I have the headache from hell  I'm putting it down to withdrawl off of the pepsi, but it's not just that I've been in right foul and miserable mood all day.

    Food wise I've been good
EE B- Muller with grapes, melon and pieneapple
L - Prawns and some more melon
T will be chicken and sweetcorn soup, with garlic, spring onions, red and green peppers and strawberries and meringue for pudding.

Although at the moment I don't fancy anything, I've just cooked a roast chicken for the girls tea and plan to strip it but the thought of food at the moment is making me feel worse.

Bleurgh, I'm very tempted to pop to the shops for some pespi. :( I think giving up smoking and pepsi whilst trying to stick with sw all in the same month was a bit hopeful.

Becks, don't go cold turkey with it - get some and water it down and slowly wean yourself off - you'll feel much better.

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
  • I've just come in from a very long day - lots of driving (3hrs out and 3 back) as we had my son's army ceremony as he's graduated from Officer Training School. I'm very proud of him but I went completely unprepared. I was expecting to eat somewhere near there but there were no restaurants around and I ended up eating completely the wrong food.

I'm putting it down to a complete flexi-day, and finishing it off with a glass of white wine which has gone straight to my head and legs so I'm off to bed!

Well done all the losers and welcome to all newbies - hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Yes best to maybe cut down by half first of all on the pepsi, caffeine withdrawel symptoms can be a bit rough :( Can you alternate a glass of pepsi with a glass of fizzy water/juice, and gradually reduce the amount of glasses you have over the space of a few weeks xx

Dh was nipping the shop a little while ago so I asked him to pick me a sw mag up, but they had none :-( When is the new one due out please, I am wondering if they have taken the old one off?

I have done really well today, no chocolate, apart from the choc sprinkle mullerlight I have just eaten ;) we eat our dinner quite early because the kids have clubs pretty much every night except friday and sunday! SO dinner is usually about 4.30pm at the latest, I need to make sure I have sw friendly foods in to have later on as by 8pm/9pm I am starting to get hungry. I have some mushrooms, so might fry some up and have them on a peice of toast shortly, as I am still missing a heB x

hope everyone is doing well today...

Yep - I kinda made it up as I went along...

600g I used courgette, carrot, peppers, 1 spud, green beans and corn - could use cauli, peas, anything. Chopped into chunks then roasted at 180 for 25 mins - I adeded the beans and corn after roasting.

While they are in cook 1 1/2 cups of basmati rice and handful of red lentils together til just tender.

Dry fry 1 table spoon each cumin, coriander and fennel seeds, 8 peppercorns, 2 cloves and 2 green cardamon then grind. Fry 2 onions in frylite, add 3 cloves galric and a 5cm peice of ginger and a chilli roughly chopped - add a tin of toms and cook for 15 mins - add the spices and blend. Toss the veg into the sauce.

Put half the rice and lentils into a baking dish, pour over the sauce/ veg and top with the rest of the rice. bake for 20m at 180 til the top is crispy.

Can anyone tell me if you help at the SW class do you get your weigh in free?Maybe it varies from class to class.
Well done to all the people who have weighed in so far and had a loss.
I weigh in tonight too & am hoping for a loss.

Our helpers don't have to pay to be weighed - but that's because they are at target. They've been helping for years. Occasionally if they are stuck I will help with the shop if I get there early, but never get offered anything, not that I want anything! I couldn't offer full time though, as generally it's a rush for me to get there after work.

One thing about our new consultant ... she not only tells the whole class how much you've lost (which is kind of OK), she also tells the whole class how much you've gained (not so OK); she also gives details of losses and gains on the people who hav en't stayed - I really don't think that's very nice, they aren't there to defend themselves and it's really no-one's business but theirs. What do you think?

WI for me tomorrow, I hold out no hope. I feel chunky.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

What a day! Car broken down out in the Fens; roadside recovery took 3 hours in total  . And I haven't resorted to choccie, wine, gin, nuts to make me 'feel better'! :A Am so chuffed with myself - but not the car of course. Looks to be a costly affair.
Everyone else in the household had takeaway pizza's for supper, I had mushy pea curry. Scrummy.
Have had a raging headache so went for a walk on my own this evening and have clocked up almost 6km. ;) And the headache isn't as bad as it was.
Let's hope tomorrow is not as taxing.
