Odd, I just had a message saying I was banned :eek:0

no, the 1/3 SF rule is for EE only,;)
But my consultant always says you can't have enough SFs!!;)
piglet, your next target would have to be 11.11. As you are at the moment, when you get to your 6 stone award you'll be exactly on the bottom end of your target range. My experience has been that I keep falling below and you may not think so but that could be you next week!;) If you stay above or below the range for more than a week (even if you don't go to class that week) you have to pay again. I've found that I've carried on eating in SW style and although I have been having 'extras' (in terms of syns and HEXs) it hasn't been enough to stop me losing.
I was under last week so hopefully the party food I was stuffing on Monday will have helped.:)0 -

maman,
I have been allowed an extra heb this week to start maintaining, but I am scared to have it all the time because I think if I did and put weight back on then I will be back at square one again.
For me it's all or nothing, cannot get out of this mindset.
Is this normalor am I just an oddball?
Did you, or anyone else have these thoughts?
Any suggestions would be welcomed!
Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

i think what i will do is just keep trying, try for the 6 stone award, and then if i am lucky enough to get to 11.11that will be my new target, and in between 12.1 and 11.11 i will just pay for the class, then if i dont get it....no harm done
but i wont set a new target, until i actually get to it,gettingthere54 wrote: »maman,

i had the same thoughts.....i had my wholemeal bread yest as my HEB, then i had a HiFi bar....AND SYNNED IT
that brings me back to what we were talking about last week, and saying if you go too low target wise, would it be too hard to maintain,
well theres another target member at my class, and IMO she has gone too far, shes 9.7 and 5.8, but very thin indeed. what makes me think it is too low for her, is because she has said any week she tries to eat the 2nd HEX, she comes in with 3lbs on. that weight / height mite suit some, but i just think if its such a struggle that you cannot have your extra HEX then maybe its a case of a target set too low?
i dont want that either
my thoughts for target are, cut the exercise back to 3/4 walks a week, plus one circuits session and one water aerobics session,
then extra HEX as and when required (i never use my HEA anyways, so it would just be the extra bread / bar)
but if that doesnt work i can up the walking to 4 / 5 a week and maybe an extra exercise class.
have you a plan?0 -
Sooo..I think I have decided on my first target - just another 8lb to go! If I decide to stcik at that target do I add an extra HE and does it have to be A or B...
When I do Green days I have 1 HEA and 2 B, sometimes 2 A. ON EE I have 1 of each and aim for half sfPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I found that when I got to target I wasn't told much at all about how it works or how to maintain. I think it may have been becasue my usual consultant was on maternity leave at the time but the cynic in me says they're happy for you to yo-yo as you have to pay when you get out of the 3lbs range.
I'm 5ft 9 and my target was 10 st 7. I could easily drop to 10 st or even 9.5 but I know (like the person at your group piglet) that it would be too far. Mainly because I would look scrawny but also as it might be hard to maintain.
My problem has been that I keep slipping below the target range. That's not just with extra HEXs but with whole meals off plan and a deliberate little chocolate bar I've introduced of an evening. I think it's probably that before I gained in the last 10 years I've been between 9.5 and 10 stone (summer/winter variation) all my adult life so that's probably my natural weight. The trouble is I'm older now and my skin's not so elastic and I don't want a scrawny neck!:rotfl:
That's not a great deal of help to you people who are afraid of going over. What I'm saying is that I find I can have a lot more than 1 extra slice of bread a day and still lose/STS. I think it's a bit of trial and error really. The thing is that (as all the people who have sneaky WIs find) a 3lbs fluctuation isn't very much at all really so if you weren't going to class it wouldn't matter. What most people worry about is if their clothes fit!0 -
Quick question for you lovely ladies.
If i'm doing a red or green day do I have to follow the 1/3 superfree rules?Day one over and 12 syns used, only issue I had was milk for tea, had about 10 cups yeaterday !!!!
Have changed to skimmed milk from today lol
Onwards now to day 2
B. bran flakes HE fruit salad, banana and yogurt
L. Beans toast
D. Ham salad. Yogurt
Snacks will be fruit
Good luck to everyone for today
I'm a red and green girl at heart and said to my consultant once that I struggled with Extra Easy because I found it difficult to get the one third superfree on my plate at every meal. (I still do) Her response was that whatever plan I was following, I should still include the one third superfree but if I'm having Ham, eggs and sw chips, well I don't want salad with it or soup to start so I have to say I don't stick to this but do bear it in mind. I prefer Red and Green days because I don't feel under pressure to include the superfree although I know that I should! I have been thinking of going back to mix to match days because they worked really well for me and I can't see that just because it isn't mentioned in the books anymore, that you are not allowed to do it.
doe - why don't you put your milk for the day in a measuring jug - that way you can keep tabs on how much milk you have left/are drinking.
I ended up having a WW ready meal for lunch today - sweet and sour chicken. On Extra Easy and Green, it works out at 4.5 syns. I served it with a bag of fresh veg (one of those prod the bag, stick in the microwave bags)
It was very nice but unfortuantely now I want something sweet!
I haven't had my HEB option today yet so might have an alpen light.
For dinner, I am having SW chips, ham and eggs. Yum Yum!0 -
I measure my milk in the morning & keep it in a jug in the fridge.

is mix and match where you have a green meal or a red meal, as opposed to the whole day?0
