), only 2 syns which were in form of my fish pie which I made using xl philadelphia
need to find another receipe for fish pie sauce tho as this wasn't that nice(I used the philly and total 0% plus some water and spices... and once the pie cooled down the sauce is too solid even when warmed up)
Morning
How is it possible to go to bed in a grumpy mood and wake even grumpier ????? :rotfl:
Would be interested to know what you all have for breakfast. I am not very good with breakfast (as I never really feel like eating when I get up and by the time I do want to eat, its too late to knock up a cooked breakfastas I am sat at my desk at work!) So breakfast for me usually involves a cereal bar/hi fi bar (so HEB gone or syns) (not helpful when its an Extra Easy day and thats your HEB gone). I do snack on fruit as a second breakfast but have to be organised to have prepped it/have it in the fridge in the first place!
Have a lovely day all.
I have medals in going to bed grumpy and waking even grumpier! I get up at 6 for work, but since I then spend an hour drinking coffee, knitting, reading, and eating breakfast, I don't have the same probs as you. But you can prepare fruit the evening before, or get out some frozen fruit to defrost. Add a measure of cereal and a yoghurt and you have a filling start to the day. Sometimes I cannot get through it all and I stick it into a small lidded pot and finish it at work. Another thing someone suggested is cooking a "fry up" the night before and reheating it in the micro the next morning, that would be a change.
Mmmm I've just prepared 2 days' worth of Asda meat free meatballs in a rich tomato sauce with added chopped spinach, leeks, onions and garlic (oh and lots of chilli). Accompanied by rice, asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower. Can't wait for lunch tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

thanks b-r
but I'm doing mostly Red days so beans aren't free
in the '50 free original receipes' cook book the sauce was quark+yoghurt and I swapped quark for xl philly as I couldn't find quark but I guess I will have to think of something else... I like my fish pie 'creamy' :P0 -

will stay away from starbucks for the rest of the week I think just in case... I still think it's not as bad as SW books say but you never know :P (I'm drinking cappuccino instead of latte as it's much less calories but no idea what's the difference really, must be brave one day and ask them all the questions LOL)
well done to all and welcome to the newbies
Well done on sticking to the plan despite birthday celebrations! :T I think you're wise to avoid Starbucks. I tend to opt for tea when I'm out or an Americano and ask for a small jug of hot milk so I can control the milk myself.0 -
Evening all
Hope everyone is having a good week.
Had another (eventful) day yesterday; OH collapsed at work and was rushed to hospital - at the time suspected angina. After tests etc was discharged very late last night with instructions to see the M.O. today who has ordered another barrage of tests. Looks like it's not angina but oesophageal spasm which has the symptoms of heart attack/angina. Very frightening though. OH is supremely tired today, and he's usually someone who likes to be continually on the go.
As for me - had WI this evening and had a 2.5lb loss,:D which took me to my Club Ten Award. Yay! :j
Take care all.0 -
Went to my first Slimming World tonight and hoping this is new start in the right direction. Weighed a bit more than I thought I did.
Now trying to decide what I'm going to eat tomorrow (and forever) and looking forward to reading my booklets and through this thread for inspiration.0 -
Thanks for the welcomes.
Spent most of last night miserable from my gain, I know its only 1lb but it was my first and I thought I was borderline to maintain as I'd had a few biscuits for the first time since starting.
Anyway, did a big shop at T tonight so the fruit bowls and fridge are nicely full.
B - fruit salad with nat yog and honey
Snack - Apple
L - Butternut Squash & Smoky Bacon soup with Wm roll , Activia Yoghurt
D - Mince (with left over veg and tomatoes), with Rice
Snack - Chopped banana, natural yoghurt and 3 chopped dried apricots
Doing a food diary this week and just realised yesterday had no HEB and only milk in drinks for HEA choice, today milk the same but managed the HEB. I usually find I want more than one HE never missed completely. oops!SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -

Thanks both of you for that. I tend to add tomatoes, passata, lots of seasoning, herbs and veggies to it anyway so I use it more as a base than anything else.Evening all

Morning folks. Nuther busy day full of play groups and doctors appointments.
-4lb for me last night, and Slimmer of the Week!
(proving my little science experiment completely so happy with that)czerniacha wrote: »e... I like my fish pie 'creamy' :P
Use Elmlea. 1 syn for a tablespoon, mix it with milk from your HEA to keep the syns low if you want.
Flat Eric - Breakfast for me is usually 1 weetabix and whatever fruit chopped up on top. If I am having a milk free day I top it with a vanilla yoghurt. Crunchy creamy(ish) you could chuck this in a tub the night before and just add the yoghurt when you get to work?
snoopy58 hope your hubby is ok.
Gettingthere Your body has been used to losing, you too are still in that mentality. Next week you might find you'll drop two and gain one the week after. Good luck!
PS71 - just stay focused this week, you'll be fine. Drop that gain and more0 -
is mix and match where you have a green meal or a red meal, as opposed to the whole day?i must have another wee read at my book later,
say for example for a red meal, could i do my SW "FRY", bacon, SW Sausage, chop, could i still add egg, beans and pineapple to it?
Mix to Match is exactly as evilsquid posted. So if I was having a mix to match day, I would have a neutral breakfast (usually a hi fi bar) so my first HEB option, lunch would be jacket and beans (free on green) (plus a HEA of cheese), then dinner would be steak (free on red), my second HEB of a weighed jacket and veg. You are allowed 2 HEB and 2 HEA options plus your syns.
Its not included in the new books - I suppose because the plan isn't needed anymore (what with Extra Easy) but I miss it - I feel that because its not printed in black and white that I am not allowed to do it ? but that's daft. so I'm going to incorporate it into my meal plans and see how I get on.
I suppose also that if all you have ever known is extra easy then it would get very confusing - which I guess is another reason they have omitted it. If I can get organised enough then I may try and plan Extra Easy days, I feel overall, this is the way forward.
I got stressed and grumpy yesterday afternoon so the syn munchies went slightly awry but the menu board I ordered online has arrived so I have started to write in (main) meal ideas. I can include up to 7 weeks worth of meals!
I have already had my 10 syns today ! (nature valley cereal bar) but I have been up since just after 4.30am and I know its going to be a long day and thats before I even get to the office! (which I am dreading) I have commuter rage to come first though !
I have decided that I am going to be relaxed about my syns because having too many syns is proving to be my stumbling block. That doesn't mean I am going to go crazy and eat syns until they are coming out my ears - it just means that (like today), if I have too many, I simply count them off the weekly allowance.
I shall be munching strawberries when I get into work, snack is grapes (forgot about them yesterday!)
Lunch is undecided but might be pub ? and tea is a SW beef madras curry.
I also included some WW meals in my home delivery shop yesterday. I only picked meals that were under 5 syns so I feel a bit happier that I have these as my backup plans :T
Its rainy here - hoping it will brighten up. Have a lovely day all :T
PS piglet yes except as evilsquid said, beans are only free on green days.
PPS - Snoopy - sending hugs - hope OH better real soon0 -
