Thanks so much for the advice and encouragement, that days eating probably wasn't an accurate reflection of the veg I eat, I have mushrooms, peppers, onions etc most as and am really getting into my veg so I don't think it'll be a problem to add more. I really appreciate the reassurance, I think because I've heard people dropping so much weight so quickly I got disheartened but it's clear to me that slimming world is way easier to integrate into normal life, like for example I've just come back from the butchers who does a syn free slimming world meat parcel so I'm able to have a slimming world 'fry up' which would never happen on weight watchers!

    Thanks again :-)

people who loose more will generally have had more to loose in the first place and/or have only just started and had a complete overhaul of eating going from takeaway/ready meals and booze to fresh home cooked meals and limited booze.

SW only expect you to loose 1 or 2 pounds a week, thats the rate of losses most diets that aren't completely restrictive will give you. as you'll hear a lot of, 1 pound a week is 52 pounds a year or over 3 stone and nearly at your 4th!

all that while eating fry up :j:rotfl:

i ate a half of a hollow easter egg (small one that fitted in a ceramic mug) last night and felt sick as a dog all night! honestly i was doubled in two at one point - and i still have 2 1/2 eggs to go lol!

bad week so far ... put on .5lb on WI - not amused but its my own fault... i didnt eat as much fruit as i normally would this week.

also didnt get the house i wanted. i was getting it (best bid repo) until some ummm... lets call them a wazzock?... til some wazzock put a cash bid in on the afternoon my final bid was submitted. and they accepted the cash bid! grrrrrr :mad::mad::mad::mad: not remotely amused. i mean who on earth would have over 50k of disposable cash at the drop of a hat?! i was going to do up that poor neglected building and live in it until i could afford to move on to something bigger. it was the only house i could afford, and now that sausage is going to do it up and sell it on for a massive margin and doesnt give two hoots. hes not going to live in it. sorry ladies, had to have a little rant :o

Really don't get me going on developers, in it for the money, s*d everone else. British Empire at it's best sometimes. ...:o
    Ahem.
Sorry to hear about the house, you was so looking forward to that, sad thing is you will always look on that as "the one I didn't get" - good news is there's a better one coming ... one day. Keep looking, lots coming your way if the market news and financial situation is to be believed.

Evilsquid has the right of it. - I was dropping 3-4lb a week - leveling out now with 1 and 2lb losses. Sure you can lose more if you drop your syns to 0, but realistically that makes for a dull day. No sugar, chocolate.... crisps, cheese...

Hubby is badly with man flu..which inturn has written off my holiday weekend:mad: I know I am coming down with the bug that the lovely lady brought to group last week too. Give me comfort foooooddddd! :(

i definately need to start writing my food diary again - today is one of those days i just want nibbly things ( * week is kicking off today)

a fruit shop is definately required tomorrow - only have a couple of satsumas left... need to make a snack box again for fruit.

ive only just discovered an absolute gem of a thing from the supermarket - pre-sliced cheese. each slice is 20g so its handy if im making a bap or something for lunch to cut 1.5 slices :) less scale weighing time :j

im thinking ill maybe make a cottage pie for tomorrows dinner? individual portions means i can top mine with carrots and sweetpotato and other smooshed veggies, and give the rest proper toppings.

thinking of investing in a slow cooker - has anyone got one? are they any good?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

I LOVE mine. I throw everything in and don't have to think about it anymore. My DH was afraid I'd buy it, use it a couple of times, then it would be collecting dust, but I have proved him wrong. :p

czernicha (probably spelt wrong - sorry!) - I am exactly the same with chocolate in that I can't control it so I went cold turkey on 8th Jan and have never looked back... there's the odd day that I fancy some but it goes again. Yesterday DS had unwrapped a mini creme egg but decided he didn't want it so I shoved it in my mouth then realised what I'd done and spat it out into the bin so I wouldn't get the taste for it  Drastic measures I know but for me it's an addiction :(

    + 3lbs :(

so that's it! I am divorcing the love of my life! CHOCOLATE!

I hated seeing the 15st on the scales again!

I am not eating any chocolate this week! And I am going back to basics and will be extra good too!

Sorry to hear you gained, I hope quitting the chocolate helps:)
Today is my first day on FF and it's hard work. Consultant rang last night and gave me my points total which seems very low :(:(, but I will give it a good go!

A previous consultant said that the good thing about FF was that it made you really glad to get back to EE and food optimising... I can see her point!

I'm not going to post what I eat because you have to ask your consultant for this plan.. but if anyone wants to know how it's going then please feel free to PM me.
All the best with this, I know you can't say what you are eating, but let us know if it is a hard slog;)

Yes, I have one and probably need to try a few more varieties tbh. Although I do like it, everything seems to come out tasting the same:cool: I will start to experiment a bit more I think, problem is my actifry now sits in it's place:rotfl:

    I am doing red today.
B - Weetabix, milk (heB, heA)
L - Poached eggs on toast, strawbs and activia (heB)
D - Hunters (new yorker) chicken, carrot and swede mash, green beans (heA)

    Snack/extras snack a jacks x 2 (4 syns)

First time I have made the chicken and it was absolutely GORGEOUS, I will be making it again very soon:p

Hi S/W's, I am new to this thread but 3 months into SW and honestly have just been lurking here and have picked up so many tips just reading the threads, only 5 pounds to target now as well!

Eternal sunshine, I see you are from NI so am I, where did you get your meat parcel from (I know SW doesnt endorse these any longer) but would like to get one as well, would love a sausage and not a quorn one which I hate!

gettingthere Well done on reaching target!! Don't feel bad about moving your target. I bet most of us have done it. I have had to change mine as I looked old and hagard at target. I was aiming to be the same weight as I was 15 years ago, which was the last time I lost a lot of weight. family and friends have asked me not to go so low. I do understand how you feel though.

I haven't had a official weigh in for a couple of weeks and we have had to cancel as the hospital is having major refurbishment. Our room is now a store room :) My plan is not to weigh myself except on my old WI day.

After almost a year on EE I think I am getting the hang of it. Today I have stuffed myself with salad but would have preferred something more warming as we have had a few flurries of snow.

Thanks poohbear, I am ugly enough without looking haggard to boot! :rotfl:

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!
