I am sure I have some pork in the freezer I will tell OH to take out just now & bung that in, I like meat in my SF, not a lover of fish sauce so will miss that out, I have chinese 5 spice & everything else, are all the noodles beansprouts free??

BTW - I have always counted WM pitta as HEB, Its usually Asda or Tesco I get them, is this wrong??? I always wondered why book specifically said Co-op Pittal:eek::eek:

beansprouts are SF. dried noodles are free, fresh ones are 100g for 2 syns on EE but tbh, i usually count these as free anyway.
  • Hi all,

Lots of posts to catch up with from over the weekend!

This weekend didn't go too badly (I think...!!!). It was OH's birthday yesterday, we went out for an Indian yesterday night. I was good and went for an EE day, saved all my HE's and Syns for it; avoided poppadoms and naans, I had a stuffed whole green pepper to start (delicious!, and cooked in the tandoor so no fat), main I had chicken madras with plain rice, and we had a sag paneer as a side (hopefully the cheese could go towards a HE, and the spinanch would be free). So I hope that my syns should have been pretty much on target, the curry wasn't oily or creamy so fingers crossed. Made birthday cake for OH and didn't eat any :-) out for dinner again on Tuesday for his "posh" bday meal....argh!! Lol.

    Weigh in tonight, fingers crossed.

Everyone was so welcoming & encouraging, just like this thread really.

I'm planning a couple of hours reading through all the stuff & trying to get my head around it all.

Bumcakes. I think I've had too many HEBs today then - I will have to syn the hummus. It was 50cals so that's 2.5 syns I think. I've had a pitta bread and a kellog's fibre plus.

Blimey though, that pitta hummus was lush. I'd forgotten how delicious sandwichy things can be when you don't have them often.

i made the syns free lemon meringue from the thread on here,

and tho the base was lovely (quark, fomge frais, lemon rind and juice)

the meringue was very disappointing, flat etc.

we are blaming the sweetner, not being as course as sugar, so not holding the peaks so well, we used a copy of canderelle from lidl,

any one have a better sweetner in mind, splenda, canderelle etc?

    I'm another lb down.

Been trying to making sw freindly choices this weekend but took the kids out for lunch yesterday and totally forgot that I was being sensible til half way through a dish of prawn crackers- opps!

I usually do green days but going out on Tues for steak so having a red day - any suggestions for a red lunch thats easy to take to work?

Hi, it doesn't have to be a red lunch, could you take some home made veg soup? You could also use one of your healthy extras by taking a sandwich (chicken salad, salmon and cucumber)

Hope that helps - have a good time x

Hi, I always use Splenda but I just can't get meringue to work. Any tips would be gratefully received. x
