One more day until my first weigh-in, on Monday morning. My jeans actually do feel slightly looser, I was kind of inbetween sizes anyway but usually opted for the bigger size so I could breathe/eat lol. I have not long bought myself a few new clothes in the bigger size, at this rate I will only get to wear them once each before having to replace them? I will invest in some belts I think lol x

Right I have only used 4 syns today on my two snack a jacks and although I did say I wanted to keep them a bit lower each day I think I will have a yummy alpen light and a nice options drink while watching something before bed :)

...also didnt get the house i wanted. i was getting it (best bid repo) until some ummm... lets call them a wazzock?... til some wazzock put a cash bid in on the afternoon my final bid was submitted. and they accepted the cash bid! grrrrrr :mad::mad::mad::mad: not remotely amused. i mean who on earth would have over 50k of disposable cash at the drop of a hat?! i was going to do up that poor neglected building and live in it until i could afford to move on to something bigger. it was the only house i could afford, and now that sausage is going to do it up and sell it on for a massive margin and doesnt give two hoots. hes not going to live in it. sorry ladies, had to have a little rant :o

That's a shame, what a disappointment for you. I expect the cach buyer was a politician or a scrap metal merchant :D

    You can freeze them

Well I never knew that........my fridge was looking like it had been sponsered by muller :o we were rotating the stock when we topped up. Something I will keep in mind now, thanks!

I only freeze one at a time for eating that same evening! Dunno how they'd be if frozen for weeks then defrosted, sorry

After almost a year on EE I think I am getting the hang of it. Today I have stuffed myself with salad but would have preferred something more warming as we have had a few flurries of snow.
Add some warm potatoes to a salad, or squeeze your salad into a warmed up wholemeal pitta - something warm in a salad makes it more filling and more like a Real Meal :) imo.

thinking of investing in a slow cooker - has anyone got one? are they any good?

I love mine, and use it a lot more than I thought.

On the first page is a load of sw slow cooker recipes from a lady who lost over 11stone following sw.

Apart from being :money: it's great for batch cooking.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I've had another good day today, I haven't eaten a lot but what I have eaten has been good. I'm not knocking it but my appetite as just disappeared. Usually on a Saturday night I could sit and graze watching rubbish on the tv - but haven't felt like it at all tonight :j

I have a day of batch cooking planned for tomorrow, I want to fill the freezer of sw friendly meals to keep me motivated and on track.

Because I have decided to go alone and give up group I now feel i have a point to prove so feel more determined. Not that I am knocking group sessions - I learnt so much from staying at image therapy but it just wasn't the same any more.

And a huge good luck to those giving up chocolate, I'm more of a savoury girl and find it hard to stay away from the crisps. But when I was pregnant with DD2 I gave up chocolate for Lent as I was always craving it badly - I found it so difficult and just ended up replacing the chocolate with other sweet and naughty things!

And talking of cravings I'm still off the Pepsi Max :T and am now hooked onto fizzy water. At 4 bottles for £1.50 at Tesco's I worked out Im saving myself over £5 a week in drinks . Add that to the saving I'm making from not going to group thats £10. MSE or what :rotfl:

thanks becks81 - i'd never seen those before :D - gives me loads of options now :)

im going to try and have a chocolate free week to see if i can shift a few lbs.... when its a particular week, or nearing it, i always over-crave chocolate... today as a result is now a flexi-day. but from tomorrow, no more chocky (or crisps etc) til at least friday, to see how i do.
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Strange day for me today. Started well (fat free activia yogurt for breakfast followed by boiled egg HEB sandwich) no spread or marmite - just black pepper! Had a late lunch of batchelors noodles which were horrid - this is where it went awry ! I then promptly had crackers and cheese (unmeasured!!) with spicy chutney for lunch followed by a 10 syn cereal bar ??? Then I have filled up on chocolate syns this afternoon.

Tea has been very sw friendly - lots of sw chips, fried eggs (in frylight of course!) and ham. My favourite comfort tea.

Have munched more chocolate syns since ???

Tomorrow is going to be tough as I will be getting up at the very stupid time of 5am, will be leaving the house before 7am and will not be back until early afternoon. I have taken steak out for tea but not sure what is going to happen with the rest of my meals :( Don't think it will be possible to get properly back on track until Monday and then as its a bank holiday, will no doubt want a bank holiday treat.

Keep calm...it's only a bank holiday. Flexi-syn it. As to all your chocolate munchings- try not buying any for a couple of weeks and see what you snack on.

One lady at group pads out her quorn with lentils - apparently much nicer.

Love my slow cooker. Saving the day many times. I did a beef joint in it the other day, layering the potatos/carrots/onions on the base with a tiny bit of stock, some peppers.. it was devine. Smelt lovely all day.

Today I have decided to embrace the Flylady mentality. I really refuse to be beaten by a house that insists on cluttering, no one puts anything away round here.:D
Lots of stuff to ebay, (savings for our stateside trip to the lakes. ) Hubby is full of flu. Not well at all, so cross at losing my weekend. Again! it seems to happen every time.

Mornng! I made porridge for breakfast 35g Healthy B choice made with water and a wee bit of milk. Not very nice at all, even sprinkled with some sugar substitute it must be the plainest food on earth. Then I decided to "syn"a piece of wholemeal toast which got burnt( ate it anyway) so all in all, not the best start to the day! A small glass of red wine planned for later and I reckon that should be be my syn allowance of about 12 gone.:(
