I think coming on here during the week helped because I still had that "support" and reminded that it does work and to stick at it!
The other good news was that our consultant told us she'd processed last weeks session as being cancelled so we don't lose the "holiday" week and people on countdowns had that extended.
Fingers crossed for next week, I really want to get to my first award!
Having a hungry day today though, I've already had 1 apple and 1 mugshot for lunch, but my tummy is still grumbling. Doh!
So glad they came to their senses and treated last week as cancelled!
1 apple and a mugshot for lunch - no wonder you're hungry - sorry but I could never get through my day on that - get some real food inside you girl!rainbowfairydust wrote: »Well done. This is something i have always struggled with myself. In our local co-op we have to queue alongside 14 yes thats right 14  shelves/baskets (containers???) filled to the brim with chocolate/sweets/crisps/mini wine bottles/doughnuts/cookies & peanuts .. It is hell on earth waiting to pay sometimes :eek:
Hilarious Rainbow that you know exactly how many shelves and baskets there are - just keep counting, no tasting!Mediterranean Mum

Excellent, very well done
Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!
46 weeks! :beer:0 -
That's brilliant getting there! God, with the losses we've had this week we must almost make up a whole person....
Am finally going to get my set visit to the Great British Bake Off tomorrow, so I'm bracing myself for being offered lots of cake. Hopefully I can keep it to a few mouthfuls rather than an all-out stodge fest...0 -
Cheers MedMum - yes I was going to say something to her this week about having to use the holiday for it, so glad she beat me to it and said it was cancelled!
Normally my mug-shot and apples for lunch at work does the job (sometimes I bring leftovers from night before) but not today! I have a 2nd mug shot which I may have to have, they're the free ones so I'm sure it's "allowed"!!
Dinner last night was leftovers so no leftovers for todays lunch, doh!Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Does anyone know if there is a trade off and what the ratio would be for extra exercise/syns? In other words if I do an extra half hour walking would that maybe wipe out a few syns?Norn Iron Club member 4730

There's no problem having the mugshots but as I have my SFs spread over the day I'm conscious that I need to up the SFs if I up the free food. So if you take a mugshot and an apple as being a third SF then a second mugshot needs a second apple (or similar) IYSWIM. Sorry if that's a bit garbled.
Glad they sorted out last week's class. I can cope with £5 a week but what you suggested sounded like a rip off!
My co-op has those baskets too rainbowfairydust, you snake past them all on the way to the checkout. I was looking at Crunchies today but I've vowed that I won't buy any more until the football season starts again. I have one a week at the match with coffee as my treat.0 -
Cheers maman - Yes I figure that a mugshot and an apple is 1/3 SF, I know what you mean about the "1/3rd day sf".
Have so far resisted the 2nd mugshot, but have munched two apples, lol. I think part of feeling hungry is because we had a busy weekend and ate at different times each day, so I'm almost "readjusting"!!
Yep, wouldn't have thought too much about the class being cancelled if it weren't for everyone on here, so cheers everying (SW and MSE!!).
I'm going to try making some "slimming world free mayonaise" this week I think, and try doing egg mayo to go with pasta or jacket spuds for work lunches.Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

Hi Artytarty - as far as I'm aware no! Exercise will of course help you lose weight and tone up.
Remember that slimming world is about making good food choices for life - if you do extra exercise and you feel hungry, then you should choose superfree or free foods, or count anything else as syns.Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unlike WW, SW don't operate a policy of buying yourself more syns with exercise.
whilst the exercise will burn off the extra calories you may have eaten over your 15 a day/105 a week, as far as SW are concerned it doesn't matter what you do, all the extra gets you is more towards your next body magic and a potentially quicker ride to target.0 -
mmmmNH! I was just hoping I might have undone that unnecessary packet of Walkers baked crisps.I did an extra 15 mins uphill on top of my daily half hour. It's better than not doing it, I know, but I was sort of hoping for some syns back!
Does anyone else enjoy baking? I do and I miss it. So does everyone else in the household.Trouble is - bake it=eat it.Norn Iron Club member 4730
