is mix and match where you have a green meal or a red meal, as opposed to the whole day?

the plan is called "Mix 2 Max" and yes, you choose red or green for that particular meal. you get 15 syns and 2 HEA and 2 HEB per day from either list but you have to completely stick to that choice per meal, so if you had a green pasta dish and wanted mince in it you would have to HEB or syn the mince.

    Evening All

I was wondering if I could join your merry band. Where to begin. Me.....

Ive done a variety of different diets over the years and well Im a dieting quitter, I dont know what it is, well actually i do I love food yum yum yum. And well I had an op 4 weeks ago and Ive been a sofa potato ever since - albeit on doctors orders and well I went on a mini shopping trip wih a skinny friend (just to get out of the house) and due to the op (and lack of ironed and washed clothes, as the ironer and washer has had an op -me) I was wearing not the most flatering clothes and i kept seeing myself in the mirror and i wasnt very happy with what was looking back blah! :( Anyway today i caught a glimpse of myself as i was getting in the bath and well a very big OMG

At first i turned away and ignored it as i have done for sometime, but then i looked back, i took myself in and accepted that things have gotten quite out of hand, i looked at myself and the shape i had become and decided to do something about it, im not going to be that shape anymore, so with a deep breathe and the magic that is the internet, ive found my nearest meeting and im going for it in the morning, i may not be able to exercise just yet but i can get my butt up the road. Ive even set my alarm (and ironed a decent pair of trousers lol) :)

so if you wont mind I shall be back tomorrow to let you know how I get on.

    Thanks

I enjoy the classes, for the social aspect and the camaraderie. My nearest class is 12 miles away and I didnt know a soul when I started but now I feel very much at home and have met some lovely people including my consultant.

I think if I had gone to classes with someone else I probably wouldn't have mixed with others so much to be honest.

As for the £5 a week, I look on it as a £20 a month investment to a happier, healthier and slimmer me.... and if I wasn't going and paying each week I'm not sure if I'd have stuck to the plan as well as I have.

I also enjoy the classes. There's some great people go (one or two not so great). xxx

Hi everyone, please can I join your friendly little group?
I was on MSE quite a while ago but have lost my log in details. :(

I have been going to SW classes for 12 weeks now and have lost 12 1/2 lbs but tonight had my first gain :( only 1lb but feel like its the end of the world, silly I know as I've done ok steadily to date.

I joined with a friend (wouldn't dare to have joined on my own) although since week 1 she either doesn't go or just gets weighed, anyway I now enjoy the classes, we have quite a few friendly people in group. I always go bright red when its my turn to chat but enjoy listening to other peoples tips etc.

Hello, you're very welcome to join us, the more the merrier. Well done on your loss so far. As for the small gain - don't dwell on it, if you have cheated you know why you gained but if you haven't then it could be fluid retention or possibly star week. Just stick to the plan and you'll soon get that but off plus loads more. x x

Piglet - we must be twins! I got on the scales tonight and i had LOST 5lbs!

    I was stunned - and delighted! I now weigh 11 stone 13.5lbs!

And my sole aim for next week is to not bounce back to 12!

Thanks for all the support on here! I really needed it - fast Forward is not easy, nor is it particularly family friendly!

I've gotta go now - eldest gets braces tomorrow so lots to do!

Great Result, wEll done. It's such a fabulous feeling when you go down into a lower stone ! x

i must have another wee read at my book later,

say for example for a red meal, could i do my SW "FRY", bacon, SW Sausage, chop, could i still add egg, beans and pineapple to it?

I think you could add the egg (free on both) but not the beans (only free on EE or green). And pineapple with a fry?? Yes I guess so as thats free on both.

Quick question for you lovely ladies.
If i'm doing a red or green day do I have to follow the 1/3 superfree rules?

No you don't have to have 1/3 super free on red or green days but still best to have loads. x

    Morning all!

Welcome to the newbies and well done to all the losers, some really big loses there :T

Sorry I am not postiong much, I do read everyday but just have a lot going on atm.

I am doing the best diet going, the broken hearted diet. I have gone totally off food, thanks to my ex coming back into my life again and messing with my head!

The thought of food makes me quite ill.

But I'm really pleased for those doing well, I long to get back into it but can't seem to juggle following plan and looking after my DD's and putting up with lots of carp from the ex.

Oh dear, sending you big hugs. Try to stay as near to plan as you can but take good care of yourself and your girls. I'm gonna sound like my dear mum now but she always used to say "life's too short to waste" think what's best for you and your family x
