eat any time option

    Here it is Zip -

    Mexican Bake
3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
1 large red onion, peeled and chopped
    1 red pepper, cubed
    1 tomato, cubed
couple of handfuls of frozen sweetcorn
    tin of baked beans
tin of sliced mushrooms, drained and washed
    oregano
    black pepper
    chili flakes
    135g grated mozzarella

    1. Boil the potatoes and drain when just ready.
    2. In some frylight, saute the onion then add the red pepper and tomato.
    3. Add the mushrooms and sweetcorn and mix well.
    4. Add a couple of teaspoons of oregano, a good shaking of chili flakes and a few grinds of black pepper.
    5. Add the baked beans and combine all together.
    6. Pour into a casserole and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
    7. Bake in the oven until the cheese has melted and browned.
