Hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday monday.
Gunsandbanjos - can you share your tips for the perfect omelette please? I usually end up with a burnt omelette / it all in bits !!
Oh and whilst on the subject, can anyone recommend a frying pan that is MSE but which I can put under the grill / in the oven ????
Not sure my omelettes are perfect! I don't flip mine over though, I cook til reasonably solid but not quite cooked through then pop under a preheated grill for a minute or so with grated cheese on top til the cheese is melted.
I buy my cookware from TK maxx. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I use the wok-type non-stick frying pan as it's easier to turn them...
I use electric hand mixer to beat 2 eggs(just until they get fluffy, not for too long, don't use too many eggs at once or it will take ages to cook and make it more difficult to turn), add spices if making a savoury version and then put on the pan(use frylight and medium heat), cook until it looks set and then turn carefully(this is the part that doesn't always go like planned)
once you have it ready you can fill it with meat/veg or fruit/youghurt0 -
a bit of a random post (sorry) but I must post while I think about it!
I just wanted to mention about eating out. I have to say I am the sod it - have what I want camp but for those of you who want to stick as much as possible to SW when eating out then a common ruse used by members in our group was rather than to shout from the rooftops that you are following SW/other healthy eating plan, they would instead say they had an allergy / food intolerence etc. The view was that the restaurant/cafe/pub etc would take more notice of this than you simply saying oh Im following SW - leave off the butter...0 -
(baby in arms ... excuse typos)
hello Doe. When I joined I was nearly 20 stone - and that was after losing some prior to. I'm now 2 stone lighter in just 10 weeks. It can be done, if you want it to be 'done'
Thank yu for the tip flat eric, not thought of that. Not in the same camp as you, would hate to ruin a weeks work with one meal. not worth it in my opinion. though i do get jealous watching my family scoff deep-filled pies with inch deeep pastry .. i miss those0 -

good idea! :T
can I have a random question too?
Can I refill the fry light with olive oil or does it have to be the original stuff?
I know there is a big difference in calories but if it was still ok SW wise I'd prefer to have the olive oil in it then all the chemicals in original fry light0 -

You can syn olive oil and if my memory serves me correct, you can have it as a HEB option (1 tablespoon - but please don't quote me!)
I wouldn't be inclined to refill your frylight container with olive oil but I did back along spot an olive oil spray (so similar style to the frylight concept but olive oil instead). I rarely use it but I occasionally spray my roasted veg with it before cooking.0 -

Hello everyone
well I have decided to join SW this evening
I am currently about 20st 7lb, I was 21st at my heaviest and heading there again , I did lose 6s stone in 2005 but due to a lot going on in personal life I came off my diet again and put the 6 plus more back on again .
I have probably tried every diet going and always seem to give up after a few weeks.
I have been really impressed by 2 people I know who have lost 3 stone and 3.5 stone in SW so thought I would give it a try.

don't let the tiny gain ruin your day/week

Thank you sweetie! I have decided to stay off the wine tonight but to treat myself to a couple of glasses at the weekend.
I made homemade humous earlier and had it as a snack with loads of raw SF veggies.... v nice but I over did the garlic - ah well at least it'll keep the vampires away tonight :rotfl:Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
