    Hi all

Well done to all that lost, I lost 1.5lb this week, :D:T 1lb next week will take me to my 1st stone and am halfway there :D. I started my 30 day shred dvd, its only 20 mins but boy does she work you hard, I am literally crying out in pain at the end :rotfl:, now on day 3 and my shoulder, thighs n abs are a wee  bit sore to say the least.

CY - sorry about your gain, have you not been doing a lot of swimming & riding? Perhaps muscle gain rather than fat gain?

  • Thanks kandfs mam - yday I just felt like I was somewhere that I really didn't want to be, and that I was in a situation where I was trapped, as though I could either make a bad choice (that I didn't want to make!!) or effectively have to go hungry.

Just wish the OH would be more supportive, he agreed to support me when I started this and eating out is one of them things that I need the help on. He's so selfish sometimes it really makes me question everything :-(

How do you cope when the eating is prompted by emotion not hunger?
MY best best friend gave me devastating news yesterday, she has B.C and will have surgery in a fortnight. I just want to comfort eat and have already had bread and cereal at breakfast and a biscuit with my coffee. Part of me is feeling "life is too short" etc I should be enjoying myself more, part of me is thinking, hmmmm, time to take care of yourself, excess alcohol and weight are increased risk factors. Also < I will be doing a good bit of cooking and baking for her, if she needs it of course.

You and i must be in some sort of weird harmony Piglet - last night - 2lb on!!!!!!!!

I was hacked off big time. I have been given the fast forward diet and the consultant is ringing me to discuss it tomorrow!

i have read up a bit on the net on FF,

    it seems soooooooooooo strict

its based on a units measurement, with lots of people sayng they were starving while doing it.

yet our consultant keeps saying "if you are hungry on the plan, you are doing something wrong"...

im not sure i want to be starving just to shift the last half stone or so:o i want to be able to maintain this forever...

let us know what your consultant says, and what meals you plan to go for,

    good luck ;)

Sorry to hear about your friend :( I think emotional eating is very hard to deal with, try and take care of your self xxx
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Comfort eating is my thing. I had to come to terms with WHY before I could deal with it. I now can crave without binging - taken some doing and alot of honest soul searching.
    So... ask yourself these questions.
If I eat this will I feel any better for it, or just worse/guilty once I've scoffed it?:D
Is there a way of satisfying that "comfort food craving" and staying in plan? (Fried rice with more salt than usual smacks that "must have crisps" on the head for me for example)
How will I feel when I don't loose any weight in a week, because I wanted to feel better for a minute?

Think about your answers , then raid the cupboard for something. :D

Also think on -B.C is a frightening thing. Turns your world and those close to you on it's head- you spend days and months waiting to hear from appointments, results, hope, no hope. And there are more ways to prevent/remove the tumour now than ever before.
Be there for your friend, help her through it, let her deal with it on her terms.
Another question for you to chew over before you raid the crisps...
How will you feel when your friend gets the "all clear" and you have another 2 or 3 stone to loose?
  • :( O Arty thats so sad lets hope shes as well as can be through it all xx As for the comfort eating I have this to an art for any excuse but I also know that I will feel hundreds time worse an hour or 2 later, do what ever you can id say and cope with it how you need too... Maybe treat yourself to some lovely fresh flowers and fruit just to pick on when needs be or some alpen light bars sweet and filling..

Well ive finally got to weigh in day with syns to spare knowing ive been 100 % all week I feel angelic but its down to the dreaded scales to decide tonight lol ... its so nice to feel focussed and on track again bonkers how eating so much rubbish can make you so down and fed up eh, good luck to all weighing today and well done everyone else on plan x
