Ahhhhhh ok so it will be fine when it's in the oven, no danger of it separating at that stage? Actually that's probably a silly question because I've made the SW omelette using quark and it was fine.

No it definitely didn't separate in the oven.

    Enjoy!

I did SW a few years ago and was successful but have sadly put much of the weight back on. I was therefore thinking of re-joining and a friend has agreed to join with me so we can help each other.

I wondered if anyone knew of any offers for free membership or similar? Sometimes magazines have offers I think or maybe one of you members could refer us? Thanks in advance for any help.
  • Have just made this for dinner tonight - haven't tasted the chicken but the sauce is divine -

    Fried Chicken with Coconut Milk

    8 chicken legs I only used 4
    4 chicken thighs
    2 cloves garlic
    2 tblspns sweetener
    2 tsps salt
    1 tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic salt I used garlic pepper instead of the pepper and garlic salt
    Frylight
    2 small onions
1 tsp lime juice I used lemon juice
    1 tsp curry powder
    1 cup coconut milk
    2 bay leaves

Sprinkle chicken pieces with salt, pepper and garlic salt
Spray a large frying pan and the chicken well with Frylight
Brown the chicken on all sides and remove from the pan
Grind onions and garlic together in a food chopper
Brown the onion and garlic mixture in the frying pan
Add the sweetener, lime juice and curry powder and cook until the onion is tender
Return the chicken to the pan
Add the coconut milk and bayleaves and coat the chicken well
Cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes

there was one in reveal but its prob ended now. groups pretty much permanently have a half price membership offer going, i don't think anyone has ever paid full price.

It's strange you said this I googled and found:

Join Slimming World before 26th May and get half price membership. That’s only £5.00 to join and £4.95 weekly – a total of just £9.95 to pay on your first night!

then I thought, that's what you always pay to join! I'm sure it won't go up at the end of May, hardly a wise thing to do in a recession.

If you really need to save money cte1111, you could just go for the first week to get the talk and the books and then you and your friend could go it alone (with help from here of course;)).
  • Grr.
Whats the Morrisons 70% reduced fat sausages (don't think they were eat smart) syn count anyone?
60% thick eat smarts are 1/2 a syn...should I go with that..? I don't have the packaging, put them in little bags of two.. chucked the packet.

Online syn count doesn't have a 70% one...
    perhaps it wasn't 70% :o *sigh*

Nearly fell foul of the 70% less fat cottage cheese... but it has more fat that then good for you on in asda... marketing madness.
