thank you everyone so much for the kind words,

i really could not believe that i lost 5lbs, i had just had a word with the consultant about changing my target, putting myself under lots of pressure, the scales not moving, etc

and then i looked down and seen 12.2....i was gobsmacked...from 12.7 last week :eek:

part of me thinks that i was badly dehydrated or suffering from starvation!

i was out all day sunday celebrating my wedding anniversary,

and i was a wee bit nervous about weighing in on Monday nites class, after going to the tues morn class last week,

so, my new target was 12.4, i am 12.2, but 12.1 will get me my 6 stone award, so naturally i would love to get that,

so i havent started the maintaining diet yet, ie eating to HEXs a day, i will try and get my 6 stone award first, but i do feel that the pressure is off

for anyone who is just starting out and think that they have a mammoth task in front of them, stick with it, it does work,

i went from 18.1 to 12.2 in 43 weeks, i had good days and bad, good weigh in and bad, but if you stick with it, you will get there.

there are days when its not easy, but then being obese isnt much fun sometimes either,

the support on here is immense, and i badly needed it at time,

i will be here, and at SW class for the rest of my days,

thanks again every one xo :A

    No idea! Still haven't set a target........:o:o

Group leader wanted me to set a target for next week of getting my 6 stone award - it's 4lb away! I am unlikely to lose 4 this week - my aim is to stay at a number that starts with 11!

i'm doing this for me - I don't want to set unrealistic targets...... even if they are weekly ones..

    good target!!

i am a little bit afraid that my 5lbs loss was somehow a false reading, so i will be happy with a STS this week, but i would love to get my 6 stone award (1lbs), tho i dont feel the same pressure as im not at target,

tho i will be mindful that i can change it over time

am i correct in thinking that you need to have 7lbs between targets?

Would be interested to know what you all have for breakfast. I am not very good with breakfast (as I never really feel like eating when I get up and by the time I do want to eat, its too late to knock up a cooked breakfast :D as I am sat at my desk at work!) So breakfast for me usually involves a cereal bar/hi fi bar (so HEB gone or syns) (not helpful when its an Extra Easy day and thats your HEB gone). I do snack on fruit as a second breakfast but have to be organised to have prepped it/have it in the fridge in the first place!

As an afterthought, are there are any ready meals you have come across that are low in syns but are filling and can be used for emergency lunch/evening meals when served with lots of veg ???

    Have a lovely day all.

Hi FE - I have breakfast in work every day. It's normally bran flakes, weetabix or porridge, which I weigh out at home, with a banana and sometimes other fruit. What you can make depends on whether you have a microwave or not, and agreed it does use your HEs, but I find it much easier than trying to make something at home when I'm in a rush.

Re. ready meals- I have only had one since I started and that was on Mon after WI as don't get home til 8. It was a Sainsbury's frozen bolognese pasta bake and it was very nice, better than most of the WW ones I've had. I must admit I didn't syn it at the time :o (was post WI and knew it was reasonably low cal/fat) but just looked it up and they are 3.5 on green/EE, so not bad at all :)

Quick question for you lovely ladies.
If i'm doing a red or green day do I have to follow the 1/3 superfree rules?

As has been answered, no, but it is good to try and do it if you can. I certainly don't do it all the time but feel slightly virtuous when there is a pile of veg on my plate that doesn't strictly have to be there! :rotfl:

Going over to my folks tonight so may not be on here every day but will try to post when I can. Today's plan (green):
B: Porridge (HEB), milk for drinks (HEA), banana, strawberries
L: Pasta with roasted tomatoes and feta cheese (HEA)
T: Egg mayo sandwich (HEB & 1.5) en route, veg curry on arrival
S: Strawberries and Quark, biscuit (6)

    Have a lovely day all.

    Morning :j

My breakfasts vary a little bit - examples are :-

Plain porridge made with half skimmed milk/half water and handful of fresh fruit thrown in.
    All Bran Golden Crunch
    Grape nuts
2 slices of wholemeal WW toast with scrambled egg, turkey rashers/mushrooms or 2 field mushrooms topped with onions (frylight) & chopped up turkey rashers -
    Spaghetti hoops on toast

As for ready meals i recently bought a quorn chicken tikka masala which was - used the rice/chicken peices as free food allowance so its really just the sauce that is synned.

    EE - 3 syns
    Green - 3 Syns
    Red - 6 Syns

    Packet info -

    Serving size 300g
Cals - 260 for the pack
    Protein - 10.5g
    Carbs - 45g
    Fat - 2.4g

Unsure of any other ready meal syns though. I would imagine the majority would be really high ..

Food Diary for me today -

Had a change for breakfast this morning and am regretting it because my tummy is growling -

B - Fruit topped with natural yoghurt
    L - Potato & Quorn sausage salad (2 syns) -
D - Rice/veggies steam bag with tin of tuna thrown in & drowned in soy sauce. Always fills me up & tastes yum

Snacks - fruit, WW toffee yoghurt (think these are free but need to double check), Dried apple (Hex B choice) ..not sure on hex a choice yet?? Might just drink a glass of milk

    well done CY!

Flat Eric - i have FF yogurt and fruit for breakfast or some form of egg with HEB WH bread.

the linda mccartney veggie lasagnes are 2 syns for a pack and taste ok. there good if you want something quick ready to go in the freezer. might be worth checking the syn value though, that was what it was the last time i did SW a few years ago.

as its been said, not strictly no. i got to target last time without doing this becuase it wasn't a strict rule, so i don't do it now if I'm on R or G.

yep you do, i bet its something to do with the fact SW will get a good few extra weeks out of you.

Good morning ladies....WOW WOW WOW some amazing losses, well done everyone. I would love to have a huge loss like that but mine are still piddly!

Some of you may remember me saying I'd ordered the Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD well I got impatient waiting for it to arrive and found it on youtube this morning. I started the 30 day shred at the weekend and loved it but want to combine it with something else and this sounded perfect for me. So, I managed all circuits but really struggled with circuit 4 the one on the mats, I don't have great strength so this definitely needs working on. The other circuits were really hard and I felt like giving up after the 2nd one but carried on. The last circuit number 7 is so tough but I really enjoyed it, even though I thought I was going to die! The sweat was just dripping off me, my top was sticking to my back and my leggings were soaking around my bottom. It gets excellent reviews, people saying they dropped a dress size in 2 weeks, this is what I want! If anyone is looking for a great workout you should definitely try this!
