I hate mondays, mostly because there isn't the will power in me to deal with it- no time to eat proper so I never plan proper so I don't eat proper....
(and on)
Planning is the key to this SW. So I have a pork joint cooked, I have charcoaled 3 lots of SW chips today:eek: Decided to just go with savoury rice in the end:rotfl: monumentally big lack of superfree though... scoffing salad as we speak before Uni.
Syn count so far today is 3 syns rounding up as always
Weigh in is wednesday - I need 1.5lb off to get my club 10 and 2 stone. ...Slightly focused on new shineys... even with the scone disaster this weekend.0 -

Not sure what do for dinner tonight - did the SW pizza on Saturday and it was actually very yum!! May have to do a stir fry this week.
I do the weighing in at our group and I find that the "slightly nervous" ones usually do fine. You'll be ok, good luck. x0 -
Can anyone tell me if you help at the SW class do you get your weigh in free?Maybe it varies from class to class.
Well done to all the people who have weighed in so far and had a loss.

No we don't get our weigh in free but our consultant gives us a magazine free. I love helping out, it's great to see people's progress. x
Good luck for tonight x0 -
Nope, don't get anything for it here, haven't for the 7 weeks I have been helping. Not even a magazine. I do the weigh-in bit while the consultant ( now on our 3rd) talks over the book with the new starters. Another lovely lady does the fees.
I try to be motivational... don't know if it works.0 -

Well done losers!
I've had a good second week, 3lb off, so really please with that as I wasn't really fancying much and didn't feel as if I'd had much sf veg although plenty of fruit.
I made a baked cheesecake on Saturday, was really looking forward to it but it was awful, had a curdled texture, I followed the quark, mullerlite 2 eggs recipe. Anyone got a cheesecake recipe that is nice, please?16 April 2012 begin SW - Loss to date 22/39

i made the syns free lemon meringue from the thread on here,
and tho the base was lovely (quark, fomge frais, lemon rind and juice)
the meringue was very disappointing, flat etc.
we are blaming the sweetner, not being as course as sugar, so not holding the peaks so well, we used a copy of canderelle from lidl,
any one have a better sweetner in mind, splenda, canderelle etc?
I think there is a new sweetner called truvia that our consultant mentioned at class a few weeks back. I don't know if this is any good for meringues though?shellieholly wrote: »:wave:Helloooo new peeps! :hello:

I find Mondays really hard because I usually have no lunch planned. Despite being home on Sundays i don't seem to be able to find the time to prep anything so today I went to work with nothing. I did buy some strawberries which I munched on for breakfast but lunch ended up being a prawn salad from Mr T which reined in at a whopping 13.5 syns. This was at least a better option over a sandwich though plus the crisps I would have munched with the sandwich...
I was thinking this morning that I must write out my menu ideas on index cards and shuffle them so that I can instantly create meal plans. I don't like to eat first thing (a long time of eating no breakfasts when I was younger coming back to bite me on the bum) so typically I get to work and fill up on cereal bars (HEB or syns) because these are the easiest things to eat when sat in the office with your boss. Shame we don't have full kitchen facilities so that I could knock up a sw free bacon sarnie late morning!0 -

lamb mince is listed as 9.5 syns per 100g for less than 16% fat and more than 16% fat is 12.5. its only 2 syns on EE so your prob better upping the SF and having an EE day.
tomato puree is now free, as are other veg purees like garlic and ginger puree provided there is no extra added oil. all the "jelly" stock pots that used to be synned are now free too.
Thank You x
I don't really have much in the way of fruit or veg in the house until I go shopping, so left it as a green day. It was divided by 4 so say 7 syns each, that put me on 13 syns for the day
Good luck to those WI tonight x
