During image therapy at my group, if you have had a loss then our consultant will mention it - if its a gain then our consultant plays it by ear especially if its a large gain. I didn't get mentioned the other week when it was + 3.5 for me! :D

Our consultant usually skips over members who haven't stayed and certainly doesn't give chapter and verse on their weight gains. Sometimes she will say "so and so had a loss of so many pounds" and we give them a clap even though they haven't stayed. :T:T:T :T:T She sometimes tells us how much we have lost as a whole which is nice and we give ourselves a nice round of applause :)

Well finally got to see a medical person today, wasn't Dr though just nurse practioner [she was nice though]. Hubby got through at 8.45am and Dr's fully booked, so fed up with our surgery its beyond a joke.
Anyway Nurse doesn't think its my heart but just to set my mind at rest I am booked for a ECG and fasting blood test on Friday and if anything changes [for the worse] before then to get back to them. Think I'd go straight to A&E as the wait will be less :p She did say I had the blood pressure of an 18 year old, when I told hubby he said 'pity you don't have the body of one though', you can go right off some people :rotfl:
Our helpers don't have to pay to be weighed - but that's because they are at target. They've been helping for years. Occasionally if they are stuck I will help with the shop if I get there early, but never get offered anything, not that I want anything! I couldn't offer full time though, as generally it's a rush for me to get there after work.

One thing about our new consultant ... she not only tells the whole class how much you've lost (which is kind of OK), she also tells the whole class how much you've gained (not so OK); she also gives details of losses and gains on the people who hav en't stayed - I really don't think that's very nice, they aren't there to defend themselves and it's really no-one's business but theirs. What do you think?

WI for me tomorrow, I hold out no hope. I feel chunky.

Not sure this should be allowed, doesn't it say in the blurb that its confidential? I wouldn't be happy if I knew my gains/losses were being told to the class 'behind my back'. So glad I didn't go to class this time round.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Our new consultant also gives out details of how much people have gained - I didn't much enjoy it when I put on 3lbs a fortnight ago! I go to be encouraged, not shamed into weight loss!

    WI tomorrow - fingers crossed!

Our consultant is quite sensitive, she doesn't go over the weight losses/gains of the people who don't stay. she does say some gains for the people who stay but I think she assesses who will mind and who would hate it.

One thing she does that I don't like is that if someone has put on she still says "well done" and we all clap. x

    Morning all,

Couldn't get on yesterday and have just had a quick read through the last couple of pages - well done to those that have lost!

When I used to be a clerk at *whispers* WW we used to get free weigh ins (none of us were at goal) and also used to get paid a small amount - it was something like 20p for every person through the door, those that stayed and new starters, but this was then split between the 4 helpers so ended up around £1.50-£2 each - still, enough to go to the chippy on the way home :rotfl: And therein lay the problems- not only the chippy but also there wasn't a monetary incentive to do well since it was free anyway. It was also difficult to be an active member of the class since I did the money and tally sheets so was doing all the adding up while the talk was going on. For most of the 2 or 3 years I was clerking, neither me, my mum nor the two other girls really lost a significant amount, although I have to say I enjoyed helping out.

Re. reading out losses and gains - my leader will say something like 'you didn't lose this week' or 'you had a small gain' but doesn't say how much. Quite often the member themselves will say it, but I'm glad that the leader doesn't.

What a day! Car broken down out in the Fens; roadside recovery took 3 hours in total  . And I haven't resorted to choccie, wine, gin, nuts to make me 'feel better'! :A Am so chuffed with myself - but not the car of course. Looks to be a costly affair.
Everyone else in the household had takeaway pizza's for supper, I had mushy pea curry. Scrummy.
Have had a raging headache so went for a walk on my own this evening and have clocked up almost 6km. ;) And the headache isn't as bad as it was.
Let's hope tomorrow is not as taxing.

Well done- I think the hardest thing is resisting when everyone else is having something naughty, and with all the other stresses as well you've done brilliantly :)

Had my second weigh in last night - was quite shocked to have lost 6lb! I had been good and stuck to plan 100% (ok, 99%) but didn't expect to lose more than in my first week. Must admit I am a little worried about next week now! After WI we went to my bro's for tea as it was his birthday, and since I had all my syns and 2 HEs spare I had a couple of mini kievs, a small piece of lasagne, a jacket spud and a small piece of cake (which disappointingly, wasn't that nice).

    Today's plan- green
B: 2 Weetabix (HEB), milk (HEA), banana
    L: Mugshot, pear, mullerlight
T: Probably some roasted veg with quorn and jacket spud, cheese (HEB)
    S: Rocky (5.5), Mini milk (1.5), butter (2)

    Have a good day everyone!

welcome to one of the curses of SW! because we know what else we could have had for the say 15 syns in a slice of cake, whenever you eat something that isn't totally amazing and melt in the mouth and dripping with choccy or cream and jam and everything you like, all you end up thinking is "i may as well have had a dairy milk!"

I have never been to class, simply because I can't afford to:( but I don't think I would like my losses and gains shared with group of people, especially if I was fairly new. I suppose over time you would all become friendly and might not mind so much, but maybe the consultant should check first, whether you want your information shared.

I desperately need shopping, we ended up fence building yesterday, so a bit of body magic in there:T with the digging and sawing lol. I have had some fried mushrooms and beans on toast and an apple this morning:)

As always, please correct me if I am wrong in my meal planner. I used to do SW back before EE was introduced so I am not entirely sure about it:o

    EE day.

B - Mushrooms, beans, toast, apple (heB)
L - Tuna + sweetcorn jacket potato, salad, yoghurt (? syns for salad cream)
    D - Spaghetti bolognese.
S - Something treaty for my syns :D

    I think that is right:cool:

For EE a 1/3rd of your plate has to be superfree - that's fruit and veg but NOT sweetcorn, peas ,potato or baked beans.

So your day is looking a bit thin on S/F for EE. Sorry.

My group is told that even when putting extra veg in a spag bol you should still serve a helping of veg with it. This is because the veg in your bolognese would cook down and by the time you eat it it won't be 1/3rd of what you're eating..
